Pisses me off when some products are designed exclusively for children. like I'm not saying we should get RID of stuff designed for kids, but why can't there ALSO be fruit snacks for the working adult. You know. Squeezy apple sauce pouches that say "Yes Debra, I am twenty-six years old and eating an apple sauce pouch on the train as it is a convenient, spoonless, healthy snack, and I refuse to be ashamed of that, goddamnit." Popsicles that say on the stick "FUN FACT: Remember to renew your passport at least 7-9 months ahead of the expiry date, as many countries will not let you travel if you have less than 6 months of validity left." Do you see my vision.

There's something hilarious about how so much subsequent media has positioned Vampires and Werewolves as, like, binary opposite entities, and then you read Dracula (1897) and realize that wolves are that guy's preferred solution to every problem. You'd say something to Dracula about "ah yes, werewolves, vampires' great eternal enemies," and he'd just be like "you mean my subcontractors?"

The pastoralist fantasy of "modern life is too stressful so I should move to a remote area and do hard labor" is so funny

I think about pokemon in non-battle situations a lot. Like pokemon who have been trained/raised to be helpers and assistants than to be battle partners.

Pokemon visiting hospitals to cheer patients up like dogs and cats do. Or ones that help kids learn to read, speak, swim, go through therapy?! Even pokemon who’s abilities help owners with specific disabilities?!

I love thinking of pokemon outside of battle situations.
