The Servant of a Vampire Part 17
We get to meet the bitch!
You dipped the rag in the bucket of water, squeezed some of the water out and washed away his blood. Luckily his wound was closing. You sighed and looked at him.
"Oh Dettlaff." You whispered and brushed some hair out of his eyes.
He grumbled in his sleep and shifted for a bit. He didn't even open his eyes. He has been doing this ever since you have taken him back to the palace. You sighed and touched his forehead to check his temperature. Suddenly the room spun out of sight and you plunged into darkness.
Flashes of images flashed through your head.
A midnight purple dress with a black veil
The sun setting
A *Favourite colour* silk carpet
A little toddler who had black hair with purple and *hair colour stripes*, blue eyes and pale skin
You and Dettlaff whispering three words to each other
Then you fell back into darkness once again.
"Rhen! Are you... Are you hurt?! If any of them touched you-"
"You know me. I would never let them hurt me."
"Now we only need to find Syanna. Where do you think we should start?"
"Ran into the lord of Dunn Tynne. He told me where to find Syanna."
"Well? Tell us and we'll be on our way."
"He told me where to find her. Right in this very tower. And incidentally it doesn't look anything like a prison cell."
"What are you trying to say Witcher?"
"Sorry Dettlaff. You've been had."
Silence for a couple of seconds. Then you heard someone hitting something. More silence and then the sound of something being dropped.
"You will come to Tesham Mutna and explain all. If you do not you will regret it. This I promise you! You have three days."
You got out of the visions with a raging headache. The grief that hit you hurt you even more than the normal grief that hit you. Syanna! Princess Sylvia Anna was the reason for this?! You're gonna have to find her. Now. Something brushed past you.
"Playroom." An unknown voice whispered in your ear.
You jumped and turned but nobody was there. You shook your head and got up, walking out of the room. After thirty minutes you found the royal playroom. You nodded once to yourself and looked around for the princess but she wasn't there. You sighed and picked up a journal and flipped through it. You chuckled at what Syanna called the governess and frowned when you got to the part of The Land of A Thousand Fables. You hummed and looked around. A crow was perched on the window sill looking at you.
"Now what are we doing here?" Regis's voice asked behind you.
You swore and turned around to see Regis standing behind you with a raised eyebrow and an amused smile. You sighed and punched him in the arm.
"Don't scare me like that!" You yelled and he laughed. "I'm here to look for Syanna."
He nodded. "I'm helping."
You rolled your eyes and looked around some more for the book the governess was talking about. You found it, cracked it open and flipped the pages.
"Regis. Hold my elbow." You said and he did.
You muttered the spell and the words lifted off the page and circled around you. It covered you and Regis and whisked you away into the book.
You looked around and sighed in relief when you saw Regis. He wasn't looking at you though. He was looking around him with a look of wonder and amazement. You looked around and gasped when you saw the place. This place was beautiful. Lush, green grass spread out as far as the eye could see, beautiful butterflies fluttered around and at your feet was a golden road that curved away from you. Tall trees towered above you and had leaves of every colour in them. You stepped forward.
"Wow..." You muttered.
Regis nodded. "Agreed." He looked at the road and elbowed you gently. "Let's see where this leads."
You nodded and stepped onto the path. You wished that you put on shoes but it was far too late for that. Regis and you walked down the road until you heard a commotion. You walked through a gate and got pulled backwards by Regis immediately. You heard him growl and looked at him only to see that his cheeks had stretched over his bones and his fangs had elongated. His eyes were narrow and he had long nails at his side.
You frowned and kept walking forward, Regis by your side. You saw a woman with black hair trying to open an oven but was being stopped by a witch. The Witch turned and frowned.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" She snapped.
Regis tensed up. "*Name*. Get to Syanna. Stay by her side and make sure she doesn't run."
You nodded and ran to Syanna. You saw the boots she was wearing and pointed at them.
"Gimme." You ordered.
She scoffed. "Excuse me?!"
"You heard me. Now gimme the shoes."
