seven days of comfort.
βI apologize, for all the times I never speak up, but I fear of what you'll truly think, for my world could collapse in the fate of words."

"...But take my hand anyway, darling. I'll give you all the assurance you'll ever need, and whisper my sweet words down your ear in hopes you'll be in relief."

It was a huge room. Tables positioned in a rightful manner, yet people's bodies still brushing and colliding with each other. The stage held the performers who had been chosen for the award show, doing their specials.
You were sat beside Taylor, in the front row. Either watching the performances, or talking to people. But it was more of Taylor, doing the talking as you quietly accompanied her.
You weren't used to these types of events. Not just yet. But being social wasn't one of your strong suit either, so you were at a low chance of surviving a night like this.
The lights were bright as you shifted in the uncomfortable plastic chair. The stage lights especially, sending colors that make the entire room turn red, blue, purple, or any other color.
Honestly, you couldn't tell if a headache was growing on you, if you were dizzy, or overstimulated by the amount of things happening in your surroundings.
It shouldn't be this hard. a performance, bright lights, people, and conversations. Just four things. You named them in your head once again. But still, it felt like too many things.
You bit your lip, trying to either look to the floor or focus on the drink in your hand. Taylor was moving animatedly on the chair next to you, her back facing towards you.
You wanted to tell her, maybe just gain some reassurance, or possibly get a chance to go home, but she seemed like she was having so much fun in the meanwhile. Of course, you wouldn't want to risk ruining her night just because you couldn't brave the atmosphere of a party.
You blinked and shook your head for a moment, just to get rid of the sinking feeling that you were losing your resolve.
Honestly, it seemed as if the whole world was starting to fall apart. All that was left on your mind was to go home, and it was eating away at your heart.
You sighed. At least you weren't standing up. You were sure that if you are, you would've gone into a spiral already.
Beside you, you hear the soft and familiar giggle of your girlfriend, laughing at something that her best friend, Selena, had said. You were glad it was Selena there. Plus, you felt safer with her than a stranger or another one of Taylor's friends you didn't know, but the setting of the situation wasn't ideal.
You were looking off to some celebrities talking to each other when Taylor settles back down on her seat and turns to look at you, your hand on your other arm, moving up and down.
Her face softens, a look reserved for only you as she gazes at your expression that seems somewhat troubled. You didn't even really seem focused on who's who, just spacing out a lot. Concern swirls in her heart, and she leans closer to you.
"Hey," Taylor whispers, getting your attention quickly since she was close to you, and you turn your head, seeing her gentle blue eyes that made everything else fade away, just a little.
"You okay?" she asks, her hand reaching up to rub your back. You were hesitant, but then nod gently. Taylor bit her own lip. She wasn't convinced, but she only remembers to take a note of you for now.
"Just tell me if you need anything, okay?" she says softly, looking into your eyes so you knew how much she meant about it, and wanted to care for you.
You nod once more, trying to give her a small smile. She returns it, hoping to give you some reassurance. But now another singer had come onstage, and she had to focus back onto it, especially since it was one that she was close to.
Her hand was still on your back, and at times she points things out in the performance to make you giggle or mesmerized. It worked at some times, but she can see the faltering of her plan. The people who approached her also didn't really help as she tried to keep a side task of having you grounded either.
The room was so cold, even crossing your arms didn't work in helping. She knew herself, even with a coat on, it was far too cold at this party. The slight shiver in your body could be felt beneath her hand, and she decides to take off her coat, her arms slipping out to give to you instead.
You were surprised at her sudden silent offer, not wanting to simply take it since she could get just as cold as you, but then she lightly pushes it closer to you in the air.
With a blush on your cheeks, you take it, putting your arms in the armholes, and letting it wrap around your body, almost instantly warming you up.
You lean back in your seat, your hands in the pocket of Taylor's coat, and she lets you lean against her as she watches the stage performances. Her hand trails down to wrap around your waist, gently pulling you closer to her.
