sat on the sand, elbows resting on his knees, a neatly rolled joint was held lightly between julian's index and middle finger, taking a long drag before holding it out to the boy next to him. there's a comfortable silence, enjoying the cool evening air and the view of the sun setting on the horizon. it's picturesque, the way the sky blends with the water and the two mirror each other. "i know that people paint pictures based off real life or whatever," he muses, never being good at 'silence' anyway. "but this literally looks like someone painted it. or am i just high ?"

camden straightens up, wiping the back of his hand across his forehead, which only manages to smear the grease further. but it's a state most are used to seeing him in. he gives knox a lopsided grin, eyes bright but with a hint of fatigue hidden behind them. " you know me, man, never quite knew how to give up on things. " things, people. he's a fixer, and while it had began through circumstance, it was now through nature. " besides, i think this beauty's got a few more lives to lead just yet, " he adds, slapping the side of the old engine. " what brings you in ? finally do some damage to that ride of yours ? "
