The Servant Of A Vampire Part 13
The Servant of a Vampire Part 13
I'm so excited for Part 16 y'all! I can't wait to make it cause then we're gonna go for nice and sweet.
You woke up gasping for air. Everything hurt and you were sure you were going to have a headache for three days. You groaned and sat up, or tried to.
"Careful." A soft voice said quietly.
You blinked and looked up to see Regis in front of you. He was smiling. You laughed with joy and tackled him. You wrapped your arms around him, smiling with joy.
"Regis!" You said with joy and relief.
Regis chuckled and patted you on the back. "Good to see you too. Good to see you too."
Someone cleared their throat behind Regis and you looked up to see a man. He had white hair pulled back into a ponytail and a duck chin with a moustache. He had his eyebrows raised and you got off Regis.
"Who is he?" You asked.
"Oh. Geralt. This is my good friend *Name*. *Name*, meet Geralt. He is a Witcher." Regis introduced and you held out your hand for him to shake.
"Nice to meet you." You said politely.
"Likewise." Geralt said, shaking your hand.
"So. What were you up to when Geralt and I were cowering in Tesham Mutna?" Regis asked with a smile.
You laughed quietly. "Oh gods... That'll be a very long story." You muttered under your breath.
"And I have a feeling this story isn't finished." Regis said with amusement.
"We have time." Geralt said and leaned against a wall.
"Well..." You said. "Okay. So when I found a vampire having my parents as lunch I ran away. I got into this forest and got knocked out."
And so you told them about your adventure. You told them about Aqie the drowner, about leaving the cave and stumbling upon a group of bandits, of having to go to Mere La-Chaiselongue Cemetery to get medicine for Nettle but then you got caught (Geralt chuckled at the rooftop running part) and then becoming Dettlaff's slave.
When you mentioned being his slave Regus had a proud smile while Geralt looked like he'd been slapped with a fish. You looked at Regis with a frown.
"You need help of some kind. Why are you looking proud?" You asked.
Regis shrugged. "No reason." He glanced at the setting sun. "You'll have to go back. Dettlaff will be worried."
You honestly forgot he existed. You sighed and got up then stretched. You gave Regis one last pat on the head then turned to Geralt.
"Treat him right. If you two ever get married, invite me."
Then you walked away.
When you got back to the palace Dettlaff ran to you.
"Where were you?" He growled.
"Went for a walk. Fell asleep." You shrugged, giving him the half lie.
Dettlaff sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Alright. Fine. Just. Wash up. Have breakfast then go visit Dominic. He misses you."
You curtsied and ran off to do his orders. You washed your face then went to the kitchen to eat the breakfast Dettlaff left out for you. It was delicious. It had the taste of Nazair and smelt like that recipe your mother tried once. What was it called? Cinnamon pancakes? You sighed and finished then stood. A wave of dizziness hit you and you swayed, grabbing the edge of the table.
"Rhen! Where were you? I was so worried."
"A group of bandits attacked me. They... They raped me Dettlaff!"
"Shh... Shh. I'll get you a bath and then I'll make you pancakes. Okay?"
"I'm so glad you only make your favourite Nazairi food for me."
"Only for you. For the pancakes symbolise love and friendship in Nazair."
"I love you. But I'm not hungry."
"But you-"
"I just want to be with you. Mon cheri."
You blinked and opened your eyes. Your head was pounding with another headache and you stumbled out of the kitchen and down the hall. You went to the playroom and smiled when you saw Dominic. He was scrubbing shoes once again. You walked up to him.
"Guess all work and no play?" You said in a light tone.
Dominic looked up and grinned. "*Name*!" He jumped up and gave you a hug.
You chuckled and rubbed his hair. "Hey little guy."
Dominic let go of you and grabbed your hand. He dragged you to his spot and chatted quickly and excitedly about his day.
"Dettlaff gave me pancakes today! And! He said he was gonna adopt me! And he was very worried about you! And! And! And!"
"Calm down." You said.
Dominic turned to you. "I want to adopt you as a mother." He announced.
You were shocked. "Adopt?"
He nodded.
"Me?"
Another nod. You sat down and huffed with shock. Wow. A kid wants to adopt you. You grinned. You always wanted a kid. You looked up at him and nodded.
"Sure."
Dominic hugged you tightly. "Yay!"
You smiled and hugged him back. Then he let go of you. Dominic then proceeded to tell you everything about his day and you listened with interest.