You try to let yourself relax a little, maybe even live a little, because, it was a party after all, but you just couldn't. There were too many people. Through your headphones and the music, still, you can hear the mixed conversations making the space loud. Or maybe you were imagining it to be louder than it should be. You couldn't tell anymore, and the night was getting late.
You stared at the stage for a bit, seeing the sparks and all the props, with the band playing their instruments. But then your eyes trail off to Taylor, who only had her side profile in view as she watched.
This was your chance. She was there, close to you, and no one else had her attention other than the show that only played for the crowd.
You gently dig your fingers in the hem of your shirt, letting the fabric wrap around your hand, taking a breath in. Then, you lean in to her shoulder.
"Tay..." you whisper out, and she just barely heard it, but with your body pressed closer into her side, she turns to look down at you. She feels your arm move to wrap around her, and her instincts to care for you rise up.
"What's wrong, baby?" she asks softly, but the right volume to come through all the noise. You also went to look at her lips, reading what she said just a little.
"can..." you manage to utter out one small word, but then your teeth sinks into your lower lip and you divert your gaze away from her.
Your courage to tell her was fading, but you had already gotten her attention in a concerning way, so you couldn't back out now.
You were getting dizzy at the amount of people walking around as your eyes travel around the area. It was getting worse and you may be too late. Taylor's hand gently comes up to cup your cheek, giving a small warmth.
"Baby...focus on me," she whispers, encouraging you to look at her as her other hand comes up to hold your other cheek, thumbs brushing against your skin.
When she sees you capture her set of soft eyes, she nods and gives you a reassuring smile. Once you take an anxious breath in though, she moves to gently pull you into an embrace.
"You're okay...It's okay," she slowly and calmly whispers her soft words into your ear, her cheek feeling the brush of your hair as she rubbed your back.
You buried your face into her chest, squeezing your eyes shut as you finally got some sort of comfort. Taylor could feel your arms tighten around her, and her heart aches as she realizes you might have been on the brink of breaking longer than she thought.
"Shh...we'll go back home," she says quietly, her eyes taking a quick look around for a path of exit. She could see some of the eyes upon her and you, but she didn't mind it at all, only wanting to comfort you.
"I'm sorry..." you mumble, slightly muffled by how you had yourself within her embrace, and you were crumbling, hoping to everything she wasn't mad. But her gentle arms holding you together was everything but mad.
"No, don't apologize, sweetheart...its not your fault." She shook her head, then pulled back slightly, seeing your eyes that only had the look of vulnerability, and she had to take a breath in herself to not straight up just carry you out the party building.
"Stay close," she says as she looks into your eyes, taking your hand to lay a soft kiss on the back. "We're gonna get out of here, baby..."
She makes sure you're able to walk with her as she moves to stand up, her hand now intertwined with yours. Just as she was going to take a step forward, Selena had seen the two of you, giving a concerned glance.
"Is everything okay?" She asks, leaned forward with her legs crossed, her hand on her knees. She was worried about you especially, knowing you weren't one to partake in events like these.
Taylor purses her lips and gives her a slight smile, keeping you close to her as she saw the groups of people walking near. "I need to take Y/N home..." she explains, and she can see the way Selena's face softens when her eyes trailed off to you, seeing the state you were in.
"You should take the back door. There's less paparazzi there," Selena says, nodding towards where it was, hiding in almost the mere corner, a double door that didn't have an exit sign.
Taylor looks to it, then back to her best friend, forever grateful as she nods to her. "Thank you," she replies, now walking towards the back exit.
A distant and soft "Take care of yourselves!" was heard from Selena, and Taylor smiles softly while your heart lightened just slightly.
When you arrive to the backdoor, Taylor gives your hand a small and gentle squeeze, looking to you to see if you were ready. Then, she opens the door, walking out with you in the small camera flashes.
You hid yourself just slightly with her shoulder, and she keeps her confident look, protectively keeping you close to her as she aims for the nearby limo ready for you both, her security guards also there to guarantee both of your safety.
Thankfully, it wasn't a long distance, so you and Taylor get in the car safely, the door closing with a gentle shut, and the outside noise quieted down.
