Drabble: Kuroo X Reader
Drabble: Kuroo x reader
Prompt: “I’d like to think we are more than ‘just friends’”
Genre: Fluff
A/N: Drabbles are hard because I have to resist the urge to go overboard argh... also stan nerd Kuroo... also this kinda sucks

The patter of rain on the umbrella above the two of you caused for you to shrink further into him. Your laughter filled the air, erupting from your stomach because of his antics. It was his pickup line he had used on you that had led to you doubling over hysterically.
You always walked home with your friend Kuroo. Today, you had forgotten your umbrella, making you eager to reach your home. Kuroo offered to share his own; he insisted you could both fit. His pestering made you give in, so you let him lead you down the street.
“How many chemistry pickup lines is that? Twenty?” You laughed at him.
You loved poking fun at how much of a nerd he was.
“Not nearly enough, Chibi-chan,” Kuroo nudged you.
For a moment, you stumbled out from the shelter of the umbrella. A few drops of rain dampened your hair, before you slithered back into the warmth of Kuroo’s body.
“If you keep using them, I’ll start to think we’re more than just friends, Tetsuro,” you teased, giving him a slight push back.
Kuroo let out his hyena laugh, one that you originally thought was obnoxious but now love dearly. In fact, you had began to love everything about him a bit too much.
“I’d like to think we are more than ‘just friends’.” he struggled to make eye contact, but finally found your eyes. “After all, not just anyone can made my oxytocin levels rise so much when I’m around them. Especially no friend.”
“Oh...” you mumbled, ignoring the way your face had grown incredibly hot.
You didn’t know if Kuroo could tell that your heart rate had risen, but the thump of his own heart through his chest was clearly tripling as you shyly leaned back onto him.
A tiny smile of triumph slipped onto your lips. If there was one thing that was strong in whatever relationship the two of you had, was that you always provoked him back.
“Must be my dashing good looks and charisma that activates the love drug, hey?”
“Must be.”

Midoriya x Reader: Voice
Summary: Midoriya’s fight at the Sports Festival against Todoroki really scares you. You don’t know how to cope with seeing him in that type of pain, and he feels terrible for making you feel that way. Even though you thought you would be prepared for him to end up in hospital again, you couldn’t help but freak out when you get a call that he was in Hosu General Hospital.
Rating: SFW
Genre: Angst, fluff
Word Count: 5k
A/n: This one went a little out of proportion, but I had fun writing it!

The scene before you tore your worn-out heart even more. Over and over again your boyfriend continued to attempt to stop the incoming attacks of ice from your classmate. From your point of view in the stands, you could only see the ice shattering and the awkward movements of your boyfriend’s arms. You couldn’t see the constant expression of determination on his face. His arm was clearly broken, along with countless fingers.
You dug your neatly trimmed fingernails into your palms, holding back with the fear of drawing blood. The seat barely held you as you continued to slide further forward, attempting to get a better view.
“He’s still going,” Uraraka shook her head beside you, biting her nails. “I can’t believe it.”
A large breath was drawn into your lungs, unable to look away from the scene, “I do.”
You had known Izuku Midoriya ever since the start of junior high. Back then, he was so much more timid, shy and unconfident. It was hard for him to be any different, being born without a quirk and suffering from bullying and no encouragement from his peers or teachers. You had been one of the only people to ignore that he didn’t have a quirk and befriended him for the person he was.
Your quirk was very heroic, and that’s where you knew you would be in the future. Midoriya had supported you the whole time, wanting to be a hero at UA himself, despite what others thought. Even though you could never say it, you always thought he didn’t stand a chance. However, you knew better than anyone he was the most determined out of everyone you knew to become a hero, even Bakugo. You noticed him start to train, his physique changing and it intrigued you.
When middle school ended, you had prepared yourself to say goodbye to him. The two of you had exchanged them, showing genuine sadness about departing.
That was until you witnessed his incredibly powerful quirk during the entrance exam. You were right there next to Iida when he leapt into the air and punched the zero-point robot to protect Uraraka, even though he barely knew her. You couldn’t help but admire him for his selflessness. When he plummeted to the ground with both of his legs and one arm broken, the fear that overtook your body had you frozen. It made you unable to move or use your quirk that could have easily saved him. You left it up to Uraraka to save him, which you eternally thanked her for.
Curiosity caused you to confront him after he was healed. The last time you checked, he didn’t have a quirk, let alone powerful enough to take down a robot of that size in one punch. He hesitated to tell you anything, but mumbled out that he was a late bloomer. He also used the excuse that his body wasn’t fit for it, hence, the broken bones. Something in the back of your mind didn’t believe him, but for the most part you supported him still, just like you always promised you would.
It was easier said than done, because right now you wanted nothing more than to march down into the arena and tell him to stop.
All of this sickened you.
Even though you had fun in the other parts of the Sports Festival, they were taking it too far with the one on one fights. You didn’t make it to them, but you definitely didn’t mind after watching how no one was holding back. Uraraka next to you had an incredibly rough time fighting Bakugo, which was scary enough for you as it is.
But, with how much you cared for Midoriya, you were a hair away from a fully fledged panic attack. Your uneven breathing was enough of an indication. All you needed was to get light headed and-
“Y/N!” The bold voice of Iida called out to you, “Are you feeling alright? You’re looking a bit pale.”
You managed to rip your eyes away from the scene to meet your blue-haired friend. Iida towered above you and completely packed with muscle, but he was the gentlest giant you had ever met. One of his hands was pointed at you in the chopping motion he always did.
You nodded your head weakly, letting out a shaky breath, “Yeah, I’m fine. I think I might just be a little dehydrated.”
That was the only excuse you could think of, and thankfully, Iida bought it.
“You should be drinking water!” He exclaimed, “I’ll be back with a cup of cold water for you.”
“Thank you.”
Iida quickly sped off, you immediately turning back to the fight below.
“Are you sure you’re just dehydrated, Y/N?’’ Uraraka questioned, it you ignored her, “You could have a bit of a fever, maybe.”
You felt bad, but you didn’t reply. You released the pressure you had of your nails pressing into your palms. Looking down at them, you found crescent shaped indents. Small trickles of blood seeped from the corners of most of them. You caught your bottom lip between your teeth, wiping the fresh blood onto your pants of your sport uniform. The roughness of the fabric on the tender injuries stung, but you ignored it.
Down below, Midoriya and Todoroki had stopped fighting. They conversed, but they were too far away for you to hear what was being said. This caused a furrow to form between your eyebrows. You stood, leaning closer to the railing. You couldn’t focus on trying to hear what they were saying, but instead kept your eyes on the purple skin of his entire right arm and left fingers. You knew that two of his fingers had already broken after his fight with Shinso.
He certainly had broken them again.
You had also successfully kept track of which fingers he had broken and how many times. So far, he had broken ever single one of them, almost all of them twice, and a few of them three times. Including his thumbs.
The fact that he did this to himself just to be number one broke your heart. As impressive as it was and how much it filled you with admiration, you wanted to know if he realised how it scared others.
It was almost selfish in a way...
Not realising that his pain hurt other people also...
You knew that with the adrenaline pumping through his veins that he may not even realise the amount of pain he is in. That almost scared you just as much.
