All of them? Theather of the mind and ep 4 (the sewers) "each other wanted what the other had, but could never have for their own" are very obvious, but what about the rest of the episodes?

if I'm real, I'd have to go look through the episodes again given it's been a long time and I'm fixated on things other than sounds of nightmares, but I definitely do believe all, if not a few episodes have to be related to otto and noone or express something particular within each episode, as while the worldbuilding is nice, in and of itself, there's a layer deeper and the most I was able to gather from is theater of the mind, which explicitly shows the sort needy desire otto has to have his patients, like noone, and more than that, his sister, stay by trying to appease to their wants and needs, with little things like cake, trying to be as nice as possible but ultimately it ends up driving more of a wedge with how good he tries to appear to be, because it comes from a clingy and codependency to not lose anyone else to the candleman ( I forgot his other alias ) I feel like if someone were to try and go through the episodes, I'd compare the events within the reality vs. the nightmares themselves because I think maybe there's a sort of theming? it gets more relevant within the later episodes but, yeah. lowkey I've been holding all of my tson anon asks on the back burner because I've jus' been rocking around different fixations atm ( fargo, dead plate, ocs, etc. ) but !! I do miss otto and I do want to even elaborate on my rusty design because I wanted to update the reference for that, so I might push some of them out or at least express my thoughts a little more

one thing that I always keep in mind regarding otto is how his off-putting nature I feel like is really because of how uncomfortable it must be in general with how work was like before noone came along like, referring to kids with numbers, likely giving them sleep medication and calling it candy as a means to help them sort of be lulled into a sense of security, the fuckin' room where patients can just watch those who've recovered be all happy while they're in a stale routine, like it's all sort of making me think hard about what it is like just trying to cope with all of that, but my fixation sounds of nightmares is super spotty nowadays so I can't piece a lot together atm
