"girls! get ready for bed," you coo as you enter your kids' bedroom and see them playing with dolls. they look at you with puppy eyes and huge pouts, one last attempt to get 5 more minutes of playtime.

"nope. no more excuses. you're already 30 minutes late," you declare, with makes them stand up defeatedly and stomp towards the washroom. you walk around, placing the toys in the box and arranging the girls' beds. they come out some fifteen minutes later.

you tuck them both into their beds and they let out a satisfied sigh as sleep starts to take over. you pat their cheeks and turn off the lights.

just as you were about to exit the room, haeyoon, the elder one, calls out, "mommy, where's our goodnight kiss?"

"i'm so sorry baby," you speak and rush towards her to place the mandatory kiss on her head, and the extra ones on her cheek. you move over to hae-in and kiss her the same. you let out a soft 'good night' before leaving the bedroom.

you go to your own bedroom to find your husband already in bed, phone in hand and eyes shut. you chuckle as you get ready for bed and climb in, placing his phone on the nightstand and turning off the lights.

joshua stirs awake and sits up.

"hey!! where's my goodnight kiss??" he says before shaking you.

you gasp and sit and quickly give him a small, fluttering smooch on the corner of his lips. he pulls you back in and places a lingering kiss on your lips, deepening with every second. he pulls away satisfied.

"now, let's go to sleep."

timezones are something you've started hating ever since the day jun started going on tours after you two began dating. like, what do you mean he's sleeping when you see a cute cat on the street, you wanna face time him to show it to him???

he's on one such tour now and you're pretty much miserable.

you: junie I miss you :(

my moon: just two more days baby, I'll be back by then

you: oh i forgot to tell you!

you: i saw this really cute cat on my way to work today

the last message was sometime around 10:30pm back home, and it's 11:45 pm now. jun keeps checking his phone every 2 minutes, but he finds no reply.

my moon: baby?

my moon: hello??

my moon: yn???

missed call from my moon

he finds relief only when you reply back another half hour later, saying that you'd fallen asleep trying to search for the picture, along with the said picture. an orange cat sleeping, with a flower on its head.

my moon: i was so worried!!

you: how's the cat?

my moon: you didn't even pick my call!!

jun loves going on tours, and hates being away from you. fortunately for him, you always make it seem like he's just beside you.

you turn towards the voice, and find a very drunken (and very adorable) soonyoung standing to your right, a glass of whiskey (?) in hand. he was loud enough to be heard over the noise of the club, yet you still perked up and leaned towards him.

"hello."

"what'ss a pretty lady like you hic... doing over hereee?" his voice sounded almost like a sing-song. he probably had a little too much of the drink. confirming your thoughts, he stumbles into the chair next to you.

"just winding up after a long day, you know? what about you?"

"well, i jus wanna let loooose tonight. with my friendsss. they're prolly out there, hic, dancing or drinking," he waves his hands around, pointing towards his friends. but you're only looking at him. a small smile forms on your lips, but you're quick to hide it.

"i see... it's too crowded here, you wanna go somewhere private?" you offer, pretending innocence.

he lets out a loud gasp, "oh no! i have a girlfriendd!! hic she's somewhere around here. she'll end you iff she finds out."

"is she that dangerous?"

"sometimess, but she's veeery sweet. hic always takes care off me. kisses me goodnight and goood morning. hic, always sends me cute stuff that reminds her of me... hic-"

he stands up as he's speaking, but then stumbles again and falls into the seat, face first onto the counter.

you gasp and rush over to him, patting him on the cheek, "omg, soonie? soonyoung? are you okay??"

he lets out a slow groan before raising his head and looking at you. his eyes sparkle with recognition

"y/n!! omg you're here! i was hic just talking about you! come on, let'ss have a drink!" he shouts and turns to call the bartender, "sir-"

"soonie, come on, let's go home. you're way too drunk," you pull him by his hand to get him to stand. even in his drunken state, he laughs and let's you lead him.

"y/n you know something? i met a lady back at the counter. she kind of looked a lot like you. But! she tried to hit on me!!"

you play along, pretending surprise, "really? what did you say?"

"I pushed her away, of course. can't ever forget my baby. my sweet, lovely babyyy..."