She lets out a slow sigh of relief, starting to feel the world loosen down a little. Then, she turns to you, who was moving your fingers into a fist and then releasing them, trying to take breaths to calm down.
Taylor gazes at you softly, and her hand goes around your shoulder as she leaned down to lay a gentle kiss on the side of your head.
She can feel your beating heart twice as fast once she wrapped both her arms around you. "Take deep breaths, sweetheart..." she whispers quietly, hoping her thumb gently rubbing on your shoulder was comforting.
Soon, she hears a shaky inhale from you, the sound of it making her heart clench, but she nods encouragingly, taking her own deep breath to help you follow through with a slow exhale.
The car had started moving forward, going towards your house as you started to calm down with each breath. Taylor leans her head against yours, the exhaustion in your bodies obvious.
Orange street lights passes by, and the cool night air with the gleaming sidewalks make it all the more colder. It had rained a while ago, yet the party had gone on.
She turns her head, kissing just atop your head softly. "Lets go home...and then we can spend our night cozily in bed, yeah?" she whispers, leaning back to look at you adoringly.
You nod gently, a sigh escaping your mouth as you close your eyes. But it wasn't like you could fall asleep in a car easily, especially after the night you had.
So, you open your eyes again, taking in the view of the window, or the way Taylor's arm was around you.
After a moment, you reach up, gently taking one of her hands to fiddle with, and she watches you, seeing how you took a small interest to the bracelet she was currently wearing.
It was shiny, and a golden color, holding the logo of her new album. But your interest fizzled away once you move her fingers one by one, or traced the lines on her palm.
Taylor intertwines your fingers, moving it up to her lips so she could lay a loving kiss against the back of your hand. Your eyes watched, and a flush crosses over your face that made her giggle.
She rests her cheek ever so slightly against your intertwined hands, looking to you as her thumb caressed your knuckles.
By the time a few seconds passed by after the gestures of love and care, the car arrives to your shared home, and Taylor looks to the window.
She reaches over to the side, opening the car door so the both of you could go out, and you follow her, hands still intertwined.
The car door was shut, and the limo had driven away, having done its job of sending the both of you home safely.
When you arrive at the front porch, Taylor looks for the house keys in her pockets, but when she didn't find it, a small panic arose in her.
You blinked at her, seeing the way her movements held a little urgency, but then she froze, as if a realization came over her, and she checks the pocket of her coat, which you were currently wearing.
You let her fish out the keys, and she sighs a huge breath of relief, turning to insert it into the keyhole. You smile softly, and lean against her side as she opened the door.
The house was quiet as you both entered, only the sound of the door shutting and keys rattling echoing through the living room. It was all filled by dim lighting, a cozy atmosphere of a home for the two of you, and it was exactly how you loved it. This was the place where you could wind down, rest all your energy at.
Taylor smiles down at you when she sees your slight relaxation at the present feeling of home, and her hands go up your arm before she leads you to the bedroom.
The door creaks when she lightly pushes it open, a clear sign of its age, but also a sign of how many times you both had come and gone out the room.
She closes the door behind her before she settles you to sit down on the bed. As much as she wanted to let you rest with your heavy eyes, Taylor knew it was best to change into some more comfy clothes.
You felt the soft mattress welcome your body back, and you simply watch as Taylor grabbed your clothes, walking back to you with them in hand.
She sets them down beside you before looking at you questionably, as if one for permission. In your tiredness, you give a light nod, and her eyes soften.
You let her help with changing your clothes, feeling the warmthness covering your body. When you look down, you notice the sweater was one of hers, and the corners of your lips raise up.
She gets finished changing into her own t-shirt and sweatpants, and then goes into bed with you, scooting to her side as you went to yours.
The covers gently get pulled up by her, warming up both of your bodies easily. But, of course, she went to cuddle you, arms wrapped around you as you settle in bed.
You lean into her, nuzzling into her chest and breathing in her scent. All of everything from today, washing away.
She could see how much you practically wanted to curl up into a ball, which, you were seemingly very close to. Her arms pull you even closer, wanting nothing but for you to feel loved and cared for.
