I truly can't explain it but something about Percy & Poseidon's dynamic truly breaks me. Much more than Annabeth's relationship with Athena or Nico's with Hades. I can't explain it. I just think it's written so well.

Iike Poseidon is by no means a good father, but he clearly loves Percy. Every time he interacts with Percy, you can feel how much he wants to be there for Percy and the fact he can't makes me actually nauseous.

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON HIM BEING POSEIDON'S "favourite son" [DIRECT QUOTE 😭]

Or the fact he visited Percy when Percy was a baby even though he never should've for both their sakes *slams head repeatedly into knife*.

When someone asks what my favourite musicals are and I have to tell them it's 2 musicals that aren't even fully written yet, set in the ancient world, and my updates about them are primarily from tiktok...

Sooooo I’ve been looking for references for the Poseidon/Odysseus/Zeus sandwich and… I don’t know, guys… I can’t imagine Odysseus being between them and NOT looking absolutely terrified. Not having Odysseus enjoy it… IT MAKES IT SO DISTURBING, GUYS! Right now, I’m going to have the one in the middle be an anonymous figure, and if I get the mental strength to draw Odysseus instead, I’ll give you guys a heads up.
