My philosophy on life is that I don’t ever want to start the day off from a bad dream if I can help it, so I’m going back to bed.

Sonnet of Unrequited Love

I wonder if you see the stars a lot,

for if you did then you might see my face

in constellations galaxies had brought

to you, a moment seemingly erased.

But what has come from sitting here alone?

The mirrored night does fade into the sky;

I built a castle out of clouds: a throne

you cannot reach for you still cannot fly.

These playground flowers follow solemn chants—

no time to leave childish things behind.

For if I do, a madness comes in rants

of love I never had but hope to find.

So take these crooked palms that hold my heart,

and if they beat in time, we’re counterparts.
