AITA for beating my friend to near death?

I know it sounds bad, and I still feel really guilty about it, but I feel as if I should give some background as to what caused me to do it. I live in a world called the unconscious, and in this world, my species is able to absorb this black goop called Nightmare Fuel. The Nightmare Fuel gives us strength and the ability to morph our bodies into massive sizes, but it comes at the cost of our temper and our ability to control that strength. This fuel originates from a tower that sits on the edge of the world, across from my bakery. So one day, the angel in charge of the tower and second in command of the nightmares (creatures made of nightmare fuel) comes to me while I'm working in my bakery with my friends G and S. He then tells us that he plans on releasing the creator and king of Nightmares from his grave and destroying the unconscious. So, my friends and I set off to save the other members of my species and collect enough nightmare fuel to stop him. Here's where I might be the AH. So, on each floor, my friend S would collect the members of my species that I saved, and in exchange, he would open up the gate to fight one of the Nightmare Guardians that ran their respective floor of the tower. On floor 4, I had already absorbed a metric fuckton of nightmare fuel, and I had collected every dream creature I could, yet that smug little shit of a hay filled scarecrow still wouldn't let me past, even when I showed him that there were no more to be collected. So naturally, I became pissed, and I beat the stuffing out of him until he begged for mercy and opened the door.

Sorry, I lost myself again.

My friend G doesn't think that I'm the AH since I couldn't control myself or my emotions in that state. But I still feel horrible for what I did to him, and now he won't even talk to me because he's so scared of me. So, AITA?

During my Tumblr radio silence I was working on my part for @pizza-tower-jekyll-and-hyde-au ‘s MAP! Considering how I haven’t animated in ages, or animated a human in general, this was a fun challenge and I enjoyed every second of it! I regret not saving the time I spent on this, but it was like four and a half days lol. Anyways enjoy! And check out the MAP, as there’s still some unclaimed spots.

AITA for sleeping?

I (???, cat) am a wizard cat whose whole job is to watch people put little papers in a box. Since I’m a cat, I like to nap a lot. I’m supposed to keep track of who puts in papers, but a lot of people keep putting in the papers when I’m asleep, causing their messages to be read as anonymous.
