I Just Love The Fact That Five Is Such A Typical Old Man. Like He Was So Eager To See The Biggest Ball

I just love the fact that Five is such a typical old man. Like he was so eager to see the biggest ball of twine and just go on a road trip to see probably incredibly mundane things. How much he craves to just live a normal life without having to save the world. If he was in the right body, at least. I can't imagine him living without his powers, an old man stuck as a child, is going to go well. He's going to end up getting into trouble he can't get out of. Or end up in school. I don't know what's worse for him

“See, now you’re getting it.” Cooperative, Jordi could appreciate that. He wasn’t in the mood for a foot race, and wasting too much time could lose him his target anyway. He needed to figure out where that little snake slithered off to, and what better way than with the hacker that scared him off in the first place?

Stepping closer to her again, he gestured with the gun for her to start walking, down the alley. His car was waiting at the end, just out of sight but close enough they could get in quick without any drawing any suspicion, “What I was doing,” the slight inflection of irritation was shot back to combat the bit of bite she seemed to have in her tone, “isn’t the point. What you’re going to do is track down the man I lost because of your little fucking show. Preferably before the fucker decides he wants to skip town. I have obligations here that I can’t be too far from for too long.”

Never a dull moment anymore. It was just supposed to be a quick job, one that wouldn’t take him too far from the sad sack of shit he was keeping locked up. It had even been on his way to get lunch. But now, he was set back hours, maybe even days. They really didn’t have much time to debate. 

“You find my guy, he gets a bullet between the eyes, and just maybe I’ll let you go and forget the whole thing. Got it?”

“Neat little trick, huh?” Giving her a chance to completely survey her surroundings allowed Jordi the delightful element of surprise, letting this young person’s mind wander and assume the worst before he fully showed his hand. Was she naive to think no one would follow or notice her? Or was that the sort of confidence that came in most of these self proclaimed “hacktivists” these days?

Jordi stepped out from beside the nearest building, holding his gun out pointed at her. There was a slight smile on his face, as well as the humor in his voice, but his eyes remained solely on her. The trained eyes of a man on a mission, and he was about as determined as they come. 

“Special little thing I picked up from a rain cloud who knows your type well. Effective, definitely keeps you from getting any funny ideas - now, step away from the railing,” with his other hand, Jordi pointed to the side, gesturing for her to move so that she didn’t have any funny ideas or try to escape, “You and I are just gonna have a little chat. ‘Kay?”