The sound of Midoriya’s familiar voice, calling out broke you out of your train of thought. He was too far away from you for you to be able to understand exactly what he said. Whatever it was, he was extremely passionate about. You pressed your lips together in anticipation, just for Todoroki’s left side to explode into raging flames. Unable to stop yourself, you ran to the railing of the stadium. Wrapping your fingers around the railing, you leaned as far as you could over the railing.
“Y/N!” Iida called out to you, approaching you from behind.
Once again, you ignored him.
“Get away from the railing! I have brought your water!”
You still didn’t look back; you wanted to call out to Midoriya. Your voice was too hoarse from its desert-like dryness.
They advanced again and Cementos sent a wave of liquid cement between them. It was about time someone stopped them. Midoriya and Todoroki both jumped at each other, Todoroki with his breathtaking flames swirling around him and Midoriya with his broken fist drawn back. Cementos solidified the cement between them, a wall with half a dozen lawyers.
Light blasted from Todoroki, causing you to shield your eyes. It quickly dissipated, the sound of cracking concrete echoed through the stadium. The walls exploded, sending wind in all directions. Your H/C hair blew past your face as the heat from the explosion blasted into your face.
“What’s happening?” Uraraka exclaimed.
The cement walls had completely shattered, and once the dust settled the winner was shown. Todoroki stood, surrounded by the smoke from his fire and his shirt half charred off.
That wasn’t what you wanted to see.
You only cared about Midoriya in that moment.
As the dust settled, you leaned even further over the railing. You were expecting to hear Iida scold you, but nothing came. He was just as tense about his friend as you were. Midoriya’s slumped over form was visible for you to see. Air expelled from your lungs to see him still up, but you looked down only to see his feet over the line. You bit your lip.
He lost.
You knew he would.
At least he was mostly okay, right?
You spoke too soon. The green-haired boy flopped to the side, falling to the hard ground. He was unconscious.
Your heart thumped in your head; you were mad. Mad that they didn’t stop the fight. Mad that he was so selfish to help Todoroki use his fire. Did he not care how you would feel having to watch him suffer like that?
Digging your fingernails back into your palms, you watched as a robots picked his limp, broken body up onto the stretcher and march him away. The stinging of your palms was the least of your problems as he disappeared from view. Opening your hands, you saw that blood was pooling in your palms. The cold air made the deep cuts sting. You sucked in a sharp breath through your teeth.
You pivoted on your heals, immediately dashing back into the halls. Iida’s and Uraraka’s calls were long left behind as you turned the corner. You ignored the stinging of your palms as you wiped the blood on the back of your pants again. Sprinting through the halls, you circled around the stadium until you reached a door labeled “Recovery Girl”.
Slamming the door open, you called out, “Izuku!”
The lovely voice of Recovery Girl shushed you, placing her small hands on your forearms, “Keep your voice down. I know you’re worried, but he’ll be okay. He’s in here, dearie.”
A prolonged sigh left you, before slowly regaining an even breathing pattern and heartbeat. Recover Girl pointed to one of the beds further into the room. She led you over to where he lay. Even though you had just calmed your racing heartbeat, it picked back up immediately after you saw the state he was in.
Both of his arms were in casts, firmly held against his chest that was bandaged up. He leaned on a large stack of pillows, one of his legs poking out of the sheets in a cast as well. Next to him was a blond man who was extremely skinny, almost skeletal, that you could only assume to be a family member. You had only met his mum, after all.
What broke you the most was the pained whimpers that left his mouth. Midoriya’s shining emerald eyes were squeezed shut and his teeth gritted. Now that the adrenaline was gone, all of the pain he was in was hitting him all at once.
You stumbled to the bedside, dropping to your knees. Placing a careful, hesitant hand on his shoulder, you rubbed soothing circles into his skin.
“Hey, Izuku,” you whispered. Midoriya pressed his lips together, the whimpers of pain dropped, and he released the tension between his eyebrows. At least your voice got through to him. “It’s me, Y/N. Can you talk to me? Open your eyes.”
You were relieved to see his eyelids flutter open, revealing the gorgeous green irises that you had knowingly fallen in love with. They were flooded with glistening tears, cued up to spill. His bottom lip continued to quiver, making you reach up and brush his curly green hair out of his face. A drop of red blood fell from your palm onto his forehead that you quickly wiped away with your thumb.
“Y-Y/N,” Midoriya mumbled with a stutter. The pain he was in even effected his speech.
Your poor baby.
“You’re gonna be okay,” you wished you could hold his hand, but they were both occupied in casts, “You really scared me.”
Midoriya closed his eyes, sending a fat tear rolling down his cheek, “I’m- I’m sorry.”
“Shh,” reaching out, you wiped the tear off his cheek, leaving a smudge of your blood where it was. You used your knuckle to remove the mark. “It’s okay.”
The tall, lanky blond man cleared his throat, taking your attention from Midoriya, “Excuse me, but are you injured, young lady? You’re dropping a lot of blood on Izuku.”
You withdrew a shaky breath, releasing your hold from Midoriya’s shoulder. A handprint in your blood stained his shoulder, causing you to look down at your hand. Your entire hand was covered in a layer of your crimson blood.
“Uhh, I-”
“Oh, my goodness, dearie!’’ Recovery Girl cut you off, grabbing your hands softly but with a lot of force, “What have you done to yourself? Here, come quickly! I’ll clean them then wrap them up for you.”
The old lady dragged you away from Midoriya’s bedside and over to the other side of the room. You took a glance over your shoulder to see him watching you with concern, wincing at the same time. Recovery Girl pulled your hands underneath a faucet and turned on the cold water. As soon as the water splashed away the blood and hit the wounds, it stung. It stung so bad that you hissed through your teeth.
“I know, it stings,” Recovery Girl sighed in sympathy, “It’ll be over soon.”
She turned off the tap once all the blood flooded down the drain, leaving the crescent shaped cuts. A piece of paper towel was dabbed over them. This made them sting again, but not as much.
Recovery Girl ran her soft fingertips over the four indents on each hand, “Hmm... Did you do this with your fingernails?”
You nodded lightly.
“Did the fight really stress you out that much?” She hummed, reaching over for the bandages. She started to wind some around one palm as you thought of how to answer.
“Yeah...” You sighed in defeat, watching her every move with the bandage. Occasionally, you flickered your eyes across the room to where Midoriya lay. His eyes were squeezed shut, desperately trying to fight the pain away.
Recovery Girl’s mouth quirked into a soft smile, “You’re the girlfriend, aren’t you?”
Red tinged your cheeks at her statement, taking another small glance at your little broccoli. As much as he worried you, got into all of this trouble, and jumped in headfirst into danger, you loved him and couldn’t help but care about him. You wouldn’t have said yes when he asked you out after the USJ incident if you weren’t prepared for him somehow ending up in the middle of everything. You also wouldn’t have said yes if you weren’t expecting to have to spend sleepless nights next to his hospital bed.
“Yeah...” was all you could say back. Recovery Girl chuckled, finishing the wrapping your palms by tucking the ends in on themselves.
“Thank you,” you mumbled to the short old woman in front of you as she released your hands.
“It’s no problem, dearie,” she shook her head and pet the back of your hand, “I understand you were scared for him, but just find another way to handle your stress than harming yourself.”
As soon as you hummed in reply, you dashed back to Midoriya’s bedside. You knelt back down beside him, reaching up to sooth his pained whimpers. With a thumb skimming over the freckles dusted on his cheek, you hushed him with your eyebrows tilted.
