I wrote some rough drafts of my Sasuke/Female OC story on Ao3 but honestly, I wish I left out the smut. Keeping things PG-13 would be more in the spirit of Kishimoto's story. Also, I don't know what mood I was in when I envisioned Itachi and Chiasa together but oh well, I'll keep it up since the readers liked it.
Separation (Sasuke x Female OC)
Just some snippets of how I'd see Sasuke and Chiasa separating go:
Sasuke is on the bridge where Danzo’s corpse lays. Chiasa has caught up to him there. He’s surprised to see her. He asks her why she’s come here. Chiasa says that she’s seen visions of Sasuke doing horrific things.
She no longer wants to find redemption for herself, all she wants is for Sasuke to not go down this path. She sees now that it’s not leading to anywhere good.
{insert something here that Chiasa says}
“Abandoning his vengeance won’t make things right. Only seeking out retribution will.”
“But at what cost? Sasuke, you’ll never be the same person again if you keep being an avenger. Don’t do this.”
“I won’t let Itachi’s sacrifice go unpunished. I will dole out the retribution upon Konoha that it deserves when I kill every last person in that wretched village.”
Chiasa is horrified. But she keeps reaching out to Sasuke, who in her mind seems to be slipping away before her eyes with each second. “What can I say to you to get you to stop this?”
“Don’t you see Chiasa, this is the redemption I told you about. I’m about to write a terrible wrong and purify the Uchiha’s name. This is how I’ll finally restore their name. No, even more than restore it, I will revive its name when I…{insert something about striking dread into everyone’s hearts when he displays the power of the Uchiha as he destroys Konoha for good}. And with you by my side, this redemption can be shared between us. We’ll finally be free of our pasts and free to create together a future for ourselves.”
“I wanted to believe that my visions were wrong. But they weren’t. This is really who you’ve become. You’ve fallen into darkness Sasuke.
Sasuke looks frustrated by her words. They sound so reminiscent to what his old team members used to say about his goals. This is something he doesn’t want to hear coming from Chiasa. “I don’t want to hear you speak about falling into darkness anymore. I’ve heard this before from others before you already Chiasa and I severed them from my life. Don’t you do the same thing. You’re different from them.”
With tears in her eyes Chiasa pleads to Sasuke “But how can I not? This is scaring me Sasuke. I can’t stay by your side anymore. This is a path I can’t follow with you anymore.”
This infuriates Sasuke. “Why are you choosing the side of people you don't even know!?”
Because they've done nothing wrong! They’re ignorant about a shameful secret but that’s no fault of there’s. They wouldn’t see your destruction as retribution, they’d only see it as terror released upon them. Don’t become the monster you used to swear you’d devote your life to killing!”
Sasuke walks over to her. He stares at her with an intensity.
“No one will get in the way of my vengeance.”
Chiasa stares back at him with an intensity of her own.
“I won't be intimidated Sasuke. I’m going to stand beside your home village and protect them from your wrath. I hope you’ll come to your senses. But if this is where our paths diverge, so be it.” And with that Chiasa walks away from Sasuke.
[setting: unnamed forest]
Chiasa initially was walking but as if to escape her feelings of sadness she breaks out into a run. So lost in her torrent of emotions, she barely notices another girl passing her by, who is running in the opposite direction. This girl is Sakura, running to catch up to Sasuke. Though it won’t be a reunion she expected. Sakura’s reunion-unfortunately for her-goes the way of canon.
A Meeting is Called (Sasuke x Female OC)
Like in canon Ay calls for a 5 kage summit meeting and he sends Kumo nin to Konoha requesting info on Sasuke. (Forgot to mention this in the previous post but those two Kumo nin came across the battle just like in canon and recognized Sasuke’s Uchiha insignia on his clothing.) Except this time there’s more tension as Ay believes that Sasuke killed Killer Bee (*Killer Bee is just playing hooky like he did in canon).
This arc plays out mostly the same as canon did: Sasuke infiltrates the kage summit, Zetsu reveals his whereabouts, Sasuke fights the 5 kage, he kills Danzo and is ready to go back to Konoha to kill everyone.
