Panel 1: Alex is standing next to a sitting Dolly, “I still can’t believe it,” he says. Panel 2: Alex is enthusiastic, “YOU? A principal? That’s so cool Dolly!” Dolly’s mouth is sewn shut; smiling, “Haha… Thank you.”

Panel 3: Dolly looks at Alex, who has a big smile on his face, “Hey Alex…” “Yeah?” “Why are you so happy? I’ve never…” Panel 4: Alex interrupts Dolly, “Oh! Whenever I was sad you always kept smiling. I didn’t understnd why. At first I thought it was creepy actually. And also sad? Your face is basically stitched together. So you’re basically forcing yourself to smile!” Dolly stared at Alex, still smiling, “And you’d be correct…” “But then I realised… Even if your smile was fake. Your love wasn’t.” “WHAT?”

Panel 5: Alex bends down, his arms braced on his chest as he continues his speech, “I’m right! Right?” The background begins to darken, “You love me so much that you’d smile forever just to give me one reason to smile again!” Panel 6: Alex’s hand is reaching for the stitches on Dollh’s mouth, “So I think it’s only fair that I return the favour by smiling for you!” The background darkens from a cream white to a dark mauve, “It’s your turn to frown!”

Panel 7: Dolly grabs Alex’s wirst, stopping him from touching her face. “I’m sorry, I appreciate the gesture… I really do… But there’s someone I still need to keep smiling for.” The dark mauve speech bubble crosses over onto panel 8. Panel 8: The dark mauve speech bubble leads to a cream white panel. Asmodena is trying to wake up Dolly by smacking her head, “WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKEUP.” Candice is crouching on the opposite side, “If she hits you don’t blame me.”

Asmodena: Looks like you had a good sleep. Was it a good dream?

Dolly: …Yes… Yes, it was.
