"The Bone Yards"
On various planets exist mass graveyards of towering bones belonging to great cosmic dragons that forged stars with their breathes of fire. Their decayed flesh now fill these graveyards with a toxic miasma that mutates the land and animals around it. Very few of these majestic eldritch beasts sour through the voids of space in the modern age with sightings of them being seen as nothing but tall tails from starship pilots wary from space travel.
The final member of the squad and arguably the most powerful, an angelic and ruthless warrior bound by an unshakable code of honor wielding a war hammer into battle carried by large wings like a Valkyrie.
The chief medical officer of the squad who uses a combination of magic and science to patch up the other members of the group through the various battles they come across. Like the other members of the squad she does have special abelites however hers are magical in origin and not mutations like the rest due to being the bastard child of a godlike entity.
New to Tumblr
Hello everyone here on Tumblr, I just came here from DeviantArt wanting to expand my work to other websites. Most of my posts that I have uploaded so far are older works that belong to three stories I am world building in my spare time and other bits of art that I made. The only member of the squad who does not have any special abilities and must rely on his ingenuity and intelligence to fight his enemies, although he rarely see's combat as he serves as the groups engineer making sure their starship doesn't fall out of the sky. Even though he has no powers he Jerry rigged a pair of makeshift electric gauntlets in order to stand as an equal with his squad mates when brute force is necessary.
Phaora (Fae-or-a) is one of my favorite original characters outside of Barix who is an out of control pyromaniac who acts as the groups heavy hitting superpowered member with a bad attitude. Too bad that her temper makes her go off like a literal bomb.
Crossfire is mechanical sharpshooter for his squad of soldiers who acts also as their weapons and explosives expert. When off duty he is a talented graffiti artist designing the cold blue flames on his body himself.

The flame decals on him was an idea came up with when seeing an art professor of mine had sleeve tattoo's and I thought, "That'd be cool to see on a robot." and I went with blue flames as I feel they pop out more from his yellow armored plating than the standard orange and yellow flames did.
This is the latest and my personal favorite of my original character portraits. Trinity is an alien amphibian whose name is a reference to her three eyes however she can only see in her two main ones, the third however is the source of her telepathic powers and acts as the groups psychic. One of the main references for her design where salamanders and axolotls. Also her hair isn't really hair it is a dorsal frill that surrounds the head that mimics hair.
Miyako is my depiction of a dark elf, her name is japanese for night child as she was raised in Japan on earth. She serves as Commander Hayden Landos's second in command and is a formidable, cold and calculated assassin.
Commander Hayden Landos is Barix's commanding officer whose left arm is completely encrusted in diamond. Drawing humans or human looking characters have always been a challange for me but I believe this is a good attempt especially with the anime look I usually go with when drawing humans.
In some circles he is called Bardiel the indestructible as he is a brute whose tough hide protects him from harm. The design was mainly inspired by various dinosaur species such as corythosaurus and guanlong. Date beneath his name was the date of completion so expect future characters to have dates as well.
This is an bust of one of my first OC's that I had recently revamped and started a new way of coloring my pictures with it hopefully being a start to a signature style.
Some random creature sketches I came up with for helgan of earth. Been awhile since I've drawn anything and I'm hoping that this sketch gets me back into drawing again.

A very literal take on the rhinoceros beetle combining Hercules beetle and a black rhino. A fun drawing exercise I like to do is combine various animals together Avatar style to see what I get, some times I get something as cool and freaky as this and other times they come out not looking so great but its still something fun to occupy my time.

I was thinking recently about Steven Universe and how all the villains in the series where redeemed with no truly evil characters and thought hey why don't I create a villain who is unapologetically evil, one who is the complete antithesis of Steven, a warlord who delights in causing destruction and someone who's mind cannot be changed. I thought of her backstory as being a warlord who existed before Pink diamond and during a campaign her and her fleet was sucked up by a worm hole in space that spat her out on the other end of the galaxy where she spent the entire timeline of the show conquering planets on her way back to home world and when she eventually does come back she will immediately want to revert everything back to how it was before but with her being the only diamond in charge.
