I was the “I am a god above all others but also why don’t people like me” neurodivergent

As a child were you the “I’m an alien and I don’t understand human things” neurodivergent or the “I’m not supposed to be here I’m actually supposed to get whisked away to another world where I’m the chosen one” neurodivergent

I learned that I have trauma around substance abuse thanks to a larry stylinson fanfiction so… doing great here

i hate it when fanfictions just make me realize stuff about myself that i knew subconsciously but always repressed lol like right now, really? in the middle of a 100k words, fluff, slow burn, hurt/comfort fic?

shoutout to autistic people who have special interests in outdated or unusual pop culture.

your special interests don’t need to be accepted by other people in order to be valid. they don’t need to contribute to capitalism in order to be valid.

you shouldn’t be ashamed of a special interest that doesn’t make sense to other people for whatever reason.

the important thing is that they bring you joy and comfort. the important thing is that they are a part of you that you can love and appreciate and take pride in!