The differences I’m adding are more character related. For one, Chiasa doesn’t join Sasuke. In this fanon, Sasuke stays affiliated with the Akatsuki. He’s learning from Tobi how to tap into the power of the MS, and in particular how to use Susanoo. Around the time of Pain’s defeat and Danzo becoming the stand-in hokage, Tobi finally lets Sasuke in about what’s going on. Sasuke is shocked to hear that Konoha has been destroyed but like in canon he’s adamant to set out and kill Danzo. Tobi tells him that he can teleport Sasuke to Danzo’s whereabouts which is in the Land of Iron, as Danzo is attending a kage summit meeting (This was Tobi’s plan, he wants Sasuke to not only kill Danzo but refine his MS and hopefully take a few kages hostage, as in canon.)
So Sasuke heads out on his own and he tells Tobi to give Chiasa a message, explaining where he’s gone and telling her to wait at the hideout for him to return. When Chiasa wakes and is looking for Sasuke, Tobi tells her where he’s gone and tells her Sasuke’s message to her.
Alone Chiasa divines Sasuke’s current predicament as she’s concerned for him. She’s horrified to see him slaughtering the samurai at the kage summit. This vision makes up her mind to set out to the Land of Iron after Sasuke. But she’s intercepted by Zetsu (whose clone brings Tobi). Tobi tells her in a cruel tone that he thought he made it clear that she was to stay put. But Chiasa has made up her mind that she’s leaving.
Tobi says something like if she makes another step/crosses that line, she'll be an enemy of the Akatsuki. She contemplates the implications of what this means for her but still crosses it. Tobi thinks of killing her right there but decides not to because he thinks that Sasuke is still too fond of her, Sasuke still hasn’t sunken into enough darkness yet.
As Chiasa is speedily traveling to the Land of Iron, she occasionally uses her divination to glimpse at what Sasuke is doing. That’s how she sees things like Sasuke using Susanoo to have the ceiling drop on everyone, him attacking the 5 kage, and him fighting and killing Danzo.
Akatsuki Hideout (Sasuke x Female OC)
Chiasa is resting (There’s a sentimental scene previous to this that I haven’t thought up yet that goes over Chiasa’s first awakening) and Sasuke is talking to Tobi. He’s preparing to have Itachi’s eye implanted to replace the eye that is now blind. Tobi asks Sasuke what he’s about to do now that he believes the truth about Itachi. He asks if he plans to kill Danzo and the elders. Sasuke says that not only will he kill the elders but his vengeance will fall on all of Konoha as well. His reasoning is the same as it was in canon.
Something new I’m adding is that they talk about Sasuke using Izanagi for Chiasa. Tobi says that he’s surprised Sasuke would give up his sight-not knowing that he could regain it at the time-for her. She must be very important to him. Sasuke says nothing to this but he does have an uncharacteristic softness to his expression. Tobi-picking up on this-asks him if he thinks Chiasa might be a weakness for him that may get in the way of his plans. To this, Sasuke says something that’s a callback to the “proposal” he made to Chiasa when he asked her to join him. “Where I go, she will go. Her place is by my side, always.” Tobi’s shocked to hear such a blatant confession of Sasuke’s feelings. This irritates him as he finds Chiasa to be a potential hindrance.
As Sasuke’s eyes are closed as he waits to get his brother’s eye implanted, he thinks about Chiasa first and then Itachi. It’s in this darkness (his eyes are closed) that the narrative reveals that Sasuke loves Chiasa. As he thinks back to the memory of her almost dying, a phantom anguish surges through him. His fear of losing her was more overwhelming, more intense than anything he had ever been through. Without her, Sasuke knows his world would collapse into an abyss of loneliness and rage. A world without her was unbearable. He had always been driven to pursue power because of a need for vengeance, but now that drive was fueled by something even more potent: the need to protect Chiasa, to never feel so helpless again.
His thoughts then turn to Itachi. Initially he didn’t want his brother to see the vision of vengeance he planned to create but now Sasuke wants to see the world through his brother’s eyes, to feel the pain he endured. He feels his brother sacrificed everything for a village that didn’t deserve his loyalty. Itachi bore his burden alone and now it’s Sasuke’s to carry. He will avenge Itachi, he’ll make everyone pay.
Post Itachi Reveal (SasukexFemale OC)
This is the next arc. As with the other arcs, there are gaps in the outline but it's enough to follow the story.
