Ada felt relief in having finally told the truth. She was actually surprised by how easy it had been and how the awkwardness of it was gone. “Of course. I’d never lie to you. It’s why I had to tell you.” Ada knew that Rose had a very complicated heart and a highly romanticized idea of love that worried Ada most of the time. “I know. I think we have to figure this out together. I promise it’ll be the best date ever.” Ada had no idea what it would be yet but she’d make sure it was a good one. If it was the only one they ever had, she’d make it memorable. “I can’t help it. I’ll be as patient as my mother. I’m glad I could be the first though now the expectations are higher than ever.” She grinned and moved to return the kiss to Rose’s cheek.

              ❝  YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME SOONER ,  i  know  it  hurts  to  keep  these  things  bottled  up ,  ❞  spoken  with  a  remorseful  tone ,  as  if  the  princess  is  apologizing  for  whatever  stress  she  might  have  caused .  the  last  thing  rosalie  wanted  was  for  the  brunette  to  suffer  because  of  her ,  or  even  suffer  at  all !   and  while  she  didn’t  really  have  any  other  dates  to  compare  it  too ,  she  knew  ada  would  come  up  with  something  special  ---  it  was  just  like  her  to .  giggling  when  the  other  girl  kissed  her  cheek ,  rose  felt  her  cheeks  become  red  with  warmth ,  lifting  her  free  hand  to  cover  one  of  them .  ❝  ada !  we  haven’t  even  been  on  our  date  yet  and  you’re  already  spoiling  me  with  kisses ...  i’m  afraid  i’ll  have  to  report  you  to  the  authorities !  ❞  she  jokes  dramatically ,  ❝  your  mom  is  the  most  patient  woman  i  know ...  you  won’t  have  to  be  like  that ,  i  swear .  and  i  don’t  want  you  thinking  about  expectations !  whatever  we  do  will  be  absolutely  wonderful ,  i’m  know  it !  don’t  even  worry  about  it ,  okay ? ❞

Hades’ lips twitched, a tug at the corner of them at the Aurora’s reply. He starred at her, puzzling over Maleficent’s intentions with this one. He shook his head briefly, interrupting the thought before he turned his head to look at the slender blonde girl.

His attention quickly returned back to the painting, jaw clenching rigidly. “I doubt that Lucifer cares that a mortal girl pities him-” he replied with a stern tone in his voice, letting a moment of silenced passed before he interrupted the quiet impatiently, “-but why do you think that?”

           THE WAY HER SYMPATHY IS QUICKLY  dismissed  by  the  god  causes  aurora  to  press  her  lips  together ,  sighing  through  her  nose .  she’s  not  ashamed  or  embarassed ,  he’s  made  it  painfully  obvious  time  and  time  again  that  beings  such  as  him  have  no  care  for  the  opinion  of  mortals  like  the  princess  herself ,  but  she  finds  the  whole  thing  rather  comical .  a  part  of  her  refuses  to  believe  that  hades  truly  doesn’t  care ;  after  all ,  how  can  anyone  simply  ‘ not  care ’ ?

             ❝  i  know  each  person  has  their  own  individual  interpretation  but ,  it’s  in  his  eyes ,  you  see ,  ❞   she  began ,  gesturing  towards  the  face  on  the  painting .  ❝  there  are  tears  in  his  eyes ,  of  both  anger  &  sadness .  he’s  been  shunned ,  cast  out  from  heaven ,  and  those  he  saw  as  his  equals  have  turned  against  him .  that’s  why  he  covers  his  face ;  he’s  ashamed ,  angry ,  devastated  all  at  once  and  worst  of  all ,  he’s  alone .  he  feels  betrayed ,  and  one  does  not  feel  betrayed  when  they  don’t  care .  when  you  lose  something  that’s  important  to  you ,  when  you  lose  everything ,   you  grieve .  you  feel  sad .  ❞

