1- a little bit literal minded, clarifies when he is using figurative language or literal language. 2- polite. 3- laments when the enemy refuses to learn, tries to give them advice when he scores a kill. 4- emotionally perceptive of others and cares very much for the psychological wellbeing of his teammates. 5- willfully misinterprets threats from Zarya, offers her kindness and compassion. 6- doesn’t raise his voice or get easily angered. 7- as far as I can tell, he doesn’t feel superior to anyone around him and prefers to be on equal footing with the people around him. 8- is always happy to be with Genji. 9- wants to help Hanzo but Hanzo doesn’t want to listen. 10- knows about movies and has a favorite actor, probably encountered them through Genji. 11- misses Mondatta. 12- sasses the enemy Zenyatta when he gets discorded. 13- sasses people in general when they get defeated by him, but in an extremely polite way.

Conclusion:

He is a kind and powerful person who wants to be a shoulder for people to cry on, reacts to vitriol with kindness, and wants to help on an interpersonal level. He experiences the same range of emotions that anyone else does and even when he’s angry he is still polite. He doesn’t get angry very often, just disappointed. He is considerate of anyone who might not understand his figurative language, and is always happy to travel with Genji.

“The answer is obvious, because the answer is what I’ve done,” Elias held his hands to the side as he sat back, the wide smile spread clear across his face, “Aiming for the impossible is the life I chose serving my chosen benefactor. Its what we all choose. Aiming for the impossible doesn’t mean it can not be reached. To die accepting that I can’t? Unacceptable. Just look around at all I’ve done, all that I’ve accomplished.”

The world outside was screaming, delighting beings the humans suffering couldn’t even begin to understand. The sheer level of rising fear was a delight to all of those on the top. The watchers, as they were, could see all and know all, as the watched suffered their deepest, darkest fears. 

“Aim for the moon, but land among the stars, hm?” Elias just gave a low laugh, folding his hands across his lap again, “The Eye is pleased. I have done the impossible.”

Day to day

He arrives with the sun rising behind the clouds as the morning begins. Hand grazing along the frame of the door as he opens it for the day. The first few researchers, as well as Rosie who works the front desk, would arrive within the hour to start their day. Until then, the institute stood quiet and looming.

The building itself was never very obvious, a simply built structure with an unassuming story. Most of the denizens of London barely gave it a second glance, many writing off the paranormal has nothing more than simple stories we tell to freak each other out. Even less had a favorable view of the Institute ever since they had files leak years ago. It took some long years to build up their reputation again, but it seemed they had gotten somewhere at least where they were invisible once more. 

Invisible, the ceaseless watcher observing from the shadows, as it always had. Beholding the world and all it tried to hide. 

Elias paused in the stairwell before heading up to his office. He didn’t have to focus for very long, gazing down those stairs into the basement. Into his archives. He knew his Archivist was down there starting early as he tended to do these days, trying to organize an impossible mess his predecessor had left for him. He was determined, Elias had to hand that to him. potential shown bright in him, and the Eye was certainly pleased. Afraid as he might have been, as he might have tried to hide, he pressed on. 

The smile spread far across his cheeks, lifting to his eyes as Elias turned to ascend further, “Another day, another statement, eh Jon?” he simply chuckled to himself as he headed to prepare for the day. There was some more filing to be done. 

|| "He won" doesn't mean Jonah got what he wanted, even though I believe right now he did. Jon told Martin not long ago that if it came down to it, the fight would depend on who the Eye chose since both Jon and Jonah feed off its power.

Jonah won because the eye chose him. And honestly, Jon could probably cut himself off from it and it wouldn't even matter. Jonah Magnus already won it's favor. The fight was over long before it began.

A FOOL: elias is grey and boring! 

ME, A GENIUS: ohhh (nodding nodding) yeah i get it, grey elias (nodding) no yeah i understand

For Elias: what do you do on your spare time? Do you HAVE spare time? What happens between all the scheming? Tea?

"Tea is a given. Especially considering a certain archival assistant who keeps a pot on at all times in the break room," Elias leaned forward on his desk, lacing his fingers together as he gently tapped his thumb against the other hand, "I'm a very busy man, as you may guess. This institute has a great many people coming and going at all times of day. The staff is large, with the most of them working in research. Between all the paperwork and scheduling, my time is spent keeping an eye on those who work for me. Typically, I can only watch one department at a time, but none need as much attention as the archives."

At that, he tilted his head to one side, his eyes pointing down to the ground, to the floor and below. He listened intently for a moment before the grin spread across his face, a brief flash before straightening his shoulders again, "Spare time is spent serving a higher power. And keeping a certain someone on the right path. There's no need for anything else. Though," he held a finger up, a thought occuring to him, "Peter does pop up now again to chat. He's at least the more tolerable of the lot of frightful servants."