Bone Graveyard
It's Chiasa who Sasuke talks to in the bone graveyard about the same things he spoke about in Canon. (Except for the discussion about implanting Itachi's eyes; Tobi will bring that up later.) She does talk to him about not trusting Tobi and the Akatsuki and Sasuke agrees.
He asks Chiasa if she can divine if there's any truth to what Tobi told him. She's able to divine the people who can do that; some are dead, others are in Konoha, and then there's Kisame. That's why when they meet up with Tobi and Zetsu, Sasuke says that he wants to speak to Kisame. (Tobi asks him why, Sasuke says it's because he can help verify what he was told). Tobi tells him that he's on his way to the land of lightning to capture the 8 tails. “Is that so?” Sasuke says. But Tobi encourages this-much to Chiasa's suspicion. He says that it will be easier to have a discussion with Kisame because the Konoha villagers would just outright attack Sasuke and leave no room for discussion.
So Sasuke and Chiasa set out. Meanwhile Tobi and Zetsu discuss what they talked about in Canon with the addition of wondering why Sasuke is so sure that Kisame can verify the truth of what he was told. They deduce that it must be because of Chiasa. They express their alertness over the possible hindrance that Chiasa could be.
Via the hologram jutsu, Tobi reveals to Kisame who he is and tells him that Sasuke and his companion are on the way. He expects Kisame to not undo all of what he has stirred to life in Sasuke. Kisame says he won't but internally he thinks of Itachi and decides that he’ll just be truthful with Sasuke.
Killer Bee Fight
Kisame fights Killer Bee and appears to lose. Sasuke and Chiasa come across him ‘dying’. (Sasuke pushed Killer Bee back with a massive fire jutsu. While the flame barrier is easy for Killer Bee to evade, he watches silently, analyzing the new situation.) Sasuke tells Kisame that he was told the truth behind his brother. He asks Kisame if this truth is real. Kisame’s response is not about the coup-since Itachi never told him-but about some words Itachi once said that seem to make sense now.
Whatever Kisame says (I haven’t thought up the exact words yet) greatly affects Sasuke and leaves him certain that it was the truth Tobi told him. Kisame ‘dies’, Sasuke’s anguish is reignited, and Killer Bee starts to question him. He wants to know if Sasuke and Chiasa are allies of Kisame-and thus the Akatsuki.
Chiasa says they aren't but Killer Bee doesn't seem convinced since Sasuke seemed to talk to Kisame rather familiarly. Sasuke-whose emotional wounds have just been reopened again-says that he’s rather irritated right now and if Killer Bee decides to start something, he doesn't think he can hold back. Sasuke egging Killer Bee on because he wants to vent his rage is basically what starts the fight.
The fight against Killer Bee is at first just Sasuke solo (Sasuke just jumps into the battle and initiates the first attack). Unlike in Canon, Sasuke keeps up with Killer Bee’s swordplay. As Killer Bee dons his tailed beast cloak and goes from 1-5, his dangerousness increases. By this point Chiasa joins the fight.
Killer Bee grows the 6th tail. The increase in level is incredible and Sasuke has to save Chiasa from an attack. From this moment she decides to prolong her eye of divination so as to always know where Killer Bee is, even though this power wasn't tailored for brawls. (But she thinks this is the better solution when compared to another one). They watch astounded as Killer Bee takes another level up by growing the 7th tail.
Sasuke tells Chiasa that he’ll lead and she'll back him up. Chiasa has no issue with this. The duo fight against Killer Bee and the fight seems to be over when Sasuke puts Killer Bee under his genjutsu. Both Sasuke and Chiasa are tired. Sasuke dispels his Sharingan and Chiasa expels her divination sight; prolonging its use like she just did was like not blinking for a long period of time. It's in this moment of vulnerability that Killer Bee attacks Sasuke with the lariat, just like he did in Canon. Like in Canon, Sasuke is in need of healing.
Even though her powers aren't primarily about healing, she can still use her fuinjutsu to do it. She seals Sasuke’s injuries, even though-as she internally notes-that’s only the first half. Just like in Canon, Killer Bee explains how the genjutsu was broken. Not having the time to finish healing Sasuke, Chiasa recognizes that it's up to her to finish this fight.
