I've allowed myself to grieve a friendship ending, a situationship, losing something important to me, etc. It's okay to give yourself time to process the loss of something. Grief looks different for everyone, try to find a way that works for you to help make it easier for you.

Processing trauma takes time. You can’t force yourself to “get over” it faster. The time it takes is unpredictable. Being hard on yourself isn’t likely to make that time shorter.

Giving yourself time and space, giving yourself room to breathe and permission to have setbacks or breakdowns or anything else you need - that has a much better chance to help you process and heal.
