a/n : gym dino has been on my brain for the past few days and i needed to write something

gym partner chan who asks you to hold his feet for situps just so he can kiss you between reps. then will expect the same when it's your turn. he calls them fuel for the next rep. who absolutely will spend 80% of the workout just chatting with you if you let him. and you do, because his voice is one of your favorite sounds and it makes the time breeze by.

gym partner chan who forgets to bring his own energy drink and ends up downing 60% of yours. despite you only offering a few sips. who is an absolute monster when it comes to lifting but nearly passes out three minutes into the stair climber. griping on and on about how the days you choose the workouts are pure torture. though, you've been known to say the same about his insane arm circuits. so putting in each other's least favorite workouts has become a vicious cycle of payback for the previous week.

gym partner chan who once dropped a weight on his foot because he was too busy staring at you in the mirror. having accidentally zoned out mid-set because he gets so mesmerized watching you. entranced by how your skin glistens when sweaty and your athletic wear clings to your body. so caught up in his daydream of kissing you the weight slips from his hand and bam. 25 pounds straight to the foot.

gym partner chan who purposely takes his shirt off to benchpress to show off his chest and arms, hoping you'll stare. and then teases you relentlessly for oggling at said chest and arms. even though it's totally just because you're spotting him. where else are you supposed to look!? gym etiquette and his safety are your number one priorities. it's not your fault his muscles just happen to be right there in full view. and you're certainly not one to complain about what others choose to (or not to) wear in the gym. really. it's totally innocent.

gym partner chan who has learned your limits. he knows exactly when to push you to work harder and when to make you take breaks. always so gentle and encouraging. reminding you to drink water and that you're doing well. who takes his job as your number-one hype man very seriously. never missing a beat when it comes to cheering you on. or commenting on how hot you look. who at times can be a stickler about technique. but only because he doesn't want you to injure yourself.

gym partner chan who likes to cling to you throughout the session no matter how much you complain about not needing his excess body heat when you're already sweaty. he takes immense joy in sneaking up behind you and pulling you into a back hug. lifting you up and spinning you around just to show he can. who, unprompted, will massage your sore muscles if you look particularly tense (only to turn around and ask you to get a knot in his back). any reason he can find to be touching you, he will.

gym partner chan who is incredibly tentative when you're having an off day. he will stop what he's doing in a heartbeat if he sees you getting frustrated or overwhelmed. because he knows you've set high expectations for yourself, but some days it's okay to take it easy. who lifts your chin and makes you look in his eyes while he tells you how amazing you are with a sweet voice. then makes you repeat it back to him for good measure. who cooks a post-workout meal with you, ensuring you eat well after working so hard.

gym partner chan who cherishes your post-workout naps together on the couch. the ones where he gets to let his body relax in the comfort of your presence. utterly exhausted, but in the best way possible. feeling both accomplished and deserving of the rest. his arms tightly wrap around your waist as he clumsily pulls you to lay on top of him. the ache in his muscles melting away with the warmth of your body against his. your gentle kisses against his jaw ease him to sleep. all the while knowing that there is simply no better feeling than moments like these.

"well, hellooo~"

you turn towards the voice, and find a very drunken (and very adorable) soonyoung standing to your right, a glass of whiskey (?) in hand. he was loud enough to be heard over the noise of the club, yet you still perked up and leaned towards him.

"hello."

"what'ss a pretty lady like you hic... doing over hereee?" his voice sounded almost like a sing-song. he probably had a little too much of the drink. confirming your thoughts, he stumbles into the chair next to you.

"just winding up after a long day, you know? what about you?"

"well, i jus wanna let loooose tonight. with my friendsss. they're prolly out there, hic, dancing or drinking," he waves his hands around, pointing towards his friends. but you're only looking at him. a small smile forms on your lips, but you're quick to hide it.

"i see... it's too crowded here, you wanna go somewhere private?" you offer, pretending innocence.

he lets out a loud gasp, "oh no! i have a girlfriendd!! hic she's somewhere around here. she'll end you iff she finds out."