She groaned and took her boots off. She didn't deserve luxury. After all, she manipulated and hurt Dettlaff. And nobody should ever be manipulated. Nobody. You watched Regis fight the witch and illusions before he finally killed her and her broomstick. Syanna sauntered up to him and searched the witch for something before taking out a key and turning to the oven. When she opened the oven a kid fell out.
"Hello Jack." She said with a sinister tone.
You scowled and crossed your arms, watching her bully the kid for information. When she was done you glared at her.
"What?" Syanna asked.
"I'll tell you what bitch. You fucking manipulated," You took a step forward, fully intending to push her into the oven. "Dettlaff."
Regis grabbed you by the arm. "Calm." He said. "Please."
You rolled your eyes again and poked your tongue out but obeyed.
The Land of A Thousand Fables was an incredible place. Beautiful and lovely. But full of frickin pixies! You got your beans and Syanna got a pink ribbon, which you took and threw into the river. Regis didn't stop you but Syanna tried to. You punched her in the face. When you buried the beans and got out of the way you wondered how Dettlaff would react to seeing Syanna.
You scaled the beanstalk, Regis killed the giant, Syanna tried to hook up with you and Regis but you two declined 'nicely' and fell down a well. You all exited out of a waterfall and saw a group of vampires. You whistled loudly for their attention and they looked at you. You grabbed Syanna by the elbow tightly so she wouldn't escape and shoved her forward.
"Gift for Dettlaff." You said.
The sneered. "And why should we present your gift to him?" One asked.
"Trust me. He'd want this gift. Can you please put her in the dungeons?"
They all nodded and grabbed Syanna, taking her away. Syanna glared at you over her shoulder and you smiled. Regis tried not to laugh.

The Servant of a Vampire Part 16
Dettlaff:
Dettlaff had finally gotten his shoe back from Dominic and was now walking down the hall. He wanted to find you so he could get more ideas on how to rule Toussaint. He walked to your room and opened the door but you weren't in there. He frowned and wandered around the palace.
"*Name*?" He called but no answer. His heart skipped a beat. "*Name*?"
"Dettlaff. What's wrong?" A voice asked behind him.
Dettlaff turned around to see Brenda. He didn't really like her. Like. At all. He knew she liked him and would do anything to have him.
"Brenda. What did you do to *Name*?!" He growled.
Brenda rolled her eyes. "They're just a human being Dettlaff. Who cares about them? Sooner or later they'll die." She walked towards him. "But me. I live for a long time."
She put her hand on his chest and smiled at him. Dettlaff scowled and pushed her away from him.
"Knights!" He yelled and four knights ran into the kitchen. "Take her away. To the dungeons."
They nodded and tied a silver chain around her. Brenda hissed in pain and struggled against them but to no avail. She looked at Dettlaff.
"Dettlaff. Come on. Don't be ridiculous. You and I are meant to be together." She pleaded but he shook his head.
"No. We're not. Take her away!"
And the guards dragged her down the hall and away from Dettlaff. Dettlaff growled low and punched a hole in the wall. He will not let anybody hurt you! Not ever! He turned into mist and floated out the window and around Toussaint to find you.
You:
Your unknown attacker dragged you to their camp and threw you onto the ground. You landed on your wrist and winced. You looked up at the group of bandits and groaned. There seemed to be around fifty bandits all looking at you with a smile on their face. The leader walked up to you and grabbed your chin. He put his face really close to yours.
"What's your name?" He muttered.
"Why does everybody want to know my name?" You muttered.
The bandit scowled and let go of your chin. He turned to the men. "Okay lads! Let's have our fun with them!" He yelled and the bandits cheered.
Before they took a step closer a deep laughter rumbled around the camp. Everybody froze, including you. Then a crimson mist wafted into the area. It drifted around their feet.
"No. You won't be hurting her." A deep voice said and Dettlaff materialised from the mist. "Because they're mine."