It's then that she decides to use the ‘other solution', which is the Sage Mode. (The reason she didn't use it at first is because-as she explained to Sasuke a long time ago-the Sage Mode seal that her clan had been in the process of developing was incomplete and dangerous if used too long.) With the power of Sage Mode, she fights one-on-one with 7th tail Killer Bee. She manages to get him to use one of his lightning jutsu which she absorbs. Killer Bee thinks the reflected jutsu will be even more powerful in her new mode and that's true. But Chiasa reveals (internally through narrative) that while an obvious benefit of Sage Mode is larger attacks, she had decided to use it another way.
Her Sage Mode specialty deals with time. *This is to differentiate her from Jiraiya’s previous SM battle and also from Naruto too who will acquire it eventually. When she reflects the lightning attack back on Killer Bee, it's revealed what she meant by her specialty being time. This is the introduction of her endless attack (the power to use attacks that will continue for what's pretty much forever once performed. It’s achieved using fuinjutsu and an incredible amount of chakra).
Now that Killer Bee has been dealt with, she quickly hurries back to Sasuke and proceeds with the second part of healing. She unseals all of the body's natural healing. But the fight with Killer Bee is not over. He acknowledges her and Sasuke’s power but confidently states that they will die here. It's then that he transforms into his 8 tailed beast form (he does this because in his fully realized tailed beast form the endless attack will have a minimal effect on him now). He is at his greatest power and speed; his tentacle (which Chiasa is able to dodge in Sage Mode) blasts several mountaintops off, and he blasts a tailed beast bomb at Chiasa. She is able to absorb it but this process inflicts the greatest amount of pain she's ever felt. It's so bad that she can barely find the strength to release it but she does.
Switch to Sasuke’s narrative: Sasuke regains consciousness. He’s horrified to realize that Chiasa has been protecting him all this time and how beat up she is. His rage is uncontrollable. It activates the amaterasu of his MS and the inferno that he creates makes the canon one look like mid sized flames. (It just feels more dangerous as Amaterasu should feel). It’s melting the mountains all around them. Even the water is succumbing to the black flames. It’s a symbolism of Sasuke at his most chaotic anger. He’s fully intending to kill Killer Bee.
But he’s shocked out of his rage by Chiasa as she gets him to realize that he created an uncontrollable inferno. Chiasa looks angry at him. She yells at him saying something like ‘If you don’t stop this now, who knows who else will die!?’ And just like that, he’s snapped back to his senses. He’s never seen Chiasa angry with him. Even when they were strangers, she was merely wary of him. He doesn’t want her to be angry at him. This one feeling unlocks the power to control Amaterasu, just like he’s able to do in canon.
The landscape is now a charred mess. Seeing no body, both Chiasa and Sasuke assume that he was killed in the inferno. Looking gravely at Sasuke she gets him to promise that he wont ever do something so reckless like that again. After he makes that promise, she reveals that she’s dying from her wounds fighting 8 tail Killer Bee. Sasuke is anguished and Chiasa apologizes for this. She says Sasuke can’t take back his promise. And then there’s a heartfelt goodbye that’s cut short as she fades out of consciousness (adrenaline was the only thing keeping her up).
Sasuke is desperate for her to come back to consciousness. He doesn’t know what to do. He feels so powerless. It’s then that Zetsu reveals himself (he was secretly following them and recording the fight as he’s prone to do). Zetsu tells Sasuke that he can save her life. Sasuke quickly snaps at him to tell him how. Zetsu then tells him about the power of the sharingan known as Izanagi.
Sasuke sacrifices his sight in one eye to save her.
Akatsuki Hideout
Chiasa is resting (There’s a sentimental scene previous to this that I haven’t thought up yet that goes over Chiasa’s first awakening) and Sasuke is talking to Tobi. He’s preparing to have Itachi’s eye implanted to replace the eye that is now blind. Tobi asks Sasuke what he’s about to do now that he believes the truth about Itachi. Itachi Pursuit fanon arc (SasukexFemale OC)
This is the next part of my Sasuke Jinraiden OC project. It's incomplete just like the previous arc I shared but complete enough to follow the story.
Finding Itachi
Both Itachi and Kisame wait for their leader to contact them after having captured Rōshi, the host of the Four-Tails. Once they got into contact with their leader, Akatsuki went over the recent deaths of Hidan, Kakuzu, and Orochimaru. They talk about how Sasuke was the one who killed him. They also talk about the companion (Chiasa) Sasuke has traveling with him. Knowing that Sasuke could potentially disrupt their plans, the leader warned everyone to be careful, especially Itachi and Kisame.
