I wanted to see the two of them hanging out together, also I guess this counts as Real Alex Suffering? I feel like no matter what activity these two do together Alex will always be in some sort of misery.

Unfortunately, no new lore for Scrina and Ms. Immortal, it’s really funny to me how Ms. Immortal’s wiki is just desolate and bare even in the remake. Bless her soul 🙏

Just to clarify and reminder: THIS LORE ONLY APPLIES TO THE REMASTER! I don’t know why, but it probably has to do with the fact even Alex’s college got a complete redesign and overhaul. So it only makes sense that the characters get the same treatment.

@roxyteal Personally, I’m fine with all the new lore. The only one I’m abit let down with is Asmodena.

Like you said, the reoccuring theme of demons was super cool. Actually, I think Asmodena being a demon apprentice to Alex is way more compelling than a curious alien living with him. It was super cathartic watching Asmodena — someone who grew up witnessing violence and all the perversions of intimacy as a demon from the Lust ring — go against her beliefs and decide to live as a human instead of a demon because she wants to do what is right.

I don’t know why MrDrNose changed it, maybe it was to lean into her “silliness” more and away from the “horny” since y’know Lust ring. But personally I believe that it’s POSSIBLE to write a succubus without needing to be horny all the time. Not to brag or be arrogant, but I’ve done it, I never published any work regarding it — but if anyone wants to see proof, I will.

For example, I actually think Asmodena being a succubus is really interesting since it COULD utilise her intersexuality in a really contemplative way. Not only is she not as brutal as her fellow demons, she can’t even perform the “tasks” required by a succubus.

So I imagine that her going under Alex’s apprenticeship/work is some last ditch effort to gain some respect. She is a daughter of ASMODEUS, so I imagine there’s some pressure to make things right. Also I think having multiple demons in the story makes it more coherent and diverse. Alex and Asmodena are VERY different in how they are treated by others and how they treat other people. The dichotomy makes some fun un-spoken storytelling.

Another character I want to commentate on is Candy/Candice since you brought her up. I’m honestly indifferent to her change, both versions are good and I’m not exactly sure which is “better.” I LIKED the idea of Candy/Candice having Disassociative Identity Disorder, but honestly it’s not necessary to ABiBaZ’s story. Not only that but it also falls into a classic bad faith stereotype of there being a “bad alter” and “good alter,” which leads to both alters antagonising eachother.

I KNOW IN MY HEART, there is a way to write such a story in a beautiful and subversive way — take for example “The Low Quality Onceler” by Elias, a story wherein rather than being about “the good alter defeating the bad alter” it’s about “learning to understand and accept your alters even if they seem scary at first, and who knows maybe YOU are the scary one to them.” But I know that’s not the story ABiBaZ wants to tell. So I understand why it’s been retconned.

What was it retconned for? What I can only imagine will eventually lead to a metaphor regarding substance abuse, lmao. The tropes are literally THERE: “Potion made from candy that gives the user power but decreases their rationality and search for more candy.” That in itself is an interesting story that I could definitely see MrDrNose have an easier time writing for. Also it gives way for Alex to show his evilness because he would totally take advantage of Candice’s irrational mental state.

He did it already in the original game where it’s implied that he intentionally triggers Candy Princess to front so that he can have her clean the building. And we already know Candice hates Candy fronting without permission — toxic dynamic, my beloved, ah… — so yeah, Alex ruined her life before he can certainely do it again.

As for the rest, they’re fine, lol. Olivia could be either interchangeably, I guess it depends on what vibe you want. Not trashing on your opinon btw!! Just expanding on the discussion since I also have strong feelings regarding the lore dump.

Alex: The demon likes to play with their food.

Alex: It was 2 years ago… Actually no, it was 8 years ago…

Alex: I thought I would find peace in death, but when I died I went to a strange place. It was so bright, but it wasn’t heaven. It was warm, but it wasn’t hell. I was greeted by grass so green it looked like plastic, and a sky so clear that if it were night I bet I would’ve been able to see every single constellation. Not a single spot of smoke or snow, it was so different from where I lived. The place was so… Great…

Olivia: That sounds really nice.

Alex: Oh, the people were nice there too! I was really miserable but they made me feel happy. Actually, it kind of made me upset before! I died to get peace, not to become happy! （＾ω＾） But it felt nice so… Maybe happiness was better than peace.

Olivia: Sounds like you’re describing a limbo, maybe pseudo-heaven? Usually other spirits describe their time in death as burning and pain. Or maybe it was a waiting place before heaven, hm…

Alex: It was like that for awhile! I think I was sent to the ring of… Nevermind, but somehow I ended up in that great place, so death wasn’t that bad for me! :3

Billy: Why did you come back to haunt the living then if it was so great? Also, the previous question hasn’t been answered.

Olivia yapping: Another thing, how would demons mutilate your spirit? When you die you just retain whatever last form you had before death. So how did a demon mutilate you if your body was hung? Wouldn’t your last form be yourself hanging? Unless you had your body mutilated THEN hung, but then that would imply you lived long enough to… What, that doesn’t make sense… What… I mean it’s also possible that you were tortured-

Ohhh, I see! You mentioned Splitathon and I know them as “the guy who drew wellchair art,” so I’m guessing the RP involves your different interpretations? since Wellchair wouldn’t work in this context.

In your interpretation, is Muko and David included in the college science group that Realex and Dave were in? Just curious.

Ooouh well the Dave interpretation is my wife @cl0wntwn's but sort of!

In this RP that me, cl0wntwn, @mapleflavedpepperoni, @splitathon, @pumpkinslinked, and @nnugatoryextravagance do, (yes I'm tagging all of you guys even if your characters aren't relevant to the convo bc i love yall and you deserve to be known as part of this fun little story we're all crafting, esp cl0wn and Maple for creating the story in the first place!) Dave in College was very close to Muko, not very much so to David or Realex. David was just kinda That Guy that coincidentally managed to copy Dave at every chance and it kinda pissed Dave off, and Realex was more of an acquaintance! He didn't know Realex well enough to particularly care much about him, but knew him enough to be interested in getting to know Fake Alex until the assumption that he's Realex. Eventually he finds out the truth and becomes interested in learning who Fake Alex is bc clearly Billy's happy with him and despite the Murder Past he wants to get to know the man his creation/son is in love with.

Unfortunate update: The family tree got bigger.

【Funfact】

I actually really like the idea of Alex being tan. I draw him with pink skin is because I think it’s funny, and it’s his actual skin colour in the game. But after talking with File and Orange, I now realise some people think he’s sunburnt, lol. So this AU I’m drawing is a wish fulfillment for me, since I can finally draw Alex as his true skin colour if he wasn’t unnaturally coloured (wooden puppet).

This pink skin also applies to Old Friend/Girlfriend but hers’ is a darker shade. It used to be more vibrant in older artwork actually.
