True!!! I didn't know If yall were going to keep the Canon version of Slade lying about his age but it's fair to assume he did the same thing here especially cause he is so young and I feel like he only told Lex and I want to say Amanda Waller but I feel like it would be one of those things where she knew the whole time and just never bothered to bring it up!! But poor Lex I can relate high-school sucks it isn't until like the junior or senior year that you're gaining some confidence but Lex definitely gained some when he graduated early and in college especially when he managed to be ivo lab assistant he must have thought "wow I can't wait for this it's so exciting" and then ivo worked him to the bone and now he tire and overworked

Now that I think about it do you think Lex tries to find out Slade's backstory like where he went to school and stuff like that I just have the funniest image of them making fun of each other yearbook photos

Slade: why am I not surprised you had braces

Lex: hey at least I didn't have a buzz cut!!!

Slade: at least I had a date for senior prom

Lex: I didn't go to prom prom for losers

Also, I have this headcanon that Slade just loves to go through Alex's stuff when he away

I can see the potential.

I would like to keep the idea that Slade lied about his age to join the military early in this version too. I can see him not actually graduating highschool rather just getting his GED. I can see Alex mentioning something negative about the idea of GEDs especially when it comes to their reputation unknowing that Slade has gotten his and considering him dumb because of it when he found out, assuming that Slade wasn't capable of graduating.

Alex was definitely socially awkward, introverted, but gifted. I can see him being in advanced classes and graduating early. Highschool was definitely not the best time for him.

Slade breaking in to sleep on Alex's couch has become one of my favorite concepts and for the most part I can see Slade just unofficially moving in with Alex. It gets to that level of frequentness to where it's kinda expected he'll just show up and over time what few personal items Slade keeps just appear in the apartment. It's subtle but there's no doubt that he lives there too.