Sasuke takes Chiasa to an old Uchiha outpost run by allies of the Uchiha clan in order to stock up on supplies.
[I liked this part in canon so I would expand on this little mini adventure.]
After Akatsuki finished sealing the Four-Tails, Deidara and Tobi decided to either track down Kakashi and Naruto or go after Sasuke.
Chiasa uses her divination to find Itachi. It’s not as hard as it seems because she has the knowledge of Sasuke as a good ‘link’ to search with. The more she uses her divination to see, the more it takes over everything she perceives (blocking out her physical senses). So she’s kind of disconnected from the world when she’s fully in this state. Sasuke stares at her[[ It can be used as a shipping moment if you have shipper goggles on, as he stares with an uncharacteristic softness.]], thinking about his plans for a bit. Now knowing Itachi’s location, they travel to it. On their way Sasuke ends up fighting Deidara. After he defeats him, Sasuke has to take a detour on hunting Itachi to rest.
After seeing Deidara’s explosion, Naruto's team heads to it, and Kiba tracked Sasuke's scent. But Chiasa-after Deidara’s attack-was monitoring for any potential opposition towards them in their area so she alerted Sasuke. Chiasa tells him that it’s Konoha ninja after him. Since she saw ninja dogs in her vision, they obviously come to the conclusion that that’s how he’s being tracked. Chiasa’s solution is for them to buy multiple large jars of incense from the local town nearby. She then uses water ninjutsu to vaporize the liquid and then wind ninjutsu to create a strong wind that massively encircles their surroundings. Kakashi infers that Sasuke must have a sensory ninja traveling with him. The ninja dogs are left useless so the Konoha shinobi are forced to search the surroundings themselves for Sasuke. This is how Sasuke and Chiasa slip away.
Chiasa uses her divination to find abandoned places for them to stay for a while so that Sasuke can recuperate. She sees different places but thinks they should stay at a hideout that would take them away from the Konoha ninja. Meanwhile, Itachi was heading to an Uchiha hideout, and sent two clones out.
Chiasa encounters Itachi
While Sasuke is resting, Itachi via raven clone goes to the hideout he’s staying at. Chiasa is already monitoring for enemies, so that’s how she knows he’s coming (and that it’s just a clone). She meets him in a large open space in the hideout that has a cracked opening in the ceiling.
Itachi planned to find her first but seeing as she did that first he asked her “Aren’t you going to get Sasuke for help?”. She tells him that Sasuke is resting so he can take “the real you” down. She can deal with the clone.”So this is your divination” in play, Itachi says.
Chiasa makes it clear that she despises Itachi. He says that she has a lot of intensity in her emotions for someone she’s never met. Chiasa says that it doesn’t matter. She was a clan heir like Itachi so that’s why he’s such a monster in his eyes that has to be killed. Itachi says that there’s greater evil than him that exists in the world. This leads to an intense conversation the two of them have and ends in Chiasa proceeding to engage Itachi in a fight.
In the fight she uses her chakra intake and return ability, her chain daggers, and introduces 2 new jutsus when the fight moves to outside: Air Solidification and Rain Crush. She defeats Itachi’s clone. She tells him that this will be his final day alive and then dispels the raven clone.
Chiasa wakes Sasuke (unlike the hostile look he gave Sai when the ninja woke him from his sleep, Sasuke looks softly at Chiasa) and tells him about her encounter with Itachi. “I met Itachi”. She explains that it was only a clone and goes over in detail with Sasuke on what transpired.
Sasuke comments that nothing has changed about Itachi. (He’s referring to the things Itachi was discussing with Chiasa). Sasuke asks Chiasa if she’s alright. She says she is and then tells him what she thought of Itachi/how he came off. Solitary is one description of him.
