A Golurk, One Who's Weathered A Lot In Life... And Who, For The Most Part, Takes It All In Stride.

A Golurk, one who's weathered a lot in life... and who, for the most part, takes it all in stride.
This piece was inspired by some artwork made by the wonderful Taplaos—specifically, this collection of forgotten robots. Please give them a follow if you haven't already—their art is really cool, the sorts of colorful & expressive pieces I strive to make someday.

And now, two out-of-context warmup sketches—well, one out-of-context warmup sketch with two color palettes—based on something a friend on Discord shared today that got a laugh out of me.
Well, it seems that New Years has come again. Amazing how time flies, huh? I have a bit of a tradition with doing a New Year's Eve picture, so let's run through the ones I've done in the past, shall we? They're under the cut, because combined they're all rather tall.

And of course, I've done a new one for this New Years, though digital this time (Unfortunately, my old phone is still dead, and I didn't get a new one at Christmas). I'll let the suspense for it hang in the air a bit, though...

And there it is! Happy new year, everyone! Naturally, my resolution for the new year is to do more art, hopefully one new piece a week at minimum. And perhaps improve enough to feel confident selling my art... I know I'll need the money for a new phone at some point, the one I'm stuck using is less than ideal for photographing traditional pieces. And as a Tumblr-exclusive bonus, here's a timelapse!
(And if you're wondering where Ghostie's party hat went, let's say it fell into his spontaneous parachute bag 😜)

Self-care is important! Here we see Ica going through his usual diagnostic routine. Helps when, as a robot, you can check logs of how your various limbs were functioning to see if anything was off.