"Its okay..." she says quietly, feeling the small restlessness your body held. She traces gentle patterns on your back, and a sigh of contentment left her own lips.
Taylor moves just slightly to softly kiss the side of your head, whispering sweet nothings to let your heart rest in a steady rhythm. "Nothing's gonna hurt you while I'm here."
You were overwhelmed. That was for sure. But now in this moment, you can feel the love radiating from her, and all you wanted was some much needed rest.
"You're safe, sweetheart..." Her voice sounds out through the night in a gentle tone, one for you and only you. She slowly closes her own eyes when she saw yours falling to a shut, feeling you sink into a deep slumber.

seven days of comfort
"All my actions fall like dominoes, but one is always out of place."

|βββββββββββ βΈβΈ βββββββββββ|
It was late in the night when you arrived back home, exhausted of the day you had. You just about felt like you were going to pass out from sleepiness.
The time on your watch showed 10 pm. It wasn't entirely that bad of a time to come home at of course, but it didn't mean you weren't completely spent.
You closed the front door with a heavy and shaky breath, leaning against it slightly as you untied your shoelaces and pushed your shoes off your feet, your keys clinking against each other.
Your eyes felt heavy, but still you looked to the living room, trying to find Taylor. The tv was on, and you just barely noticed the movement on the couch as you walked forward.
She was indeed there, having been home much earlier than you have, simply waiting for you. Taylor had moved to sit up, propping herself on her elbows to look at you.
When her eyes find yours, she saw the exhaustion swirling in your pupils, while hers still held some energy, being used to her late nights, but seeing you like that had her heart aching.
Yet, she lets out a breath of relief when she sees you stand in front of her, and she gives you a soft smile. "Hey, baby...you okay?" she asks quietly, her hand stretching out to gently take yours.
You bit your lower lip, your teeth sinking into your already teeth marked lip. As you look into her eyes, you lightly shook your head.
One mistake. One mistake, and you could feel like your entire world's crumbled. You do nearly everything right. You always do. But you always manage to make a single mistake and it ruins it all. Or, thats what you think.
The couch sinks down just slightly when you plop onto it, the much needed gentle comfortness of it far from the damn plastic chairs you have over at work.
You almost look deflated as you leaned into Taylor, letting out a slow breath that recalls to every sigh you've ever let loose back at work.
She looks at you with a soft expression, her heart swelling before she wraps her arms around you, pulling you closer to rest her head on yours.
"...Do you wanna tell me what happened, sweetheart?" she asks softly, her hand rubbing your back as her eyebrows gently strained with worry.
Your hand's grip on her shirt gently tightened, and you sniffle. "I...did a mistake at work..." you mumble, feeling the pooling tears in your eyes, brimming to the edge, but not yet leaving.
Taylor's heart nearly breaks at the sound of your shaky and small voice. It makes sense. You were tired, overthinking over one single thing, and was doing work all at the same time until you arrived home.
"Shh...darling...its okay," she whispers, her arms being nothing else but comforting and warm as she embraces you.
"I promise you, not everything falls down with just one mistake." she pulls back slightly, moving your hair back as she looked at you with gentle eyes. You stare back at her, your emotions dwelling right in your eyes.
She offers you a small smile. "You're still here, aren't you?...I'm still here." she whispers, giving you all the reassurance she could.
"Everything's gonna be okay." she whispers, while you snuggle close into her, feeling the comfort she radiated. A nuzzle into the crook of her neck was the only thing you've been needing all day.
You stay quiet for a moment, a gentle breath escaping your mouth, but this one, only out of a little relief, thankful that she could be here for you. You've been needing her presence all day, but she had to be out of reach from you.
"I've missed you..." you breathe out with your earnest honesty, the small breath tickling her skin and reminding her the actual presence of you.
"I've missed you too, baby..." she whispers, nuzzling her face back into your hair, her hands running gently on your back.
You let out a content sigh, one of your legs having folded up onto the couch, just nearly in her lap, but only half in the position.
The tv was still playing in the background, and you hear the familiar voices and laughter from it, knowing Taylor probably had her favorite tv show on. But still, you wanted to ask her anyway.