(*It may not come across well but I actually want to ship Itachi and Chiasa as welll in this story even though SasuChia is OTP. Basically when Itachi hears about Chiasa during the Akatsuki meetup from Zetsu, he can't help but relate to her story. {Zetsu knows her story from spying on grass hidden village} She too was a clan heir who was burdened by this title. And even though the demise of their clans are different, it doesn't change the fact that they grieve over their fallen families. The reason he approached CHiasa first is that he wanted to invite Chiasa to join him as a double agent of Akatsuki. He also wanted to tell her about the truth of his clan. The reason for this is because he wanted to create an additional failsafe that would guard the secrets of the UCM. But CHiasa stayed obstinate in hating him-much to his frustration-so that plan never went through.)
Chiasa stays behind
On their way to Itachi, Sasuke and Chiasa run into a Naruto shadow clone. Sasuke uses Chidori to disperse it. This is the first time Chiasa is seeing Naruto. She asks Sasuke who he is. Sasuke tells her, but he only mentions Naruto’s first name and not his surname.
Kisame suddenly appears to block Sasuke and Chiasa. He says that from this point on only Sasuke can proceed. Chiasa insists that she’s coming along too-despite Kisame telling her that he’ll fight her if she tries to. But Sasuke tells her to "wait here"
Chiasa is at a loss for words. “What are you…You want me to stay here…to not help you in this fight? What if you…No! I can’t do that…Why would you even say that!?”
"Because he doesn’t want her to meet Itachi again" is Sasuke’s honest response. He explains that when Chiasa told him that she met Itachi, he was afraid that Itachi did something to her. Itachi can be more sadistic and ruthless than she could think of. He doesn’t want Chiasa to be another victim of his brother. Chiasa says that she won’t die and she’ll endure whatever Itachi might do to her.
[Some stuff goes here, basically Chiasa insisting that she come along and Sasuke standing firm. In the end, Chiasa can see that this means a lot to Sasuke so she agrees to stay behind.]
When Sasuke is face to face with Itachi, his brother says that ‘he sees Sasuke still has a compassionate side since he left “that girl” behind. It was a wise decision. A long time after Sasuke has left, Chiasa wonders what it is about Sasuke that makes her always do what he wants, because in this moment she didn’t want to.
While Sasuke is fighting Itachi, Chiasa will do a search to see what the Konoha ninja are up to. She sees that they’re fighting an Akatsuki member. She then divines their location and sees that it’s not too far away. Chiasa speaks to Kisame-who shows a little surprise that she’s addressing him.
She tells him that not too far away one of his comrades is fighting against 8 ninjas from Konoha. Kisame says that he supposes she used her power of divination to find this out. Chiasa says ‘yes, she did’. She asks him if he’s going to support his comrade in battle or ‘stay here’. After all, shouldn’t he prioritize helping the comrade that’s fighting more enemies?
Kisame casually expresses that he wishes his fellow comrade (he’s pretty sure it’s Tobi) the best but until the fight between the Uchiha brothers ends with one of them alive and the other dead, he will not move. Chiasa then says that he must value Itachi a bit more then. Kisame looks at her and then gives a complex answer; his answer basically states that above all he is someone who puts the Akatsuki organazation above all.
Enter Chiasa (Sasuke x Female OC)
This is the introduction arc for my fanon project titled Sasuke Jinraiden. It's incomplete but it's complete enough that you can follow the story.
The Introduction
Sasuke is sitting cross legged. His eyes are closed in concentration. He opens them and proceeds to do some type of training exercise that demonstrates his power. His eyes show cold determination.
Orochimaru is feeling the sickness of his past fight with the third hokage and because his body possession time is almost up. He’s been taking medications to deal with the effects. He curses the 3rd hokage and is gleeful with anticipation about taking over Sasuke’s body. Suddenly a beam of lightning jutsu pierces him from his closed door. Upon breaking the door, it’s revealed to be Sasuke.
As Sasuke is killing Orochimaru, he becomes increasingly angrier. Sasuke expresses his loathing and disgust and berates and mocks Orochimaru for the type of person he is. It starts out with him bringing up things relevant to Sasuke (like how Orochimaru covets the power of the Uchiha) but it verges to other things (how Orochimaru hurts other people). The narrative makes it clear that as Sasuke is talking about the latter topic, it’s clearly personal to him, but for reasons that are not yet explained.
After Sasuke has killed Orochimaru, he frees his prisoners. They talk amongst themselves about Sasuke being the one to “bring stability and peace”. Sasuke travels to some place in the land of sound. He finds who he's looking for. A beautiful girl with red hair and violet eyes. He calls her name. “Chiasa”. She turns to look at him.