“Shhh, baby,” you hummed, “Just listen to my voice, okay? Ignore the pain. It’s okay... You helped Todoroki, didn’t you? Think about how you helped him. You did amazing. I’m sure All Might is proud of you, wherever he is.”
The stranger - to you - beside the bed exhaled deeply, “He is...”
Midoriya’s face relaxed again, from its contortion of pain. It returned to the soft features you loved so much. a wobbly smile graced his lips, sending one of your own to yours. His eyes peeled open, landing on the man on the other side of the bed. The two of them shared lingering eye contact, soft smiles exchanged between them.
This made you question who this really was beside your boyfriend’s bed.
Before you could speak up, Midoriya turned his head to look at you. The hand that rested on his cheek slid to caress and hold the back of his head. Your fingers were immediately engulfed into his green curly locks.
“Y/N,” he sighed, “I’m so sorry for freaking you out. You- you didn’t need to feel that way. I don’t deserve for you to get that... that worried over me. I never wanted you to hurt yourself just because-”
You cut him off with a quick peck to his lips. The shade of red he turned was so familiar that it made you chuckle. “Of course you deserve people worrying over you. You’re incredible, Izuku. Everyone was worried. Iida and Uraraka were pretty restless. Actually, Iida was probably one of the worst, running around trying to distract himself. He thought-”
“I’m sorry, you two,” Recovery Girl had scuttled over back to the bedside, “but you must leave so I can prepare him for surgery.”
The colour immediately dropped from your face and the rhythm you had of threading your fingers through his hair stopped. You could feel the rate of your heartbeat triple as it lodged itself in your throat.
“Surgery?” Your voice wobbled as you looked back to find Midoriya’s face slowly return to one that knew intense pain. You moved your hand to run your fingertips across his cheekbone in a desperate attempt to sooth him again. “Are his breaks really that bad?”
The panic evident in your voice didn’t help your attempt to calm Midoriya, only freaking him out more.
“Yes, surgery,” Recovery Girl stated, “I need to remove the bone fragments before they get stuck in his lints. Now, out. The both of you! He’s had enough attention.”
Before you had the chance to argue, she had pushed you both out of the door. The door was slammed in your faces. You expelled a deep breath from your lungs, turning to the left to find the stranger. However, he was gone. You sighed again, sinking to the ground against the wall opposite Recovery GIrl’s room. You were waiting for him, no matter how long it took. Even though you said you were prepared to stay with him whenever this happened, you really wished it never would. But, of course, it happened again.
This time, it was during your first internships. You had got an internship well away from Midoriya. He had told you he was going to be training with Gran Torino. You didn’t know who he was talking about, so, of course he gave you a massive history lesson on who this man was. He happened to be popular around the same time as Crimson Riot, making this guy really old. It was an understatement to say that you were concerned for him, but also that the internship would be a waste of time with him. However, it was too late and you trusted Midoriya’s enthusiasm about him.
You called him everyday, until he sent his location to the entire class.
You brushed it off as a mistake, ready to sleep in the safety of your hotel in Tokyo. In the back of your mind, you felt off. His location continued to echo in the back of your head.
Hosu City... Hosu City?
What was so special about Hosu City? Why did that name sound so important to you. Was there a festival you wanted to go to there?
Whatever it was, you shook off. Letting sleep take over you, you snuggled into your covers. Your internship had been incredible, but also extremely exhausting. Being in Tokyo was a dream come true, especially as a hero-in-training. With Tokyo being the capital and with a larger population, come rates were so much higher. This gave you a lot of extra work.
You were obnoxiously woken up at 1 am by your phone ringing. Stretching, you rolled over to snatch your phone from your beside table. You squinted, the bright background of you and Izuku momentarily blinding you.
The photo was definitely your favourite of the two of you. It was a selfie taken by you, showing off the ice cream he had bought you with a massive smile on your face. He, however, wasn’t looking at the camera and didn’t know you took the photo. His lips were delicately placed on your forehead, one of his hands brushing some hair behind your ear. It was incredibly cute, and made yourself feel incredibly luck to have him.
Your mood quickly changed to excitement when you saw the caller ID was your one and only. You quickly answered, placing the phone to your ear.
“Hello, Izuku,” you chimed happily.
“I’m sorry, this isn’t Izuku,” an unfamiliar make voice sounded, slightly muffled through he phone. Your smile dropped, an expression of worry making it to your face as you sat up in bed.
“This is Hosu General Hospital,” the man sounded very sympathetic, not helping the wave of nausea building up in your body.
“The hospital?’’ You repeated.
“Yes, the hospital. Izuku was been taken underneath our care after having a run in with a villain. You were the last person he had called so we called to tell you.”
Your heart dropped, “Which villain?”
“The Hero Killer, Stain.”
“Oh, okay. Thank you for telling me.”
“You’re welcome.”
Without adding a farewell or goodbye, you hung up the phone. Guilt shot through you like a bullet. The sending of his location was absolutely no accident. He must have been in trouble.
And you ignored it.
Now you felt terribly guilty.
Leaving no time to waste, you left out of bed and pulled on the closest jumper, changed your pants and slipped on some thongs. You sprinted out of the hotel, bringing your phone, wallet and apartment keys with you. Immediately ordering a cab and telling the driver to head to Hosu City’s General Hospital, you began scrolling through your countless photos of Izuku. There were some of him training, on dates with you, and some completely off guard. You caught yourself digging your fingernails into palms, stopping to look down at them.
Scars in the shape of crescent moons sat as a reminder of what happened the last time you got too stressed.
Instead, you began to take deep breaths.
When you arrived at the hospital, you almost forgot to pay the cab driver, you were in that much of a hurry. You sprinted into the hobby, luckily finding the reception desk available. Barreling into the desk, you ignored her greeting and spoke immediately.
“Izuku Midoriya.”
She told you were he was, receiving a thanks from over your shoulder as you speed walked to the elevator to where she instructed.
You reached the room she claimed Midoriya to be in and didn’t even knock. Barging in, you found for beds neatly lined up on the walls. A large window showing the night sky on the far side of the room. Overall, it was pretty barren, except for the silhouette of your green-haired broccoli.
He sat silently on his hospital bed, staring out the window. Frozen, he was restless. You could tell he was in shock or felt bad; he would have noticed the door opening if he was alright. The hospital gown hung loosely off his shoulders, displaying his scarred skin. Resting on the side of the bed beside him sat a crutch.
“Izuku?” You called out hesitantly, approaching him from behind. He didn’t look at you as you rounded the bed. “It’s me, sweetheart.”
Midoriya’s tearstained face turned to you, displaying his bloodshot eyes. Tears continued to roll down his freckled face. You bit your lips to stop yourself from letting a few tears well up too - you found crying extremely contagious. Even though you had seen him cry so many times in the past, this one killed you the most. It wasn’t hysterical like usual, it was the silent tears that left him stunned that clawed at your heart.
“Please, don’t cry,” you knelt down in front of him, being careful not to touch his wrapped up leg, “Does it hurt that much? Do you need some pain killers?”
Silently, you reached up and cupped his face, skimming your thumbs over the tear tracks to wipe them away. Izuku’s eyes still failed to look away from the window, let alone into your eyes. Without saying anything, he simply shook his head.
“Then, what is it?” You sighed, your hands leaving his face to rest in his hands.
How could you help if he couldn’t find his voice to tell you?
