I Made The Horrible Mistake Of Going In Tiktok And Checking Out The Gwynriel Tag And--why Is There So

I made the horrible mistake of going in tiktok and checking out the gwynriel tag and--why is there so much hate going on with Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie?

I saw a tiktok that said how stupid it had been for the three of them to win the blood rite instead of the illyrians simply because the girls hadn't trained for as long as the others? There were people saying they hated ACOSF

This is stupid. They won the rite because they had each other, because when they started training, they did it knowing together and they overcame not only physical challenges but mental challenges too.

The three of them are a perfect example of surviving your worst nightmare. It was shown in different ways the kind of trauma a woman can go through and the fact that people are not recognizing just how beautiful that is, is shocking.

I love the valkyries more than I love the inner circle. I love the females they are becoming and I love the fact that their journey to heal became my own journey.

I am the rock against which the surf crashes. Nothing can break me.

Nothing can break us.

I agree with you a hundred percent but for me Nesta had no redemption arc because she didn't do anything to need a reception arc.

Yes, she allowed Feyre to go out in the forest but we forget she was also a girl.

Yes, she behaved badly with Feyre but then when Fayrw went back to the human realms during ACOTAR, Nesta received her and was a good sister to her.

Yes, she spent a lot of money in taverns but it was because she was falling down a spiral of self-harm.

If anything, the only thing I saw was how Nesta started healing and then fell down and then healed more.

Also v interesting that nesta needed a redemption arc but Cassian - who killed a village - didn’t need redemption, Rhys - who contributed to Amarantha’s 50 years of tyranny - didn’t, or Feyre - who helped destabilise an entire court on the cusp of war, putting countless innocents at risk - didn’t need redemption either

I'm listening to the graphic audio of A Court Of Silver Flames and let me tell you that it is not for the weak of heart.

Okay, but the faebane doesn't make sense at all? Like, if it made sense I'm sure Tamlin would have been "Imma stick this" and then just...do it? I don't even know if what I'm saying makes sense because this doesn't make sense!

But, because I am an intellectual person, let's talk about it this way so maybe ewriels can understand:

Faebane was meant to kill fae. Grab the word KILL. Capture it, picture it, own it.

What does killing mean? Cease to exist. Gone. Done for. Bye bye.

BUT WHAT DOES THIS ACTUALLY MEAN?

Based on Elriels, the reason why Elain and Azriel weren't mated was because of the ash arrow and the faebane (That's a double kill by the way) so what they are saying is that they were mates but the faebane stopped the process.

But the only thing faebane stops is life (that means death)

So (and I don't believe this theory even for a second) let's say that Elain and Azriel were mates (my chest hurt when I said that) but then the faebane struck Azriel, it killed the mating bond and almost killed Az. In this scenario, the mating bond is done anyway so in any scenario, his bond can snap in place with someone else.

Elucien will still happen, same thing with Gwynriel.

My head hurts trying to keep up with this theory ugh.

Call me a hater, I literally don’t care because I am one but this new Elriel theory of the faebane is going the run in course like all Elriel theories do. They have to come up with new theories once a week cause nothing actually fits their narrative.

Unlike us gwynriels who have had the same theories since the beginning of time.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Here's the thing:

It doesn't matter who you ship, and I'll be very clear about this: You are not entitled to be a horrible human being with someone who disagrees with your ship. Be it Gwynriel or Elriel or Elucien or the underwear of you nonna, you are not allowed to become a despicable human being simply because someone says "Your ship is not happening."

The toxicity of this fandom is reaching a new limit and it seems that people are forgetting that these books are for entertainment. They are not real. AND even if they were real, you are not excused for your awful behaviour.

It doesn't matter who Azriel ends up with. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO HE END UP WITH. He is part of a book. A BOOK. YOU ARE BEING AWFUL TO REAL HUMANS, TO REALITY.

If I were SJM I would kill Azriel just to teach people a lesson.

Gwynriels, elriels, eluciens, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU SHIP

Be respectful and stop shaming yourselves in the internet. Once you post something you can't delete it, and even worse, once you hurt someone, you can't take it back.

I'm over this toxicity.