“  𝐈  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊  𝐈𝐓  𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐄  𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃  𝐃𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓.  you’re  very  strong,  rose.  the  strongest  flower  i  know.  exactly  !  give  a  few  days  if  you  need  but  you  should  talk  to  him.  ”    juliet  beamed  ,  golden  &  bright  as  always.    “  i  think  giving  him  gummy  butterflies  would  be  your  best  bet  instead  of  flowers.  time  travel  !  it’s  the  whole  premise  of  the  movie.  they  go  back  in  time  in  this  car  thingy  it’s  soooo  cute.  can  you  imagine  all  you  could  do  with  time  travel  ?  there’s  so  many  places  i’d  want  to  see.  i  mean  i’d  like  to  meet  my  parents  when  they  were  younger,  that  would  be  cool,  but  i  might  mess  up  the  timeline.  ”    she  rambled.  the  princess  always  let  her  thoughts  run  wild  whenever  she  got  over  excited  about  something.    “  I’ve  told  him  he’s  my  favorite  person  but  I  haven’t  told  him  I  love  him  yet.  it  feels  too  soon.  I  don’t  want  to  scare  him  away  if  he  doesn’t  feel  the  same  yet.  ”    she  had  grown  up  around  phoenix.  there  was  time  for  her  feelings  to  blossom  in  to  what  she  felt  currently  for  the  prince  of  bright  moon.  their  relationship  was  still  so  new.  the  princess  didn’t  know  if  phoenix  felt  the  same  as  she  did  love  wise.    “  ah  !  that  would  be  so  cute.  we  should  start  planning.  ”    she  squealed.    “  I  wouldn’t  be  surprised  if  benny  is  half  reptilian.  i  knew  it  !  with  a  name  like  that  seth  has  to  be  a  lizard  man.  ”    she  giggled.  Juliet  knew  who  kieran  was  but  she  had  only  heard  about  him  through  her  brother  ben  who  never  had  the  nicest  thing  to  say  about  kieran.  “  i’ve  seen  kieran  a  few  times.  he  grew  up  in  the  same  circle  of  friends  ben  did.  they  don’t  ….  really  get  along.  ben  kind  of  …  hates  him.  it’s  weird.  he  never  said  why  but  benny’s  weird.  i  think  it’d  be  best  if  i  didn’t  meet  kieran  because  of  that.  i’m  sure  he’s  very  lovely  but  i  don’t  think  ben  would  be  too  happy  with  me  befriending  him.  ”    it’s  not  that  juliet  needed  her  brother’s  permission  to  do  anything.  she  was  dating  phoenix  after  all  but  she  wasn’t  someone  who  likes  to  rock  the  boat  especially  with  her  brothers.

         THE PRINCESS’S CHEEKS TURN PINK  at  her  best  friend’s  compliments .  rosalie  knew  she  was  a  strong  person  or  at  least  liked  to  think  of  herself  as  one ,  but  there  was  something  different  about  hearing  it  from  someone  else ;  especially  from  someone  she  cared  so  much  about .  with  a  giggle ,  she  nodded  her  head  repeatedly ,   ❝  gummy  butterflies ,  noted !  i’ll  give  him  the  biggest  bag  i  can  find ,  and  also  get  one  for  you .  wait ,  there’s  a  car  that’s  a  time  machine ?!  ❞  her  eyes  widen  in  awe ,  unable  to  fathom  how  such  a  thing  could  exist  even  in  a  fictional  scenario .  still ,  it  brings  a  bright  smile  to  her  lips .  ❝  i  think  i’d  want  to  meet  my  parents  too ,  especially  mom !  i  think  she  felt  very  lonely  growing  up ...  wait ,  what  timeline ?  you  mean  as  in  change  the  present ?  ❞  it  all  sounded  far  too  complex ,  but  intriguing  nonetheless .  perhaps  liam  would’ve  had  any  easier  time  with  understanding  all  this .  as  juliet  brings  up  the  possibility  that  maybe  phoenix  isn’t  ready  to  hear  the  big  three  words  from  her ,  rosalie  shakes  her  head  dismissively ,  ❝  nonsense !  how  could  he  not  be  ready  to  hear  the  sweetest  words ?  plus ,  he’d  be  a  fool  not  to  feel  the  same  way  towards  you ,  juliet .  an  absolute  fool !  you’ve  known  each  other  for  an  awful  long  time ...  i  could  always  ask  aylin  to  investigate ,  if  you  wish .  ❞  after  all ,  rosalie  also  had  bright  moon  connections  of  her  own ,  &  she  knew  aylin  wouldn’t  deny  her  a  favor .  giggling  as  the  two  girls  conspired  about  their  own  brothers ,  she  inched  closer  as  if  to  tell  a  secret ,  ❝  do  you  think  i  might  be  a  lizard  person ,  too ?  i  mean ,  we  did  share  a  womb  !  granted  he  took  up  most  of  the  space  but ...  oh ,  maybe  it’s  a  height  thing !  from  papa’s  side  of  the  family .  i’ve  always  thought  uncle  florian  seemed  a  bit  reptilian - ish ,  ❞  she  confesses ,  shuddering  at  the  thought .  with  an  understanding  smile ,  the  princess  nods  as  her  best  friend  explains  why  befriending  kieran  might  not  be  the  best  idea .  while  rosalie  wished  it  wasn’t  the  case ,  she  couldn’t  force  juliet  into  it ,  nor  did  she  wish  to  cause  problems  in  her  family .  ❝  that’s  alright ,  yes .  well ,  we  can  still  have  bernie  &  venus  playdates ,  yes ?  i  only  hope  ben  hasn’t  taught  venus  to  smell  kieran  in  others  or  something ,  or  bernie  might  be  in  trouble .  ❞