I so badly want to wear peasant dresses and noble dresses from like... Way back in the something century. It would be so interesting
The Servant of a Vampire SPECIAL CHAPTER 1
Eight years. That's how long you and Dettlaff have been dating. And now. Here you are. Standing in front of Delenfer Pass wearing a white dress with your hair up in a double-twist bun updo. You were holding a bouquet of lilies, daffodils and wildflowers and on your feet were white heeled slippers. You felt like a Queen.
People stood on either side of the path, holding candles. Your father beside you, you holding his elbow. A horn was heard and the people started singing. Their soft voices wafted to you as your father walked you down the carpeted path. Knights clicked their feet together and stood up straight. Some bowed. Others winked. When you passed the people they fell into step behind you. They followed you to the palace and sat down on wooden bench chairs.
The singing stopped, your father gave you to Dettlaff (After kissing you on the cheek) and you and your beloved turn to the priest. He looked at you with a smile and turned to the people of Toussaint. He raised his hands above his head.
"Dearly beloved!" His old, weathered voice rang out loud and clear. "Tonight is a special night! Tonight we are witnessing two beautiful things! One, we got a new Duchess and a new Duke! Two, we are witnessing a wedding!"
You looked at Dettlaff and smiled softly. He smiled back.
"Dettlaff Van der Eretein! Do you take *Name* to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked Dettlaff.
"I do." Dettlaff said without hesitation.
"And do you, *Full name*, take Dettlaff Van der Eretein to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asked you.
You nodded. "I do." You said, also without hesitation.
"You may now place the crowns on each other's head!"
The crown bearer, who was Dominic, ran forward. He held a pillow in his hands and on the pillow were two crowns. One was a circlet and it was black with red rubies. The other was a silver tiara with a black pearl. He stopped in front of you two and you took the black circlet and Dettlaff took the silver tiara.
He turned to you and you bowed your head. He put the tiara on your head and you put your head back up. You reached up and Dettlaff bowed his head. You put the circlet on his head and Dettlaff raised his head.
"You may now kiss!" The priest stepped backwards.
You kissed Dettlaff and the audience erupted in applause. You heard Regis cheer.
"That's my best friend and she's like a sister to me! Whoo!" You heard him scream.
"Talking about sisters I want a sister!" Dominic yelled over the applause.
You broke the kiss off to smile at Dominic. "We'll see." You said and laughed.
Dettlaff wrapped an arm around your waist. "We will Dom. Don't worry."
You blushed and swatted at Dettlaff's arm. "Dettlaff!"
He laughed and kissed you on the cheek. You looked up at him and smiled brightly. You were going to be with him forever...
The Servant of a Vampire Part 20
You and Dettlaff were spending more and more time with each other and you felt yourself falling for him more and more. You even noticed little things about him. Things like, for example, he twitches whenever he hears a random noise come out from nowhere or that, whenever he smiles, he's got this joyous twinkle in his eyes, making him look like a toddler in a candy store.
Once, when you carved him a small box to put stuff inside, he squealed happily and hugged you.
Another time, when you somehow managed to go on a trip for a while, you went to Nazair. When you came back you had a box full of Nazair roses, his favourite Nazair cologne and a brooch. The brooch was made of gold and it was carved like a lily. It reminded you of The Golden Lily of Ofier. You've been to Ofier, your cousin lives in Ofier. You gave him those items and you noticed that he has been wearing the brooch next to his moth brooch ever since.
One day Dettlaff came up to you, wringing his hands anxiously. You were reading a book when you heard him clear his throat. You raised an eyebrow and looked up.
"I... Um... I want you... To teach me to dance... Please." He added the word 'please' so quietly that it was a miracle you heard it.
You smiled and put the book down then stood up. "Of course. Let's go to the ballroom."
He gave you his arm and you two walked to the ballroom in silence. When you got there you let go of his arm and glided to the side.
"First a gentleman must ask for the dance then, if she says yes, give her your hand." You told him.
Dettlaff nodded and walked towards you with confidence. He bowed low, giving you his hand. "M'lady. It would be my honour to dance with you tonight. If you let me, of course." He said in a low voice.
You smiled and took his hand. "It would be my pleasure. Sir Dettlaff." You said in a posh voice.
He chuckled, straightened and led you to the dance floor. He bowed before you and you curtsied. Then he gripped your waist and you put your hand on his shoulder. He didn't want any teaching. He just wanted to dance with you with no music. You glided around the ballroom, not noticing the two vampires giving one maid some coin, then the maid walked off with a happy look on her face.
You two waltzed around the room, you wearing a smile and Dettlaff looking at you with adoration and love. You didn't notice the look though. You were too busy staring at him with a look of pure adoration and love on your face. Finally, the dance ended at 12am. Dettlaff walked back to your room and slept in your bed because of the nightmares. But you were certain he didn't want to feel alone. You snuggled up to him and fell asleep.