An idea popped into your head. You recalled during the sports festival when he was in such intense pain, but your voice snapped him out of it. So, you placed your head on his knee - on his uninjured leg, of course. Taking a deep breath, you opened your mouth.
You began singing a soft tune, a song you knew Midoriya loved having listened to it studying with him before. Your fingers danced over his scarred skin while you recited the lyrics perfectly. Midoriya’s hands turned over, taking hold of yours that now sat in his. You stared at the floor, watching his shadow move as he tilted his head down to look at you. A small sniffle could be heard from your boyfriend as you reached the instrumental part of the song, humming the melody as best as you could.
Finishing off the song, you turned our head up to look at him. His face no longer frozen in shock, a tiny soft smile squished against his tear-streaked cheeks. The tears in his eyes were blinked away as he watched the twinkle in your eyes as you finished singing.
“Is that better?” You matched his smile, giving his hands a soft squeeze.
Midoriya replied, “Yeah...”
His strong arms hauled you to your feet, urging you to take a seat next to him on the hospital bed. As soon as you sat down, his arms wrapped around you, burying his face into the crook of your neck.
“I was just scared...” he whispered into your neck.
You brought a hand up to lace into his green curls, “Of course you were. You had an encounter with Stain. Don’t feel bad for being scared about that.”
“No...” he shook his head, bringing it off your shoulder to look into your eyes, “It’s not that. I was scared... I was scared when they told me that they called you... I remembered when - at the sports festival - you got really stressed because of me and hurt yourself. I somehow always end up in these situations and I get scared that I’m hurting you when I do...”
Biting your lip, you grabbed his face firmly, it drifting away from looking at you directly. There was no need to lie about anything as you formulated how you would answer without making him even more upset.
“Of course it hurts me when you get into these situations-” he furrowed his eyebrows it you ignored his worried features “-but that’s only because I love you. I care about you so much that when I got the call I immediately came here, didn’t I? No matter how tired I was, I was prepared to leave Tokyo and travel all the way here because I couldn’t stand the thought of you bedridden again. Luckily this time doesn’t seem to be the worst, but don’t think I’m not prepared to do this again for you. I mean, you’ve ended up in the infirmary or hospital five times this year - not including the entrance exam - and we haven’t even finished first semester!
“Baby, don’t get yourself worried about me... I know it’s because you care for me but... I’m pretty sure you are the priority, right now.”
Midoriya exhaled through his nose and nodded his head slowly, “I know, but I can’t help but think you worry about me too much and you’ll end up with anxiety or something...”
“Now you’re just trying to argue,” you chuckled, leaning forward to place a kiss on his nose. The gesture turned his face a faint shade of red. “I don’t know how you always end up at the centre of everything, but how you handle it makes me so proud and only admire you more.”
Your boyfriend chuckled slightly, turning a darker hue of red at the compliment. He rubbed the back of his neck, “Okay... maybe I was being a little bit of an overreacter.”
All you could do was smile at him for a moment, basking in the soft stare of his emerald gaze. The lingering eye contact and thoughts that echoed from your conversation made you realise just how much you loved him. The fact that he made himself cry over accidentally hurting you because of something like this made your heart swell.
The intense eye contact you two were sharing was cut short when Midoriya’s eyes squeezed shut suddenly. A tiny, squeaky yawn left his opened mouth. The sound caused your heart to swell just a little further.
“You must be so tired,” you stated, “Do you need help getting into bed?”
“Wait, I’m not tired!” Midoriya protested, rubbing his eyes, “See?”
You chuckled at him, “Izuku, baby, you need sleep.”
“But I want to tell you about the fight! And how amazing Iida and Todoroki were! Endeavor came and beat Stain and-”
Holding out a hand to stop him, you smiled, “Slow down! You definitely don’t seem that tired...”
After getting the approval, Midoriya gave you an intense run down of the battle against Stain from start to finish. How he stumbled across Iida trying to save a hero but ended up getting paralysed by Stain’s quirk. He explained how he sent his location out and Todoroki showed up in the nick of time. He rambled on about how he was so proud of Todoroki for using his flames and how he couldn’t wait to write more notes on both him and Iida. He also told you that both Iida and Todoroki were out having surgery and getting stitches when you got worried about them.
His rambling went on for over half an hour, until his spark ran out and he practically passed out on you, freckled cheek squished against your shoulder.
Being extremely careful, you managed to lay him down on his pillow. With the upmost of care, you use your feather-like touch to swing his legs onto the bed. Tucking him in, you watched as he entered deep sleep.
Sitting in the chair beside his bed, you slowly began to drift off to sleep also. You were so happy that your voice was able to get through to him in times like these.

Levi x Reader: “What If’s” And “But’s”
Summary: You had arrived early from a journey outside the walls to your boyfriend. Instead of returning after bringing the report back to Erwin, you stayed with Levi for a lovely day out together. However, your day of tea and soft touches began to stress you out.
Rating: SFW
Genre: Fluff, fluff, more fluff
Word Count: 1k
A/N: I wrote this a while ago... and as you can tell comfort fluff/angst is a major theme of this blog

The silkiness of the sheets over your body kept the hard found warmth in. Laying on your side, you rested your hand on the pillow by your head that sunk into the cushioned surface. Your knotty hair was loosely pulled back into a fishtail braid, the loose strands falling helplessly around your tired eyes. A warm body was flushed against your back; a strong arm lazily draped across your middle. Your other hand held his, soft fingers grazing gently over his calloused knuckles.
The lit candle on the bedside provided too much light causing slight discomfort, so you wiggled under the strength of the arm. You rolled over to face Levi’s tired steel eyes. His raven hair, usually in a centre part, was in a mess. However, it still seemed to frame his handsome face perfectly. His strong arm still stayed wrapped around your torso as you brought your hand slowly to rest on his injured leg.
He winced slightly at contact and groaned out, “What are you doing, brat?”
Feeling guilty, you relieved a bit of pressure on his leg and began to run your fingers up and down the sore muscles.
“Sorry,” you whispered, “Does it really hurt that much still? Maybe I should look at it again.”
“I’m fine,” Levi groaned, digging his face into the crevice of your neck.
You let a soft smile take over your face at his soft side he only shows to you. His bored words translated to kindness.
Pressing a soft kiss to his hairline, you mumbled into his hair; “I know you may think so, but I’ll do anything to make sure you’re okay, Levi.”
Levi slowly shut his gunmetal orbs, pulling you closer to him. His breath down your chest tickled as you slowly closed your tired e/c eyes. As soon as you let darkness flood your vision, you wrapped an arm around the sleepy figure in front of you. Levi was always so tired. You had never shared a bed with him, this being the first time. This felt like the best way to finish off the day you spent just with each other. A smile tugged at your lips when the promise ring around your finger came to mind.
However, a not so happy thought intruded. You couldn’t help but shake the feeling that something horrible was happening out in Wall Rose. Abandoning the others just to come back to Levi felt so selfish now that you were under the comfort of a roof and snuggled in a warm double bed. Someone had to deliver Hange’s message, right?
But what if Sasha, Connie and Jean had gotten into trouble?
What if Eren couldn’t turn into a titan when they needed him the most?
What if something happened to Hange and Commander Erwin?
A million “what if”s filled your head, making your heart pound increasingly fast. You couldn’t take the weight of these horrible thoughts as you shot up in the bed and stared at the wall blankly.