"...What are you watching?" you mumble, turning your head to see the screen. You indeed saw the usual characters, moving with their expressions onscreen.
"Friends," she says, and you respond with a gentle hum, pulling up both your legs up on the couch so you could cuddle into her more properly.
Sure, the episode was playing out, but her gaze was on you rather than the tv, appreciating being next to you after a whole day.
When she sees you settle down, her arms around you tighten just slightly, leaning down to place a kiss atop your head.
It was a surprise you hadn't invited her to go to the bedroom already, considering how low of an energy you had when you went through the front door just a few minutes ago.
But she accepts it just for a moment, laying down on the long part of the couch and gently pulling you with her so you both could be more relaxed and comfortable.
"Are you sure you're not too tired, sweetheart...?" Taylor asks, peeking with a tilt of her head just so she could see your face. But you only pressed your cheek further against her chest.
"I just...wanna be with you," you mumble, your hand brushing against hers. You then look up at her to see her staring at you skeptically, her eyebrow raised.
You purse your lips, then lean up to lightly touch your nose against hers and nuzzle against it. "One episode...?" you whispered hopefully. And if that didn't do it, you leaned in to softly kiss her, an offer of sweetness that she couldn't let go.
She breathes out a chuckle, her thumb gently rubbing your skin. "Okay," she whispers, bringing your hand up to her lips to plant a gentle kiss.
Both of you continue to cuddle together on the couch, Friends playing out on the tv. It was a safe space in private, something just for the two of you, and no one else.
You relish in her small giggles at some of the comedic scenes from the tv show, and you watched too, being surprisingly captivated by the stories it held.
It didn't really last long though, of your smiles and small giggles that echoed Taylor's, considering your exhaustion was setting in even further.
Your head slowly falls against Taylor's chest and going farther down, then goes back up as you try your best to keep staying awake. She starts to notice this a lot more frequently as the episode was coming to an end, and she smiles softly at your fight to stay awake, simply to stay with her.
She leans down, whispering softly to not startle you fully awake. "You wanna go to the bedroom, baby?...It's more comfortable there." Her thumb lightly moved up and down your arm, luring you even more to give in.
You slowly nod at her question, and Taylor gently brings you to sit up, making sure to go before you fall asleep.
"Okay, come on, love..." she murmurs, kissing your cheek before helping you to stand up, arm wrapped around your waist and shoulder to keep you steady.
When you both enter the bedroom, you practically flopped into bed, lazily taking off your flannel. Taylor giggles at your silly action and helps you put away your work flannel instead of letting it be thrown somewhere on the bed.
She shakes her head, but crawls into bed to join you, her heart light as she saw you snuggling closer to her with a yawn, covering it as you nestled yourself in her embrace and the warmth of your neck.
You let yourself relax on the bed with her, your heavy and aching eyes closing themselves unwillingly. Taylor stays still, her hand gently running through your hair and brushing slightly with her fingers to soothe you into sleep.
She listens on as your breaths grew further into a softer rhythm, slowly falling asleep.
Once she was sure you were had gone to sleep and is safe, she smiles softly, her own eyes closing so she could fall into slumber with you.

seven days of comfort.
βAnxiety's sitting in the backseat, waiting for any moment to rise its attack.
But don't let it bite.
Gently have it delve back into the stormy seas and let the gray clouds fade back into daylight instead.
Try it, why don't you?"

|βββββββββββ βΈβΈ βββββββββββ|
It was a quiet day. The birds were chirping outside, and cat's tails were gently flicking as the three of them stay laid down on the carpet or couches.
You were sitting on the couch with Taylor, side by side. Breakfast was just finished a while ago, and now the tv screen was alit, both of you watching a movie together.
But there had been something gnawing at you since the morning. Even though you felt steady, there was a feeling in the back of your mind that you couldn't quite put a name to.
You had your head rested against Taylor's shoulder, and she lets you play with her hands as she watches the movie, knowing your mind would stray off, or that you needed a distraction for something thats not your eyes.