He struck the leader in the chest with his claws and took out his heart. The bandits were shocked so he used that to his advantage. Dettlaff killed most of them but a brave bandit ran to him with a sword and stabbed him in the chest. Dettlaff winced and grabbed the sword, pulling it out. The wound steamed and Dettlaff sliced the bandits head off. He turned to you and stumbled forwards then fainted.
You shuffled backwards and looked at Dettlaff then at Delenfer Pass. You could escape. You could. The exit is right there. All it takes is for you to get up and go. But you couldn't. You stood up and walked to Dettlaff. You had no idea how to get him from here to Beauclair but you'd manage. You know it. You grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him down the path and back to Beauclair.
The Servant of a Vampire Part 10.
You groaned and opened your eyes. The sound of seagulls screeching met your ears and you flinched. Everything hurt. You sighed and stayed there. On the floor. In an alley. The cobbled floor was comforting and cool and it was practically begging for you to stay. But you couldn't. With a sigh you got up, slowly and carefully of course, and shuffled out of the alley with a hand on your side. The thugs must've bruised your ribs or something.
You limped down the streets and got out of Beauclair. You have a job to finish and nothing will stop you from finishing it.
Three hours later and you were walking back from the forest with a basket full of raspberries and blackberries. The smell of Beauclair assaulted your nose and you sneezed when you breathed in the heavy perfume. You must have some kind of allergy to the perfume because every time you walked into Beauclair you sneezed. You saw the vampire from earlier and she scowled at you. You returned the look and walked towards the palace with a limp. Your ribs were killing you and you needed to vomit.
You coughed, put the basket on a bench and turned to a bed of flowers before emptying your stomach of the water you drank from the forest. When you were finished you wiped your mouth before grabbing the basket and continuing to the palace.
When you got to the palace you sighed. "Where's the King?" You asked a nearby knight.
"Waiting for you. He hasn't slept at all last night." He said.
You sighed. "Helpful. Thanks." You muttered sarcastically then limped down the hall.
You'll have to wash up before trying to find Dettlaff. After all... You groaned in pain and entered the kitchen. The kitchen was empty so you put the basket down on a bench and put your hands on the edge of the maid's dining table. Tears brimmed at the corners of your eyes and you grabbed a nearby silver goblet. You clutched it and, with a scream of anger, you threw it at the wall. The goblet bounced off the wall and hit the marble floor.
You fell to your knees, ignoring the pain in your knees, and gripped your hair with both hands. Tears rolled down your eyes but you made no attempt to get rid of them.
It's so stupid! Unfair! (If you have siblings: It's unfair and stupid that your siblings would die all because you weren't being an obedient servant.) Thoughts of ending your life raced through your head and you squeezed your eyes closed.
"Shut up." You growled quietly. "Shut up. Shut up. Shut up!"
Dettlaff:
Dettlaff was worried for *Name*. They haven't come back to the palace and he was scared that something had happened to them. He paced the room again, biting on his nails. An image of their *Hair length* *Hair colour* hair flashed through his mind and he could smell the soap that was washed into it before they became his servant. He groaned and told himself that he was worried because the berries he had requested weren't here. And that they were late.
Suddenly he heard someone yelling in the kitchen so he left his room and headed to the kitchen to investigate. When he got to the kitchen his heart broke at the sight of *Name* crying on the floor, clutching their hair with their hands. Did he go too far? He shook his head and crossed his arms leaned against the wall and cleared his throat.
You:
You jumped and turned around. Dettlaff was leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed and a look on his face. You couldn't read his expression. You quickly wiped your eyes and stood up, curtseying clumsily.
"Your Majesty." You said.
"Where were you?" He asked.
You panicked. He can't know that a vampire lied to a gang of thugs and made them beat you up. You cleared your throat, straightened and looked down.
"I got lost." You lied smoothly.
Your mother has always told you that you were a good liar. And apparently Dettlaff has bought it since he sighed and nodded.
"Unacceptable but I'll allow this one to slide. Now go. You're free to do whatever you want." He said.
You nodded and ran out of the room. You kept your head lowered as you ran down the halls.