Shifting beside you turned your attention to Levi rolling over. He flung his forearm over to rest on his closed eyelids. You sighed in relief at the thought of not waking him, even with the sharpness of your movements. He must be so tired, You thought to yourself with a small smile.
“What’s wrong, Y/N?” Levi grumbled quietly.
Your eyes shot open further. You were wrong. You had woken him.
“Uh, nothing.” You shifted to lean against the bed board. “I just thought I was taking up too much blanket.”
To this, Levi removed his arm from his eyes and opened the beautiful spheres. He side-eyed you, making you avert your gaze. Pushing himself up, he tried his hardest to not hurt his injured leg. You couldn’t help but notice his awkward movements. To give yourself something to draw your attention away from him, you brought your knees up to rest your chin on them in attempt to create a ball of warmth. Once Levi was leaning against the bed board also, he gently took your chin in his thumb and index finger to face you towards him.
“Cut the crap, princess,” his voice still held the same amount of sass and monotone as ever, “The blanket is mainly on my half. There is something on your mind and don’t try to lie to me.”
You quickly flickered your eyes over every bit of his stern but soft face. Easily swayed, you let your legs slide down the mattress and your head hit the bed board.
“Okay, fine. I was just having a bit of a moment worrying over every possible bad thing that could happen to the others. I regret leaving them. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed our little day together so much but what if they needed me? What if I should have returned just so they know nothing happened to me? What if they’re worried about me right now?”
You ended up throwing your arms around in exclamation as our breathing picked up once again. Sensing you were about to have another round of questions spilling from your mouth in seconds, Levi immediately caught your wrists and brought them down.
He slipped his calloused hands in your own and hushed you, “Stop with the “what if”s. You’re just freaking yourself out. Nothing is wrong, okay? Brat, you are just being stupid.”
You shook you head urgently, “But-”
“No “but”s either,” Levi cut you off, “You need to think of something else and just go to sleep. I’m not letting you back out there without me. If anything is happening, at least it’s not happening to you. Go back to sleep.”
You nodded, Levi sliding down the bed and dragging you down with him. Avoiding his injury, you carefully lay across his chest. Head tucked into the crevice of his neck, you let the soothing rhythm of his heartbeat lull you back to back to sleep. Levi’s arms held you securely as he drew small circles into your exposed skin. With a kiss to your forehead, he finally fell asleep too.
Drabble: Shinso x Reader
Prompt: “Don’t be silly. I want to stay up with you.”
Genre: Fluff, teeny tiny bit of angst if that’s what you’re into
A/N: Kind of self-indulgent, oops... Also feel free to request, my ask box is as dry as a desert rn, please help a small writer out! <3

Shifting beside you in the bed awoke you from your slumber. Your eyes cracked open, met by the faint glow of a phone screen. Frowning, you rolled onto your side towards the irritating light. Struggling to focus and adjust to the lighting, you rubbed your eyes. Your movements caused him to turn away from his screen.
Shinso turned his phone away from you, pursing his lips together. You grumbled incoherently, lazily reaching out to grab hold of your boyfriend out of habit. Your hand landed on his lap, but you searched around until you held Shinso’s wrist and could rub circles into it.
“Did I wake you, kitten?” He asked, placing a hand on your head to rub it softly. “Sorry... I’m okay, so you can go back to sleep.”
You let out another odd sleepy noise, which Shinso could only let out a low chuckle at. Stretching, you struggled to sit up and rest against the headboard, Once you were finally in position, you rubbed your eyes once more.
“Don’t be silly,” you set your head down on his shoulder, attempting to rest your eyes, “I want to stay up with you.”
Shinso shook his head, “No, kitty, you are clearly way too tired. I’ll make myself tired and join you soon.”
Half of him knew he couldn’t get away with that. He knew you would be able to tell if he had lied when you woke up the next morning by the dark circles under his eyes. You spend enough time studying his face that you could pick up on the slightest detail.
“No, Toshi,” you whined sleepily, “Your phone is definitely not the best way to do that. If there is something bothering you, I’m here to listen.”
Shinso turned off his phone and placed it on his bedside table, emitting defeat - to an extent. He placed a finger to your lips, his other fingers fiddling with yours.
“There is nothing to listen to,” he hushed you, “Now, go back to sleep.”
You grumbled in protest, ignoring the fact that your eyes had been shut the entire time. At this point, Shinso couldn’t even tell if you were just talking in your sleep.
“No...” You whined, slipping down the bed until you were lying flat. Resting your head on his lap, you huffed.
Your boyfriend laughed at you, causing you to frown slightly and pout.
“What do you suggest I do, then?” Shinso whispered, his long fingers gliding over the soft skin of your face, tracing your features delicately.
You snatched his hand away, lowering it onto the top of your head.
“Play with my hair,” you mumbled and slurred your words, “You always get sleepy when you do that any other time.”
“Sleepy, hey?” Shinso chuckled at your choice of words, expecting you to reply with, “Yeah... sleepy.”
However, you didn’t reply. Your heavy breathing made it clear that you were fast asleep. Shinso was slightly impressed you lasted that long. You would usually fall asleep as soon as he told you, but this time you put up more of a fight.
He began to thread his fingers slowly through your hair as you slept. Even after talking to you for a few moments, Shinso already felt more tired. It was clear to him that you cared for his sleep schedule, and he made a mental note to apologise to you for his incompetence in the morning.
Bakugo x Reader: Confession
Summary: After Bakugo’s mental breakdown with Midoriya outside the dorms, you take it upon yourself to get him to open up. Of course it isn’t easy, but you two had known each other for years. Bakugo realises how he really feels and claims you as his own.
Rating: SFW
Genre: Fluff, angst, lime
Word Count: 4.7k
A/n: I love comfort fluff and tending to wound tropes... and I also used the headcanon that Bakugo needs hearing aids, so that is included in this fic. I’m also sorry about the slow updates... I’ll have some headcanons out for haikyuu in the new future so stay tuned!

The crisp night air flooded through the open windows as you held a warm drink in your chilly hands. A fluffy blank landed on your shoulders as Mina deposited them off to everyone. You shifted yourself to meet Mina’s extraordinary eyes, nodding in thanks. Mina returned with a cheery smile of her own.
All the girls of 1A populated the couches, basking in the much needed warmth. A few boys sat amongst you, such as Kaminari, Kirishima, Ojiro, and Sero. Mineta desperately cried for help, wrapped in a cocoon of Sero’s tape after a perverted comment directed at Momo. Todoroki did as he always did, awkwardly standing slightly adjacent to the lively group, a keen but kind eye flickering between classmates as they contributed to the conversation.
“Everyone!” Iida marched up to your group, “Leaving the windows open in this weather is incredibly irresponsible! You will all get a cold!” His rapidly chopping hands paused momentarily to hurriedly pull all the windows shut.
“Thanks, emergency exit!” Kirishima waved at the class representative. A satisfied expression washed over Iida’s face.
You rolled your eyes, slightly smiling at them, before taking a prolonged sip of your warm beverage. Without spilling it, you pulled your legs up on the couch to cross them.
The class was happily celebrating a successful hero licensing exam. All but Bakugo and Todoroki. Hagakure and Momo had insisted they could join you too. It didn’t surprise you that Todoroki showed up but Bakugo didn’t, for one of them took it a lot worse than the other.