Short chapters will be coming up cause we're nearing the end of my marvellously shitty story! Then we have book 2, which is called Whisper of Death. So yeah. Bye!
The Servant of a Vampire Part 18
The next day Dettlaff was awake. He looked around to se where he was and was surprised to find himself back in his bedroom at the palace. He spotted you sitting in a chair fast asleep. He sat up slowly but his movement woke you up. You yawned, rubbed your eyes and smiled at him.
"You're awake." You said happily.
"I am." He looked down and was silent for a second. "Thanks..." He mumbled awkwardly.
You nodded. "No need to thank me but you're welcome."
An awkward silence fell across the two of you. Then he broke it.
"Why?" He whispered.
You frowned. "Sorry?"
"Why? Why did you try to run away? Why didn't you run away after I rescued you?"
You shrugged. "It's a kindness. Not all humans are shit." You swallowed. "I've a gift for you as well."
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Do tell."
You stood. "You okay with walking?" You asked him and he nodded.
"Why were you running away though?" He asked as he got out of bed.
"Well... A vampire told me you didn't want me around so-"
He growled, cutting you off. "What did she smell like?" He growled out.
You frowned, unsure of how her scent would help him. "I-"
"*Name*! Tell me!"
You sighed. "She... I think I remember smelling the scent of the sea." You said softly.
"Brenda." He said with so much bitterness that you had a feeling that Brenda would be in deep shit.
You didn't calm him down. Brenda deserves whatever punishment she gets. You walked out of the palace and to the Toussaint Prison, where Syanna hopefully was. You stopped in the middle of the prison and turned to Dettlaff.
"Wait here." You said and left.
You walked to a guard and he bowed. "Madame. What can I do for you?"
"Bring forth Sylvia Anna please." You said with a little bit of anger.
The guard nodded and left. He came back a little bit later with Syanna following him. The guard bowed.
"I'll take her from here. But thanks." You turned and left.
Syanna followed you. "What do you intend to do to me?"
"It's not me who's carrying out the punishment." You said in an expressionless tone.
Syanna scoffed but followed you quietly. When you got back to Dettlaff you stopped. Dettlaff froze and his mouth dropped open. Then anger overcame him and he clenched his teeth.
"Syanna. I've a question I must ask you." He said quietly and that sent chills down your spine. "Did you truly feign it all? That which bound us was a... Ruse?"
Syanna's face fell. "Dettlaff... It's not that simple. I-"
Dettlaff cut her off. "Oh. It's very simple. You either deceived me or not." He clenched his hand behind his back and stepped towards Syanna, wrapping an arm around her waist. "In forgiving you I grieve. For we now part."
He stabbed her in the chest with his claws and let her fall to the ground. The vampire cleaned his claws on his pants and glared at Syanna's dead body.
"Let's go. I want to get out of here." He said angrily.
You nodded and followed him out of the prison, not even looking at the corpse.
The Servant of a Vampire Part 21
The end of the year got strange. First you've got an invitation from a woman named Orianna to attend her End of The Year Party, then Dettlaff disappears and whenever Dominic sees you he giggles like crazy and runs off. You were honestly very confused.
You were in your and Dettlaff's room when a knock on your door was heard. You opened it and found a box on the ground. You picked it up and carried it to your bed then opened it. Inside was a beautiful red dress with yellow embroidery on the hems and edges of the long, loose sleeves. You gasped and took the dress out. You loved the dress! It was beautiful. You examined it carefully and saw that the collar was high and lilies were embroidered onto the dress in pink. You looked inside the box for a note or anything but you couldn't find anything. It was still beautiful. No matter what.
You put the dress aside and continued reading. Dettlaff seemed to be wanting to spoil you rotten. You didn't mind but there were a lot of gifts he gave you. Another knock on the door was heard and you opened the door to see another small box on the ground. This box was gold with a carving of yours and Dettlaff's name. You picked it up and walked into the room then opened the box. Inside was a red mask with silver swirls. What was going on?
One hour later and you were having dinner alone when a messenger came up to you with a message. You thanked him, gave him some coins and opened the letter. Inside was a hair clip in the shape of lilies. You smiled and hid the clips in your pocket then continued to eat your fruit salad.
Another messenger came to you with another letter. You gave him some coins and he left. You opened the letter and gasped in delight when you saw a poem. You read the poem.