She was focused as you looked up at her, completely engaged with the story of the film. How were you going to tell her about your off-putting mind? That was a battle to do already. Your lower lip has your teeth sinking in it, and slowly, you were stopping from fiddling with her fingers.
Instead, your arm goes around her stomach to embrace her and snuggle closer to her, your eyes going to the tv screen to see the scene of a conversation ongoing.
Noticing the small shift in your position, Taylor's eyes trail over to you as she tilts her head down. A noticeable movement of your thumb, going up and down on the side of her body had her lips raising up gently, but she couldn't tell if it was a mindless gesture such as tracing patterns, or a gesture that she should raise more concern for.
She analyzes your face carefully. Your eyes were looking at the tv, but not directly at the movie. You can feel her gaze, and it was one that held love and care. Of course, you knew you were completely safe with her, but you couldn't shake off the somewhat back seated anxiety going through your mind. It was definitely not her, and you weren't watching a horror or action movie, so what exactly was it?
It wasn't long before she decides to perhaps brush off her curiosity, and return to the movie. You sink into your seat on the couch slightly, ripping your gaze completely away from the screen. The feeling seemed to never go away, from the moment you woke up in bed. Your mind's always been far off in the distance whenever you stare at a completely random spot in the room.
With a decision made in your head, you put your hand on her shoulder, and gently move to sit in her lap. Taylor's smile was soft as she looks down at you, her hand going to your back to soothingly comfort you.
To think a position like this would work, especially with her hand's motion, it's still there. Since your head was rested on her chest, you couldn't see her, but she's taken her focus completely off the movie, wondering exactly what was going on with you.
With the feel of her steady heartbeat, right next to your ear, you contemplated telling her. Your cheek brushes against her shirt, feeling the soft fabric and her warmth radiating through.
After just a few more minutes, you gain just enough courage to talk to her, a gentle inhale going through you.
"...Tay?" Your voice calls out quietly into the room, pressing your head gently against her with a tilt towards her shoulder. You didn't really need to grab her attention. Her focus had been on you for a while, seeing your built up discomfort.
"Yeah, sweetheart?" she spoke softly, her gaze on you being everything gentle. You turned your head hesitantly, meeting her deep blue eyes. She searches your pupils, before her hand gently takes one of yours to intertwine your fingers.
Briefly, it was almost as if you were being wrapped by a warm blanket. She offers you a small smile, and her free hand goes to rest on the side of your thigh, giving a reassuring swipe with her thumb for you to continue.
"Do you ever feel calm...and overwhelmed...at the same time?" you whispered questionably. The movie was still playing in the background, but it was thankfully a quiet scene, so you can both hear each other for the moment. Taylor tilts her head, her eyes darting across your face in thought.
"I do...a lot actually," she replies, her eyebrows furrowing in concern as she looks into your eyes, but her gaze stays gentle.
"Do you know why?" You murmured, letting go of her hand and fiddling with the fabric of her shirt. It was a soft, cotton material. But you sigh, and bury your face in her shoulder instead.
Her curiosity grows at your question, but she hums softly, pulling you closer. "Usually its when I get a break after being busy," she explains, but it wasn't much of help to you, and she can feel it.
Of course. It could be the cause of overload, after dealing with everything for so long, its always possible to have a mix of feelings, even up to the point you won't know at all what you're feeling, and when you finally get a break, its all the worry of more things coming in to catch up to you while you're trying to rest. Even without the thought of work or anything else, the sense of unsafety is still possible to be present. There wasn't a single reason. But all you wanted was to get rid of it, especially when its like an itch you can't reach.
"Why?" She asks quietly, wrapping her arm around your shoulders as she lets you lean against her. She also pauses the movie with a click of the enter button on the tv remote, then looks back down to you.
When you didn't give a reply, she continues quietly, "...is that how you're feeling right now?" her tone is careful, and gentle, holding only concern for your wellbeing.
You bury your face in her neck. For the slightest bit, you move in a gentle nod, confirming her suspicions. At that, her other hand rubs your back lovingly, and her lips went to place a gentle kiss above your ear.
