Nothing really, but I really could go for some chocolate.

Coffee or tea?

Between those two? Tea. Coffee is awful. If I ever have some it’s like 4% coffee and 96% whatever else I can put in it to make it sweeter. I love to relax with a cup of tea and the herbs and spices they have in it can have so many health benefits, and all you need to do is put in a spoonful of honey to make it sweeter. ^_^

Besides way too much fanfic, nothing at the moment. But I've been meaning to listen to the audiobook for Wraith Squadron because that's one of my favorite Star Wars books and since Iron Fist just came out today, maybe I'll start that. Yub yub.

I'm rewatching TBB and I'll give the Acolyte a shot when it comes out tonight but otherwise, nothing

With so much of the news cycle focused on the crackdowns on American universities, I wanted to post news out of Palestine today:

This is how I learned that Orthodox Christians paint their Easter eggs red, not the pastel I'm used to. The number of Christians in Gaza is tiny and shrinking fast during this genocide.

The person posting this, Hossam Shabat, is one of the last journalists in north Gaza. He's 21 years old and has already see more despair than most people will in a lifetime.

All universities in Gaza have been destroyed, and thousands of students and hundreds of professors killed.

Congrats to this family and best wishes to young Haron. He has big shoes to fill.

Please have a moment of silence for the people who were killed instead of freed when news of emancipation finally reached the furthest corners of the american south.

have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.

and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.

black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.

if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