My love I adore so much
My love I'm there for you
My love I adore so much
My love I love your *eye colour* eyes
My love I adore so much
My love I want to marry one day
My love I adore so much
My love I want to be yours
You smiled, blushed and put the poem into your pocket. (I can't write poems to save my life. But I did try with this one). Then you continued playing with the children who lived in the palace.
When it was time to get ready for The End of the Year Party maids rushed into the room. Two did your hair, two got you dressed and one did your makeup. When you were finally ready they let you look inside the mirror. You gasped. They did an outstanding job. Your hair was curled and tied into a braided bun (If you've got short hair then they curled your hair as best as they can and put the clips in), coloured your eyes with light pink powder and coloured your lips dark red. The clips that Dettlaff gave you were pinned all around your hair to make it look like you were wearing a crown and you were wearing the mask.
They pushed you out the door and waved goodbye. You walked out of the palace and a guard took you to a carriage. You climbed inside and the carriage took you to Orianna's estate. The door opened and Dettlaff was standing outside the carriage, giving you a hand. He was wearing a white shirt with a ruffled collar and a black jacket. On his face was a dark blue mask with white swirls.
"My lady." He said with a smile.
You took his hand. "Kind sir."
He chuckled and you two walked into the estate. The lady of the house was the first to greet you. Orianna had short red hair that curled at her ears and brown eyes. Tonight she was wearing a cobalt blue floor length dress.
"*Name*! I heard so much about you. Come. Come. Sit down. I have to learn more about the person who stole Dettlaff's heart." Orianna took your hand and led you to a table.
You sat down and Dettlaff took a seat next to you. Orianna poured the two of a glass of wine and poured herself a glass of Est Est. She sat down and lifted her cup, taking a sip.
"So, *Name*. Tell me about yourself. For you do not sound like you're from Toussaint." She said and swirled the wine around gently.
You smiled and pushed the cup away from you. "Well... My family is very scattered. My mum and dad lived in Skellige when I was born then they moved here when I turned 15, my cousins live in Kovir and my aunt and uncle live in Novigrad." You said and took a sip of your wine.
"Hm. They are indeed very scattered. Any siblings?"
(If you've any siblings: 'Yes. I do. They live in Oxenfurt. They're actually fighting for magical beings and their own rights.')
"Oh. No. Unfortunately. I would love a brother or sister to annoy me." You sighed and looked down at your own cup.
Orianna nodded. "And what do you do in your free time?"
"Well I can bake. I can cook some food. I love to read."
Orianna nodded. Dettlaff stood and so did you. The vampire bowed to Orianna.
"We must get going. We've a party to enjoy. Orianna." He left and you quickly followed him.
"Is something the matter?" You asked him.
Dettlaff sighed and shook his head. "No. At the moment nothing is wrong. For I am standing right next to the most beautiful person in the world."
You blushed and turned your head to the night sky. "How about we enjoy the party? And then we'll watch the fireworks?"
He nodded. "I'd love that."
You two enjoyed the party. The food was great, the entertainments were fantastic and the music was enjoyable. Finally, it was time for the New Year to start. You walked to the balustrade and looked up at the night sky, Dettlaff beside you. Then everybody started counting down.
"Three! Two! One! Happy New Year!"
The fireworks rose up high into the sky and exploded into dazzling displays of colour. Dettlaff grabbed your chin and turned your head to his. He looked you in the eyes then kissed you. You were shocked at first. Then you kissed him back. People cheered all around you and, when you broke off the kiss, someone shoved a glass of wine into your hand.
You had a feeling things would be great...
Emhyr:
"Emperor Emhyr Var Emreis!" A guard screamed.
"What? I'm incredibly busy..." He muttered and glared at the interrupter.
"A knight from Toussaint has come to visit you. He said that it's urgent."
Emhyr sighed. "Very well... Let him in."
The knight that walked into the room was none other than Damien De La Tour. He bowed low before the Emperor.
"Emperor Emhyr. I've an urgent matter to discuss." He said out loud.
Emhyr winced. "Speak."
"The Duchess of Toussaint is dead. Killed by an angry vampire."
Emhyr's face fell at the sad news. "Oh. Anything... Anything else?"
The knight nodded. "Yes Emperor. The vampire has taken over Toussaint. He has found a lover named *Name*. They're a commoner. They promised Princess Cirilla that their future child will take your throne when you die."
Emhyr stood up. "WHAT?!" He screamed in anger.
Damien nodded. "It is true. A half bloodsucker will take your throne."
"But... But they won't have any royal blood!"
"And the people will accept it. I've spoken to a farmer and his wife and they said it'd be weird but interesting."
"I will not let this happen! You," He pointed a finger at the knight. "Shall go to Toussaint and watch them. When the baby is born... Kill it."