Bakugo was your childhood friend, knowing him since forever. There wasn’t a time you didn’t know each other, but not quite outdating him knowing Midoriya. You never really announced yourselves as “friends”, per se. It more so happened by consistently interacting, never really introducing yourselves. One of those friendships that “just happened”, neither of you remembering when you really met each other. Turns out, your mothers had been friends for years prior.
As you two grew older, and Bakugo became more and more like... himself, you did not condemn for anything he would say to Midoriya, being quirkless. Luckily, you happened to manifest a fairly powerful quirk, so he never judged you for it. He could never find himself to explode at you whenever you told him to back off. He may yell, but it never went further than petty insults. Of course, Mitsuki would have been appalled with him if he did. She definitely had a soft spot for you.
Once starting at UA, Bakugo’s ego slowly but surely began to deflate. He began to obtain standards, something that surprised you plenty. You noticed how he acted around Kirishima. That was when you realised the difference between how he treated all his peers. He seemed to rank them - most worthy of his friendship and time to least. Upon witnessing Kirishima - someone pretty high in those “ranks” - interact with him, you noticed the outside perspective. How nice he was to you and Kirishima, compared to people like Midoriya.
Eventually, you grew an odd feeling in your chest whenever he showed up to class. Top buttons undone and without a tie. Or when you caught a glimpse of his ember swirling eyes. Not to mention during training, rocking up in that hero costume of his.
You even began to play a little game. Testing him to see how long you could pester, order, or genuinely annoy him before he literally exploded at you. More and more of late, that time stretched. Unfortunately, your little experiment didn’t go unnoticed. All the girls of 1A knew, questioning you about it. You passed it off as something you thought would be funny. Only Mina saw right through you. She knew you liked him and constantly teased you about it to no end. Midoriya and Kirishima were the only others to notice you pushing his buttons more than usual lately.
Uraraka’s voice broke through your elaborate train of thought, “Y/N...”
“Yeah?” You answered.
“Do you have any idea where Deku is?” Her voice trembled slightly, her cheeks going slightly pinker as she rubbed the back of her neck. She couldn’t be more obvious about her crush on Midoriya, so you had nothing to worry about. “He hasn’t come back since Bakugo said he wanted to talk to him. I’m kind of worried about him.”
A huff left your lips, “In all honesty, I am too. There’s no telling what Bakugo wanted to talk to him about.”
“He might be seeking girl advice,” Mina chimed in, sending a sly wink in your direction.
You immediately took a long sip of your drink, hoping the cup hid your slight blush as you furrowed your eyebrows at Mina.
“I highly doubt it,” Tsuyu placed a finger to her chin in thought, “I’m not sure that Bakugo would need that kind of advice. Especially not from Midoriya.” Your gaze fell.
“He probably wants to kill him,” Jirou shrugged her shoulders, taking a sip from her own drink.
Jirou’s comment silenced the group of 1A girls. Only condescending sipping of drinks and the guys chattering filled your ears. Your attention left your drink to the sound of shuffling feet approaching. Bright yellow eyes met yours when the source of the shuffling feet sat beside you.
“Ladies,” Kaminari’s smooth voice wooed as he rested his arms on the back of the couch, “What’re you guys talking about?”
Dyed red hair, held up by a graphic bandana, flashed your peripheral vision as Kirishima took a seat next to you. He pouted slightly when you flashed him an almost sarcastic smile. The pout couldn’t mask that he could see right through you. Worry for Bakugo plagued your mind. There was no doubt Midoriya had improved his ability to use his quirk. If Bakugo had indeed wanted to fight him, he definitely underestimated him.
“I’m sure he’s just in bed, Y/N,” Kirishima placed a hand on your shoulder, “It is way past eight-thirty.”
You stifled a small giggle, nodding at Kirishima’s words and mentally thanked him for his optimistic nature. You continued to sip your drink in silence, occasionally tuning in to Mina and Kaminari’s chaotic conversation. Overall, you felt the homeliness of this family created through 1A. A homeliness soon to be destroyed.
A loud bang caused everyone to close their mouths, the worst case scenario filled your head. Luckily, when you followed it to its source, it came to a slammed door. An easy answer came to your mind; the wind. However, standing before the door stood Bakugo and Midoriya. Both definitely looking a bit rough around the edges. A gauze on each cheek, they looked defeated. They refused to reach each other’s eyes, or any other pair staring them.
You cautiously planted your cup on the coaster before you, as if you were afraid of agitating Bakugo, easily spotting the anger and emotion in his ruby eyes.
“Bakugo and Midoriya!” Iida rushed over to them in a flash, his arms chopping up and down in anger, “Where on earth have you been? Why do you look like you just got into another brawl with some villains?”
“Shut the hell up, four-eyes,” Bakugo snapped, grumbling to himself. He stuffed his hands into his pockets, before storming past the couches.
Before anyone could stop you, you leapt to your feet. Your drink left behind, you rushed after Bakugo. The blanket around your shoulders flowed behind you like a cape, you called out to the angry blond, “Bakugo!”
Bakugo ignored you, continuing up the stairs. Hurriedly, you sped up the stairs and overtook him.
Your body blocked his, “Bakugo, what the hell happened?”
His head continued to hang low, his blond hair falling to obscure his eyes from view as you desperately tried to meet them. Scratches, grazes and cuts littered his face and arms, some covered up with gauze. The two gauzes on his cheeks mirrored each other, lightly stained in blood. Dust and dirt smudged up his arms; his wounds weren’t properly cleaned. His hands stuffed in his baggy sweatpants shook slightly, from both physical and emotional pain.
“Shut up, Y/N,” Bakugo’s wavering voice protested, failing at any attempted aggression, “I don’t need to tell you shit.”
You heaved in a shaky breath, “True, but I want to know. I might be able to help you.”
“You can’t help me,” his voice raised, causing you to step back. You really wished you could see his eyes, to see what kind of pain he was in.
“You won’t know that until you tell me what’s wrong,” you sighed, trying your best to stay calm and not snap back.
“Get out of my way...”
Bakugo harshly barged his shoulder into yours, causing you to stumble to the side slightly. You stepped after him as he continued to his dorm, the most likely place you imagined he would storm off to. You caught up again, flinging an arm out in front of him. His warm, sweaty hand latched onto your forearm. Your heart skipped a beat, relishing the ironically soft touch.
However, the softness of his touch contradicted his tone, “Y/N, move... right now...”
“Bakugo!” You cried, not afraid of the slightly startled boy before you.
You didn’t budge or flinch as you laced your fingers between the ones he gripped onto your forearm with. With a soft touch, you lifted his chin upwards to get a perfect view of his face.
His cut up face held the softest expression you had ever seen. No crease sat between his eyebrows, grazes over his forehead. The gauzes taped to his cheeks hid the worst of his face injuries, letting a small amount of blood to seep through it. His eyes glistened with tears, about to be spilt. They stung red, from previous tears.
Katsuki Bakugo stood before you, with tears in his eyes.
The Katsuki Bakugo.
“You can tell me, you know,” You hushed, once his bloodshot eyes met your sympathetic ones, “I’ve always been there for you, like when you got your hearing aids.”
One hand still holding his, you let the other one slip up to expose the small black device in his left ear. It wrapped around the back, resting behind his ear. A soft sympathetic smile graced your features, as Bakugo squeezed his eyes shut. He entered a vulnerable state, allowing you to wrap an arm around his lower neck and pull him into a hug.
