Imagine taking a hike and stumbling across that

the lowblood alpha trolls are just the scooby gang like rufioh = fred damara = daphne kankri = velma mituna = shaggy meulin = scooby doo

Gonna casually bring up a character reaction I remember seeing in an analysis post

Y’all remember that scene where Kankri comes to Cronus’s defense about something (I don’t remember exactly what it was about, don’t @ me) and Cronus is like “hey man, no, you don’t gotta do that”?

I personally think this is one of the most genuine moments we get from either of them out of everything we’ve seen, and also one of the few moments when we see them interacting with one another

So anyways, I’m weak for Beforan headcanons (especially anything about pre-game stuff)-

Thinking about the Alpha trolls dead is actually pretty sad. Their coping mechanisms, being forgotten after everything they’d been through (and not getting any part in the Ultimate Reward won from the Alpha kids session)… Aranea’s and Meenah’s fights to stay relevant… it’s heavy.

Something that really sticks for me is how, in the dreambubbles, they’ve built up these walls and facades over the course of eternity that have left them stagnant, spinning their wheels in ruts they’ll never get out of. Maybe this was intentional on Hussie’s part, maybe it wasn’t and they’re really just that 1-dimensional, but that’s how I absorbed it.

Porrim, however, seems a bit more… present? If that’s the word? I don’t know if it has to do with being the Maid of Space or what but like she’s trying to have deep conversations with her friends, but it’s just about as fruitful as slamming her head against a wall repeatedly.

When talking to Kankri in Openbound, she gets kind of exasperated with him? He keeps coming back to all the issues they dealt with on Beforus, some issues that are hardly relevant on Alternia, let alone either iteration of Earth (and not just any one specific conversation). At one point, he outright says “I just don’t want to distract from all the more glaring issues that desperately need the full attention of our people if we are going to make any progress as a civilization,” and Porrim delivers what feels like it should have been a powerful “EVERYONE IS DEAD!!!” Kankri, of course, without hesitation, just responds in his usual manner. He’s blocked out everything that could hurt him, has taken up this purpose of trying to solve issues (in his own way) that don’t even matter anymore.

Again, when Porrim talks to Latula, she comes off as oblivious. Apparently, she didn’t even know much of anything about her post-scratch life, which is fault on her own part. If she was interested, she could have easily learned the story, if not from Terezi (post-retcon, most likely), than someone else. But, Porrim tells her the troubling tale, and she listens somewhat attentively.

In the end, Latula’s just kinda “Huh, that makes sense!” to Porrim’s confusion. When she inquires further, the answers Latula give are, “It just does, babez,” and “Try being a Mind player,” which are, perhaps, the most vague and nondescript answers possible. And she can’t even back it up, because when Porrim asked if she could explain it to her, it was a clear “Nope!” disguised as a “Check out this outstanding healflip!”

Later, Latula does open up to Porrim a bit more, lets the rad girl getup fall away a bit, and she just seems… sad. Sad and tired.

I could talk about each and everyone of them (especially the circles Rufioh and Horuss run around in) but this post is already gonna be long smh

Listen I got a Minecraft hyperfixation in 2010 and it never fully went away

I sort of fell out of the fandom for a year or so (I still played, but I stopped watching YouTube tbh) but I came back and I haven’t lost interest yet x_x

i saw that you said you were ancient, nah, you're teenager age, maybe. i've been watching the captain since 2014. if you're ancient, im just dead at this point.

okay, it’s time. here we go:

A Comprehensive List of the MCYT Generations

Pre-2010: The Elders

Cryptids. Elusive. Probably more into the game itself than the content creators, but still remembers watching youtubers that have long since faded into obscurity. You remember the very first appearance of Herobrine, and either adore or struggle with the newer updates. You probably really liked the Pewdiepie minecraft series in 2019, because you could relate to his wonder at everything new.

2010-2014: The Golden Age

Most of us at least dabbled in mcyt during this period, but very few were truly pulled into the fandom. You know all the big names: Bajan, Jerome, Sky, Captain, AntVenom, ihascupquakes. A very prosperous time that has been made even brighter by nostalgia. You remember bopping to Revenge and shedding tears over Fallen Kingdom, truly believing that minecraft parodies were the greatest achievement of man. The true test of courage, though, is whether you made it through:

2014-2018: The Lost Generation

The entire mcyt community salutes you if you survived this period, but especially if you joined during it. It shows great personal strength and individual thinking, cause very few channels were much talked about here. You remember some very obscure channels, and likely follow a good mix of old mcytbers and the new mcytbers. You’re accustomed to cum jokes in block games, but would probably cry if Jerome swore on stream.

2019: The Renaissance

You remember watching SMPLive when it was actually live. You remember waiting for new episodes of Pewdiepie’s minecraft series, and crying about Sven. You remember looking forward to monday every week, and watching a6d beef with Keem on twitter. You remember watching Techno breach 1mil, the pure bliss of MCM6, anticipating SMPEarth, wondering who tf the TommyInnt is. You’re the bridge between the Golden Age and the Modern Age, and likely hold more nostalgia for the first age of Youtubers than those from:

2020: The Modern Age

You’re here for the friendships, don’t pretend otherwise. You joined in the age of the Sleepy Bois, the Dream Team, MCC and L’manburg, and you’re living for the family dynamics. You’re accustomed to the power of the twitter stans, and can’t understand the struggle of getting into minecraft when it was less celebrated. You’re probably younger and don’t quite understand all the nostalgia, so have made some stupid mistakes about mcyt lore in the past, but your enthusiasm more than makes up for this.

which age are y’all from? did i get it right?
