Selkies are part of Scottish Mythology They are seals, but can shed their “seal skin” and take the form of a beautiful young woman. They are usually ( from what I’ve heard/read) taken by men and forced into marriage with them, they are able to put their “seal skins” back on I believe

Wooooooo I'm on a roll, I've been drawing elves all day and these are my favorites I tried on calligraphy, I have a calligraphy pen, so I tried and failed A little info on these gals: Morianar Greenleaf- my elf oc, her name means Dark Sun. Niquiel Greenleaf- belongs to @iceshadow19 - her name means Daughter of Snow (I think). Quellë: she is the child of Kili and Tauriel, her name and design are both based around me, cause @iceshadow19 keeps saying I could be their child- she's not a real oc, just a fun little thing I wanted to draw.