“Please...” You whispered, “It’s better if you let it all out.”
Bakugo awkwardly stepped out of the hug, slipping his hand out of your grip. His eyebrows creased again, squinting his eyes to hold back any tears. He shoved his hands into his pockets, and refused to meet your eyes again.
“I’m just fucking pissed!” He raised his voice again, “I’m pissed at myself. At damn Deku! How did he become someone so damn special? And I didn’t!? When I finally get fucking recognised for something... it’s because I ended All Might! Why me?”
Your breath hitched. All of Bakugo’s pain unloaded onto you. All Might’s end happened a small while ago. He held this guilt in for that long? No wonder he was angry. In a way, you felt privileged and relieved Bakugo opened up to you. You always tried to be there for him. You wished you could have been there earlier, to stop him ever feeling like this in the first place.
“Bakugo...” You hushed his uneven breathing. It almost sounded like he was about to have a panic attack, “You couldn’t have prevented it. No one knew that it was going to happen. The last person who should be blaming themselves is you.”
“I could have done something! All I did was stand and watch. I left as soon as I saw you call out to me. Damn it!”
“Look at me, Bakugo,” digging into his pockets, you removed his hands from them and held them in your own, “If you didn’t leave when I called you, not only All Might would have ended. You would have too. And I don’t know what I would ever do if you did.”
A sharp inhale came from Bakugo’s parted lips, before he trailed off, “Da-damn it...”
“I care about you, Baku,” you let your thumbs run small uncoordinated circles on the back of his warm veiny hands. You couldn’t force yourself to look into his eyes, afraid of how he would respond. “I care more than you can ever imagine.”
“I- I-, fuck...” He couldn’t form sentences, let alone words. You, of course, couldn’t blame him. Not only because of his current emotional state, but you knew it would take a little bit more to get something so sincere out of Bakugo.
“It’s okay,” you finally met his red eyes, trying to mask the glossiness of your own, “It’s okay if you don’t return my feelings... I won’t take it too harshly.”
A small cocky grin slid its way onto Bakugo’s disheartened features, “Who said I didn’t, baka.”
Little giggles left your mouth as you wrapped your arms around his neck. A newfound sense of confidence filled you. Not only did you let the burden of your confession lift off your chest, but he reciprocated the feelings. You couldn’t wait to tell Mina all about it.
“Now...” All sadness and sorrow had drained from Bakugo, a sudden huskiness melted off his words, “Let me claim you as mine.”
“Wait, wha-” Without warning, Bakugo cut you off by pushing you forward towards the elevator at the end of the corridor. A small laugh left you again upon witnessing the determination - no matter what it was for - return to Bakugo. The Katsuki Bakugo you knew and loved was back.
Without letting go of your wrist, Bakugo frantically pressed the elevator button, “Hurry up, you damn elevator!”
“Yelling at it want make it come faster, you know.”
“Shut up, Y/N.”
Once the elevator pinged, the doors slid open. Bakugo rushed you inside, turning around to watch as the doors slid shut again. No words were spoken, both of you urgently watching the elevator travel up to the level his dorm stood located in. You adjusted your hand in Bakugo’s grip, only for him to squeeze your hand tighter. The small action caused a tiny smile to tug at your lips in satisfaction. Damn, it felt good to finally have him.
The travelling between the elevator and Bakugo’s dorms happened so quickly it was all a blur. The only thing you knew was the sound of the door slamming behind you, before you were back up against the wall beside it.
Bakugo’s rough, calloused hands pinned your wrists to your side. There was no time to protest before the gap between you two closed. Your lips roughly fought against his a loosing battle. His lips felt chapped but soft at the same time. The taste of nitroglycerin lingered between your lips, the smell of caramel wafting into your nostrils. His hands let go of your wrists, finding a new home firmly on your hips only to press you further against the wall. Hands now free, they rushed into his hair. Silky blond locks weaved in and out of your fingers before you ran them down his neck to grip his shoulders.
The tickling of his tongue on your bottom lip begged your lips open, allowing it to slip inside your mouth. You desperately fought against his rough movements, only to lose. He took complete dominance as he slipped a knee between your thighs and propped you even further up the wall. In retaliation, you wrapped your legs around his waist, so he supported your full weight. Your crotch shamelessly pressed against his lower abdomen.
A gasp left your mouth as his warm hands glided up your curves and beneath your shirt. Bakugo’s skilled fingers ran patterns on the soft skin of your back, sending countless satisfied shivers up your spine. Your mouths continued to move in sink as his fingers slid along the skin just beneath your bra. The moan that escaped your mouth sent a wicked smirk onto Bakugo’s lips. Without warning, Bakugo’s lips left yours and attached to the soft skin of your jaw. You tilted your head to the side to give him more access to trail kisses down the curve of your neck. At the same time, one of his hands ran to the clasp of your bra. He fiddled with it, desperately trying to unclasp it before he gave up and detached his warm mouth from your neck.
“Damn it,” his warm moist breath tickled your neck, “How does this shitty thing work?”
You let a laugh leave your lips as you arched your back for your own hands to slip up your shirt. In an instant, you had detached it. The bra lacked straps, causing it to immediately drop to the floor.
A growl left Bakugo as he began sucking on the soft flesh of your neck. His warm, wet tongue pressed and flicked against it. The occasional sensation of his teeth grazing over your neck made a shiver slide up your spine. Bakugo’s large hands travelled back to the front, fanning over you exposed breasts. They travelled over them until he lightly fondled them in his hand, squeezing gently. Your hands on his shoulders quickly gripped onto the fabric of his black tank top. One of his thumbs flicked over your hardened nipple, causing his name to fall from your mouth in a pleasurable moan.
Bakugo greedily grunted, whispering against your neck, “Yeah, I like that, Y/N...”
His tongue continued to trail over your skin, sucking and flicking until he pulled away. Your eyes fluttered open, leaning down to press your forehead against his. Slowly, Bakugo’s hands trailed back down your sides and pulled out of your shirt. Your feet made it safely back down to the ground. When you attempted to meet Bakugo’s eyes, you found them trailing over purple bruises covering your neck, continuing up to the start of your jaw.
“Now you’re mine,” Bakugo brought you into a safe hug, letting you rest your head into the crevice of his neck. Your eyes squeezed shut again, delving yourself completely into his sent of caramel.
“As far as first kisses go,” you teased, letting a cheeky grin slide onto your face, “that wasn’t half bad.”
“Damn well, it wasn’t half bad!” His voice lifted higher, a familiar angry tone taking over. An even bigger smile came to your face once you realised he had almost completely forgotten the predicament he was in previously. “That better have been the best kiss ever!”
A little string of laughs left you, “Yeah, yeah. It was the best. You got me there.”
The silence continued for a little longer, until Bakugo retreated out of the hug. He cleared his throat before turning away from you. You took the opportunity to rush to his mirror, observing the damage he had done. A dozen or so purple hickies littered across your neck. They travelled all the way to your jaw and almost your ears. It would take a lot of foundation to cover those up, you thought.
“I’m definitely yours, it seems,” you turned to Bakugo, who only grunted, “I almost look as beat up as you.”
“I’m fine,” came his reply.
“You still need to clean those wounds and cover them up.”
“I don’t need Recovery Girl.”