"is she that dangerous?"

"sometimess, but she's veeery sweet. hic always takes care off me. kisses me goodnight and goood morning. hic, always sends me cute stuff that reminds her of me... hic-"

he stands up as he's speaking, but then stumbles again and falls into the seat, face first onto the counter.

you gasp and rush over to him, patting him on the cheek, "omg, soonie? soonyoung? are you okay??"

he lets out a slow groan before raising his head and looking at you. his eyes sparkle with recognition

"y/n!! omg you're here! i was hic just talking about you! come on, let'ss have a drink!" he shouts and turns to call the bartender, "sir-"

"soonie, come on, let's go home. you're way too drunk," you pull him by his hand to get him to stand. even in his drunken state, he laughs and let's you lead him.

"y/n you know something? i met a lady back at the counter. she kind of looked a lot like you. But! she tried to hit on me!!"

you play along, pretending surprise, "really? what did you say?"

"I pushed her away, of course. can't ever forget my baby. my sweet, lovely babyyy..."

sunlight peeks in gently through the windows and curtains of your shared bedroom. the cold has you and jeonghan wrapped in the blanket. he hogged it in the night, but you managed to fight back, successfully this time. the warmth of the sunlight plus the warmth from han's body makes it very difficult to get out of bed.

and he has decided to take advantage of it.

"don't go...." he whines. he's half asleep, eyes closed shut, but the grip he has on your body says otherwise.

"i can't do that and neither can you. get up now, or else we'll both be late," you nudge him out of bed, but he just snuggles closer into you.

"ynnn... don't goo... we can cuddle like this the whole day. you know we deserve it..."

you sigh. dating jeonghan has made you understand that winning against him is almost impossible.

so you decide to give in.

"fine. i'll call in sick today."

"okay! I'll call seungcheol and tell him too," he says and rolls over to his side of the bed to grab his phone.

"seungcheol, hey... i don't think I can come to work today.... no, it's just that yn's fallen sick so i need to take care of her.... no it's not very serious, she just wants me here...."

your eyes bulge out so much you think they've fallen out. the heck he means you were sick?! the heck he means you asked him to stay??

"yeah, okay thanks cheol," he says and hangs up and captures you in a huge, suffocating hug.

"i gotchu now... all mine..."

"i can't sleep."

you look away from your book to find a disheveled jihoon standing at the doorway. his eyes seem blood-shot red; his pajamas are crumpled; his hair points out in every direction, defying even the laws of physics and he holds a pillow in his hands.

you never imagined a day you'd see your roommate like this.

even with the initial shock, you keep the book aside and smile and beckon him over. he wordlessly wobbles over and climbs onto your bed. you pat your lap. he hesitates for a moment before gently laying his head on your lap. you immediately start to play with his hair.

"is there anything bothering you?" you ask him. you know he's a busy man — with his classes and music production, he barely even gets time to eat or sleep or stays home. opportunities like these should be seized, you know?

he still doesn't say anything, resorting to shaking his head into a 'no'. you continue to comb through his hair, removing any tangles you find.

"tell me about your day..." he starts out of nowhere. you hum as you remember all the events of the day.

"it was pretty much like usual, I guess. all the classes and stuff- oh! did you know? seungkwan spilled his americano today," you say in between giggles — the incident was way too comical.

"how?"

"it was soonyoung who spilled it. he was imitating seungkwan to a few of their juniors when kwan showed up behind him with his coffee. one elbow lift and baam, everything went flying. you know what's funny, kwan was wearing a white shirt," you start laughing again, tears threatening to escape. soonyoung's and seungkwan's shenanigans have always been your group's free entertainment. everyday was a new episode.

"don't go asking about this to kwan tho, he'll just end me..."

and that's when you notice a cute jihoon curled up into a ball, quiet snores escaping from him. a little string of drool at the corner of his lips. the sight is so endearing, you try to hold yourself back from capturing it.

but you end up taking it anyway. anything for a little blackmail material.
