It's a toss up on if it's more the visual of seeing their "home nest" rather than scent that they'll follow, but cripes if I haven't watched my parrots sus out hidden things there's no way they knew were there except by scent.

Either way, people have had their birds find their way home the same way.

(also an exception for not being art, but this is important, so I'm sharing it on both my blogs <3)

The things that I spend hours and hours and hours writing that very few if anyone else ever sees; ya'll see the finished result in published chapters :3

Not -all- my stories have plot docs, but most of them do (read: once the story gets long enough I can't healthily re-read it in one sitting before writing new chapters)

Gladiators of Kaon had a plot doc like. i m m e d i a t e l y because I knew I was gonna dig in super deep into the nitty gritty of ecology and politics and the geography of the land, so keeping my shit straight so I didn't fuck up details as the story gets longer is a must.

Someday I might get around to actually properly organizing this monster of random author notes but in the mean time pattern within the chaos is my vibe ~@~
