This exactly how I've always framed it, and when I was younger adults would tell me 'stop complicating it and just answer the question!', but I never would unless I knew whether the glass was in the process of being filled or empty. To me it just sounded like the most logical way to approach the question.

I find it kind of stupid how 'half full' vs 'half empty' is framed as an optimist/pessimist thing. If it starts full and gets halfway drained, it's half empty. If it starts empty and gets halfway filled, it's half full. If you don't know the starting state it's both simultaneously.

Tumblr, what the hell is wrong with you? Music that people put in posts don't autoplay- those stay muted. But every god damn ad with weird audio autoplays at full volume and I have to manually mute that ad, just to find another one farther down that starts playing well before it's actually on my screen. So I can't even listen to music while scrolling tumblr. Lame.