"I just hate that I don't have a reason for it," you whisper, seemingly slumping against her. She pulls back slightly, looking into your eyes. But she thinks about her words before she speaks again.
"You know...anxiety doesn't need to have a reason to poke at you...Its just there. Whether its a thought or just a feeling," she says, holding a gaze sympathetically. She then purses her lips and squeezes your shoulders lightly.
"Have you tried listening to your calming playlist?" She asks slowly, one of her hands moving to be on your cheek, while the other was on one of your knees, her thumb rubbing back and forth soothingly.
"Yeah..." You said gently, your mind growing lost in your thoughts as you tried thinking of ways to stop the feeling, but found none. Taylor was doing the same, but she had many ways in her mind.
She nods her head and leans back slightly to make eye contact with you before giving you her warm, reassuring smile. The blonde then gently leads you off the couch, moving to pull you down to the floor she's recently cleaned other than it having lingering small pieces of cat hair.
"Lay down, love," she says gently, and you look to her in slight confusion, but you lay down, your back flat against the wooden floor. Taylor moves to lay with her legs straight out, her head in your lap, just at your waist.
"What are you doing?" You asked with a gentle giggle, curiously watching her. She had moved your hand to put over your own heart, and you felt the slightly fast beating in your chest. You hadn't even realized it was going so fast.
Taylor closes her eyes and smiles peacefully, her voice steady and calm, "Just grounding you. Focus on the feeling of my head on your lap, and your hand over your chest...now, take deep breaths with me." She said soothingly and softly. You can feel the weight of her head in your lap, and she moves slightly with the movement of your stomach from your breathing.
You blink up for a moment, listening to her idea. The ceiling was white, having the movement of the ceiling fan. The breeze of the wind was lightly taking paths down on your skin and hair, like an invite to relaxation.
Soon, you start to slowly take gentle but deep breaths, inhaling deeply, and then exhaling slowly through your mouth, feeling the cool oxygen enter your lungs, and make its exit with warmth.
She was taking deep breaths herself with you, also needing to get the thoughts of her tour, albums, and simply just work and any stresses off her heart and chest.
The sounds that filled the room were quiet, giving a placid atmosphere. Breaths coming from two bodies that mold together with their souls, the sound of the curtains lightly moving from the open window.
Some birds can be heard chirping, their flying, ruffling the leaves of trees. You hadn't even noticed a window was open. The wooden floorboards made a small gentle creak with the small footsteps of Taylor's cats.
Just staying like this, simply for at least five minutes, not even ten, or twenty, you already felt that feeling you couldn't put a name to, slowly melting off your body with each breath that goes by.
As she feels your heartbeats align with hers, Taylor gently hums for a short moment. When she feels that you're stable enough, her hands find yours and gently squeezes, inviting you to squeeze back when you feel calm and ready.
You kept you eyes closed for now, still feeling the tiniest little bits of the odd feeling of heaviness in your heart and it raising back in rate at certain times, but it was slowly getting there, your shoulders relaxing as you focus on the warmth of her hands.
Soon, you gave a squeeze back, giving Taylor the signal, and she smiles. Not yet getting up though, she looks up at you from in your lap.
"Feeling more like yourself now?" Taylor asks, happy you seemed a lot more peaceful. Sure you were already calm, but it held no peace. She too, felt a lot lighter.
"Yeah...thank you." You whisper, helping her sit up when she gently pulls on your hand. When she felt your arms wrapped around her, she returns the embrace, laying a kiss at the top of your head.
It was quiet for a moment. But it was a silence that held warm love, contentment, and no longer the weird feeling you had. She lets the peaceful moment soak in for a bit before speaking again.
"Do you wanna finish the movie here, or do you wanna cuddle in bed?" She whispers, her voice gentle near your ear as she tries to peek at your face that was in between her chest and neck.
"...Cuddle in bed," you reply back quietly, your cheeks blushing the tiniest hint of pink, and she couldn't help but find it cute.
"Come on." Taylor gently pulls back from the hug, moving to stand up. You follow her, walking to your shared bedroom with your hands intertwined.
The rest of the day was spent with many many cuddles and kisses.
