I AM NATIVE GERMAN AND I KNOW NONE OF THESE BUT ERDAPFEL (and for so.e inexplicable reason I’ve heard tüfte before, too. Can’t explain.)

a question: what is german for potato(it is in dutch aardappel, so earthapple, german isn't an easy/logical language either but the people that came up with some of the dutch words and sayings used a bit too much drugs)

Now we say Kartoffel, before Germans used to call it Erdapfel which translates to earth apple too!