“No, we shouldn’t bother Recovery Girl right now. I’d be happy to do it for you in the girls bathroom. Mr Aizawa is long gone, don’t worry about him catching us.”
“What about your annoying extras?”
“If any of the girls come in, I’m sure they’ll understand and make a pretty quick exit. I promise.”
Bakugo huffed in reply as you tilted your head in the direction of the door. You made your way to the door. As you reached out for the door handle, a bundle of black was thrown at you.
“Cover up, damn it,” Bakugo shoved his hands in his pockets and joined you by the door, “You don’t even have a bra on.”
“Oh, yeah,” you hurriedly unfolded the black clothing item, to find it was one of Bakugo’s plain black hoodies. You slipped it over your head and let it drop down a little further than your hoodies usually would. Caramel scent engulfed you, making it clear it hadn’t been washed since the last wear. Normally, that would disgust you, but it was your boyfriend’s. You plotted how long you were going to hold onto it in your head as you bundled the hood around your neck.
You gestured to yourself, only to receive a shrug from Bakugo. The shrug couldn’t hide the tiny reddish tint on his cheeks from the sight of you in his clothes. A victorious smile made it to your face, and you opened the door.
The journey to the girl’s bathrooms was uninterrupted. You led him there, linking pinkies the whole way. He hesitated to walk through the door, after all it was the female bathroom. The door shut suddenly behind you as you pointed Bakugo to sit on the bathroom counter. Swinging open the cabinet above the sink, you pulled out a small box of first aid supplies. You placed you hands on your hips after allocating the box a spot next to Bakugo.
“Take your shirt off,” you demanded, the authoritative tone desperately hiding the redness of your ears.
“Why?” Bakugo grumbled, mocking you with arms crossed.
“So I can see if you have any further injuries,” You opened the first aid box, pulling out a dry rag. Out of the corner of your eye, you spied Bakugo lifting his tank top over his head to reveal his toned chest and abs as you ran cold water over the rag. Wringing it of excess water, you turned to see him checking himself over for any injuries.
“Nothing,” Bakugo bluntly replied.
“Yes, but your ribs are bruised,” you pointed at the green patches of flesh along his sides. The mirror didn’t indicate any wounds or bruises on his back. Without warning, you dragged the moist rag over the bruises. A few droplets of water rolled down his chiseled stomach as he pulled back.
“That shit is cold!” Bakugo exclaimed, “I’m getting wet now, damn it!”
“It’s a rag with water, what did you expect?” You hummed, continuing to trace the bruised ribs softly with the rag. You leaned over the counter to grab hold of his closest hand, resting your sover it. “Stay still.”
Once you had finished, you gently gripped one of his forearms. The cloth traced his skin, washing it clean. You had to scrub it softly at some points, but avoided any of the open grazes and cuts. You travelled the cloth to run over his biceps, this time lightly dabbing at the largest graze. Your skilled hands couldn’t hide the blush on your face, especially with his fiery eyes watching your every move. They occasionally shifted to your concentrated features.
The cloth quickly passed over his shoulders and chest, before repeating the process on his other arm. This one wasn’t as scratched up as the other, making your job a lot simpler. Once you finished, you took a step back over to the sink.
“You’re probably gonna hate what I’m about to do,” you sighed, wringing out the rag after rinsing it.
“What are you gonna do?” He demanded, less agitated than he usually would be.
You didn’t answer with words but with your actions. Stopping the dripping of the rag, you dragged it around the gauze on his cheek. His hand swiped up, grabbing your wrist and pulling my hand away from his face.
“Die shitty rag! How dare you come near my face!”
A full hearted laugh left your lips, your head tilting back, “I’m trying to help you, baka. Please let me.”
Bakugo studied your face for a short while, until he ripped his eyes away, “Fine.” He left his cheek exposed, letting you place the rag back onto it. All the dust and ash had been scrubbed from his cheeks and nose. You softly dragged the rag over his forehead, softly dabbing it over a shallow graze. Once, your hand pulled away, you leaned up to place a soft kiss on his forehead.
“Are you done?” Bakugo rolled his eyes, pressing his bare back against the mirror.
You shook your head, “Nope. Not even close.” You placed the damp rag in the sink, digging around in the first aid box again. Bakugo groaned in annoyance, causing you to smile and shake your head again.
Cold plastic slipped between your finger tips - a small bottle of antiseptic. Pulling it out, you placed a few cotton balls next to it. Carefully, you dropped a small amount of antiseptic onto the cotton ball. You lifted it towards Bakugo, who grimaced at the sight.
“I can’t promise this won’t hurt,” you hissed in empathy, hesitantly detaching he hand from the counter. Pulling his arm closer, you dabbed the cotton ball onto one of the shallow grazes on his forearm.
Bakugo immediately pulled back, “Antiseptic can die!” You smiled, knowing that was his way of saying that it stung.
“It’s gonna sting a little bit,” you rolled your eyes, “I did tell you that.”
Your hand swiped out to grab his wrist in it again as he constantly ripped it away, “Katsuki Bakugo! It’ll get infected and hurt even more if you don’t let me do this!” You exclaimed in a playful seriousness.
“Say that again,” the grimace on Bakugo!s face dropped, his features now softer.
“It’ll get infected?”
“No, baka. My name.”
“Your name? Katsuki Bakugo?”
The smirk on his face now unmistakable, he placed a hand on your waist, “Yeah, call me Katsuki. I like when you say my name.”
A similar smirk crossed your face as you placed a hand over his on your waist. Without warning him, you took the cotton ball and frantically dabbed it onto the next graze. Katsuki grunted, whipping his arm out of your reach.
His eyes remained glued in the victimised graze, “What the hell? That was a dirty trick!”
“It worked, though,” you replied, drenching a new cotton ball in antiseptic, “That’s all that matters.”
“Whatever.”
Eventually, he gave up fighting against you, allowing you to finish applying antiseptic to grazes and cuts on his arms and shoulders without much fuss. You left the injuries covered by the gauze on his cheeks alone, immediately tending to the largest and most tender graze on his forehead. With your free hand, you pushed back his blond hair that shaded it. You kept that hand lovingly caressing the start of his hairline, while the other hesitantly dabbed at the graze.
Katsuki hissed through his teeth, causing you to slip your hand down the side of his face. You held his cheek in your palm and sent him an apologetic look.
“I’m sorry,” you placed the cotton ball down into the small pile of used ones under Katsuki’s observant gaze.
“I think I’m going to leave that one exposed. It needs to dry out to heal properly,” you explained thoroughly. A grunt left Katsuki as you pulled out more gauzes and a roll of bandage.
After a silent moment, you had successfully wrapped up his entire right forearm in a bandage. A large gauze covered a wide but shallow graze on his left shoulder and a couple of smaller ones littered over some small ones on his left bicep.
As you began to quietly pack up the first aid box, you felt a pair of arms slide around your waist. You stood on your tippy-toes to place it back in the cabinet, only for the limbs to wrap around you tighter. Katsuki’s breathtaking red eyes met yours in the reflection of the mirror, where you swayed in his arms in contentment.
“When I’m let off this shitty house arrest,” Katsuki grumbled into your marked neck from your previous activities, “I’m taking you out.”
“Yeah,” you laughed, leaning your head against his, “I’d love to, Katsuki.”
“It wasn’t a choice.”
A giggle left your lips, leaving both of you happy as you stood in each other’s arms.
