loves to show his affection you by giving you gifts. specifically, stuff that you want. it's not even mentioned directly — he just noticed you look at a pair of earrings for a little too long and with a little too want. mentally notes it. wont stop until he buys it and baam the next thing you know, he hands it to you on your birthday, your anniversary, or any other random day. stuff like these don't need any special reason, he says. doesnt even have to be anything expensive or extraordinary. even that keychain you saw at the supermarket while grocery shopping, that you then thought you didnt really need. he gets it for you the next day. would become super duper happy when he sees you using it.

loves to spend his time with you, most of it, if not all. always there to listen to your rants and talks, even if it's just about how rough work was, or something funny that happened, or just straight up blabbering. instantly gives you hundred percent of his attention when you start talking. also loves to get off work quick so that he can rush back home and be with you. however you decide to spend the time, he wants you to do it with him. it could be cooking, watching tv, doing laundry or skincare. it doesn't matter as long as you're doing it together.

if he could attach you both together, he'd try that- always on you. you're connected, somehow, someway. you could be hugging, kissing, cuddling, making out, having sex, but he needs his skin to be touching your skin. it's such a deeper level of connection for him, that you're both familiar with each other's bodies, comfortable to share it with the other. it's very personal to him and he cherishes the feeling. however, in public, where he can't really engage in pda (he would, but you'd just glare at him), he finds other ways of holding you. hand on your waist, or the small of your back, or the curve of your ass; arm around your shoulder; caressing your cheeks or booping your nose. and if you reject his touches, be prepared to deal with a sulky kidult (pun intended). in general, he needs your touch to survive.

a/n : gym dino has been on my brain for the past few days and i needed to write something

gym partner chan who asks you to hold his feet for situps just so he can kiss you between reps. then will expect the same when it's your turn. he calls them fuel for the next rep. who absolutely will spend 80% of the workout just chatting with you if you let him. and you do, because his voice is one of your favorite sounds and it makes the time breeze by.

gym partner chan who forgets to bring his own energy drink and ends up downing 60% of yours. despite you only offering a few sips. who is an absolute monster when it comes to lifting but nearly passes out three minutes into the stair climber. griping on and on about how the days you choose the workouts are pure torture. though, you've been known to say the same about his insane arm circuits. so putting in each other's least favorite workouts has become a vicious cycle of payback for the previous week.

gym partner chan who once dropped a weight on his foot because he was too busy staring at you in the mirror. having accidentally zoned out mid-set because he gets so mesmerized watching you. entranced by how your skin glistens when sweaty and your athletic wear clings to your body. so caught up in his daydream of kissing you the weight slips from his hand and bam. 25 pounds straight to the foot.

the whole room is dark, except for the faint glow of your phone. you lay in your bed, scrolling through absolutely random trivia reels. cheol's laying beside you, one arm thrown across your waist as he cuddles into the heat of your body. he should have been sound asleep by now. but he's only halfway through there, being pulled back to wake by your questions.

"cheol?"

he hums back, voice thickly layered with sleep.

"what color do you think i am?"

the room turns silent. you wait for a moment.

"cheo-"

"blue. you seem like blue to me."

"why blue?"

"cause, to me, blue means calm, peace, and secure. like i dont have to worry about anything. like i can let down all my thoughts to rest for a while. and you feel like all those things to me."

you just hum back in response, the next question thats displayed on your screen preventing you from thinking over his words.

a minute passes before you ask again, "cheol?"

"...yes, love?"

"what icecream flavour am i?"

a beat passes before he replies, "you're cookies-n-cream. because you're soft and sweet, with a little crunch at times."

you hum yet again, registering his answer.

"plus, its your favourite," he adds, which brings a soft smile to your face.

you turn your attention back to your phone, searching for the next question.

"cheol...?"

"love.... how about we go to sleep now, and i'll answer all your questions tomorrow?" he asks, looking at you with eyes drooping with sleep.

you just smile and nod, turning off your phone and keeping it aside before you get back into bed. as soon as you lay down, seungcheol's quick to snuggle into your side, his face nuzzled into your neck, his breaths tickling you. you take a look at the sleepy man with you before closing your eyes.

"yes, my love?

"...i love you."

he doesnt respond immediately, but you feel him smiling into your skin, his breath hitching for the slightest of moments before returning to normal as he mumbles back.

"i love you too, dear."