Dettlaff:
*Name* was lying. They had bruises and cuts on their face and their dress was torn. Dettlaff clenched his teeth and extended his claws a little bit. Whoever did this shall pay! No-one hurts *Name*! Nobody!
Literally nobody:
Not a single soul:

The Servant of a Vampire Part 12
Short chapter cause Regis is explaining. And I don't know what to put in here.
"I want a bloody explanation Regis!" Geralt snapped and sat down next to Regis.
Regis sighed but kept his eyes on you. (In this Fanfic I'm making y'all 23.) "25 years ago *Name*'s mother and father had their wedding. Little did they know was that two miracles would happen. So anyway, a jealous friend of *Mothers name* wanted to kill her because she took the man she liked. She tried to kill her but Dettlaff's mother saved her. After that they promised Dettlaff to *Name*. Ballads were composed weeks later about the potential Mate of a vampire." He explained.
Geralt stuttered for a bit. "But... They're human!"
"Not exactly. Since they're soulmates with Dettlaff they have now got the lifespan of a vampire. Their souls and hearts are bound together."
"Well... After what happened with Syanna Dettlaff would definitely not want her!" Geralt wasn't entirely sure about this. A human. And a vampire. Bonded for life?!
Regis smiled. "Heard of the stories where love came quickly?" He asked and Geralt nodded.
"Yeah. It's stupid." He grumbled and Regis chuckled.
"Oh Geralt... Geralt Geralt Geralt." He muttered and rubbed Geralt's leg. "Anyway. Since they're bonded love will come quickly."
Geralt blinked and grabbed Regis's hand. He muttered under his breath about soulmates and Mates and vampires and humans bonding together before shutting up and watching you sleep, not in a creepy way.
The Servant of a Vampire Part 15
Dettlaff... You couldn't get him out of your mind. You paced the room again and chewed on your nail. You couldn't stop thinking about his kindness. You groaned and clutched at your hair. Hopefully you'll stop thinking of him. Maybe it's nothing. You heard the footsteps of Dominic running down the hall laughing and squealing at the top of his lungs. What the...? You thought to yourself and poked your head out of your room. Dettlaff was chasing after Dominic, who was holding one of Dettlaff's shoes. You laughed quietly and shook your head before closing the door. Kids...
Suddenly you thought of something to repay Dettlaff! You could bake for him! With a smile you left the room and walked down the hall.
Brenda:
Brenda walked up to the group of bandits near Delenfer Pass and smiled.
"Greetings boys." She said.
The bandits cheered and raised bottles of alcohol. "Brenda!" They cheered.
"We missed you." One said.
"Aye. So. What are we doing today?" Another asked.
Brenda grinned. "Getting rid of the person stealing my Dettlaff. What do you say, boys?" She held up a money pouch but they waved the pouch away.
"We're your... What do the vampires call their friend group? Pack? Right. We're your pack Brenda. What you want we get you." The leader said.
"Aye!" The rest agreed.
Brenda smirked. "Brilliant... Here's the plan..."
You:
You dusted your hands off and wiped them on the apron. You looked at the cake in the pan with pride. You weren't that good with baking but you think you did well. You put the pan in the oven and turned around, taking off the apron.
You heard the swishing of fabric against legs and raised an eyebrow. Who wanted to talk to you? The vampire who lied to the thugs walked into the kitchen. You noticed she had black hair that tumbled over her shoulders in curls. She walked up to you.
"You have to leave." She said.
You tilted your head. "Why?"
"The King doesn't want you anymore. Leave. Leave Toussaint." She snarled.
For some reason that hurt. You lowered your head and nodded. "Of course. Bye."
She scowled and you exited the kitchen. You had no belongings so you left Beauclair with nothing but the clothes on your back. Your bare feet ached on the path but you ignored the pain and kept walking. When you got to Delenfer Pass you stopped.
"Ohh. Look at this boys. A lovely little bird is trying to leave Toussaint!" A mean voice said and someone grabbed you from behind, covering your mouth so you wouldn't scream. "Well tough luck bitch. You're not." They whispered in your ear and then they laughed.
Cliffhanger! And dramatics!
