I might be rushing just a tiny bit but I finished an editing pass and a chapter cut today, so boop, here's a new release!

"Song of War" - Poetry for Megs

Written as a poem for Megatron to claim authorship of in one of my possibly way too many stories. I'm working on a Cybertronian translation to then sing and turn it into an alien song \o/ we'll see how that turns out. If it sucks, I ain't posting it sorry XD

Oh, the tonal Sound

that reaches ever deep;

across the mires of Death’s decay,

and through the inner guard;

I hear your call, old friend;

once more we sound the beat,

and rev the engines loud;

the chorus to your Song;

Oh, the tonal Sound

the same in victory or defeat;

the difference only stemming,

from who listens and who Sings

I hear your call, my friend;

the sound of war and grief;

and never I shall ever hear,

a Song so bittersweet.

Oh, the tonal Sound

that haunts and clings and seeps,

of Sparks' harmonics ended,

Songs of War, made from their notes.

Oh, truly am I wretched

for I love to hear the Song

that reaches ever deep;

HAMMER (NAP)TIME

I'm not saying that I'm ridiculous and goofy enough i gave the very special hammer a very special storage place for while not in use

But it now has its home to stay and i figured out what to do with my tiny beaver pelt.

But i giggle like the dork i am because i realized it's also a symbolic pun and it's perfect.

The blade tucked there with it was a gift from a friend, it reminds me of fun stories and pleasant memories.

i am so excited to (carefully) drag this thing outside and hammer some metal. I've got a modest pile of a range of scrap metal grades to practice with and some good steel knife blanks to pound out once I've found my rhythm

I am so stoked. Made sure to call my friend and thank him for helping make this possible.

That unassuming looking railroad tie is my anvil \o/ it makes the most lovely harmonic when you tap it. Just. Mmmmm. Music of the forge bby.

Maaaan that coal pile is dusty. Been a while since I've lit the coal.

I feel the hammer needs a name and so help me I'm struggling not to settle on "THIS HAMMER" help

I have way too much fun writing Soundwave. He's such an interesting character.

Anyhow, I tried a thing and I was deeply entertained by it, so like the toddler I am inside I'm shoving it onto my blog to show off

Soundwave: asked to deliver communications in readable format.

Communications: 

There’s a pause. A pause long enough you have to wait for the next series of words to appear, and you can’t tell if he’s just taking that long to prepare it or if he has some other reason to hang up--

His screen goes blank, then new text appears, utterly filling his screen as you raise your optic ridges, and start reading.

Holy scrap.

Your cooling fans kick up a few notches, probably loud enough to draw attention, but no-one comments as you cover your mouth with a hand, speechless.

Rumble: says Lightshow is as nice as she is pretty. Rumble: has promised not to cause seismic tremors when Lightshow is present, out of consideration for Lightshow’s sensitive circuitry. Soundwave: highly doubts but is hopeful. Frenzy: says Lightshow is the coolest mech he’s met outside 

of the arena. Frenzy: says Lightshow

should accept job posting.