The Chase
Flashback
Orochimaru gives Sasuke some mission that concerns something. (Details will be figured out later). Sasuke gives chase to a mysterious girl with a cloak concealing her. She uses long term ninjutsu (remote fuinjutsu) to shake him off her trail. This section is fast-paced and to primarily showcase some of Chiasa's abilities.
The Encounter
Sasuke tracks Chiasa down. Secretly observing her, he sees her face for the first time. He's stunned as he sees her removing the curse marks off of Orochimaru's curse mark victims. They thank her. Somehow, Sasuke's presence is revealed. Chiasa is wary of him as she recognizes that he was the one just chasing her. So a fight proceeds between Chiasa and Sasuke. Amidst the fight, they argue (Sasuke trying to argue that he has no ill will for her and Chiasa arguing how that can be if he was chasing after her and fighting her moments ago).
The fight ends in a stalemate after Sasuke says something to convince her. Chiasa urges the victims to go back to their families. They eagerly discuss amongst each other how much they miss their families and can't wait to be reunited with them. Sasuke looks sad as he's thinking about his own family that he can never go back to. He looks over at Chiasa and is surprised to see that she has a deeply sad expression.
Working Together
Some curse mark people who have been completely taken over by it attack a nearby village where Chiasa was staying. She quickly leaves Sasuke to go protect it. Sasuke knows that he’s supposed to kill Chiasa as she is clearly the one Orochimaru wanted him to find and kill. But Sasuke ignores this. He follows after Chiasa and proceeds to help her defend the village. Neither of them are killing the curse mark people.
Sasuke and Chiasa have to figure out how to deal with the fully curse mark people. He already knows from the Sound 4 and Orochimaru that there's no hope for them in this state. But he's perplexed when Chiasa looks at them and declares that there's nothing that can be done for them. Internally she asks a question 'Do they want to die'. She then says out loud to Sasuke in a shaky, quiet voice that they want to die.
Sasuke is again perplexed on how she knows this but says he'll help her kill them. She shakes her head no. There's a special ritual killing for these type of people. For the third time Sasuke is perplexed; he's never heard this from Orochimaru so how would she know. Chiasa's hands are seen trembling but she's still determined to go through killing them.
Bonding
[The bread and butter of this intro arc. It’s incomplete though.]
After it's done, Sasuke asks Chiasa how she knows so much about the curse mark. Chiasa says "I've heard the other villagers call it by that name" She hates that. It was never supposed to be used on people because it was a work in progress meant to figure out how to create a seal that would give its wielder the power of a sage. Instead it’s just another misused jutsu from her clan.
Sasuke wasn’t expecting to hear this. He thought Orochimaru was the one to create the curse mark. Sasuke’s thoughts are interrupted when Chiasa says that she’s going to search for all the creatures. She can’t just let the rest of the creatures roam free, they’re a danger to innocent people. She’ll make it her priority to track down all the creatures and either seal them away or put them out of their misery if it’s what they desire. Since Sasuke’s mission (it’s still up in the air for me what the mission is) is to either bring the creatures back to their prison or dispose of them, he says he’ll join Chiasa in her search.
Sasuke learns how Chiasa plans to search for the creatures (and why she seemed to know that the creatures wanted to die). She tells him that she has an ability known in her clan as the ‘eye of Kagura’. It would be simplest to call it a dojutsu but it wouldn’t be entirely accurate. It’s not something that is regularly passed down to descendants, only one person in their respective generation ever awakens it and when they die, someone from the next generation awakens it. Chiasa explains how her divination works.
[Some bonding moments that are connected to the overall arc go here.]
It’s nighttime. Sasuke sees that Chiasa is having a nightmare. He hears her saying in her sleep “I’m sorry”. He calls her name and wakes her from it. Chiasa says that she doesn’t mind taking over watch now. ‘It hasn’t even been an hour’ Sasuke says. But Chiasa insists that it’s alright with her. She had a very familiar nightmare and whenever she gets it, she just stays awake for the rest of the night. Sasuke doesn’t know what the nightmare was about but based on all he’s seen of her, (she’s someone whose a part of a clan but is on her own. Her sadness when she heard those people express their eagerness to be reunited with her family, etc) he can make an inference.
“It’s a mistake to try to run from it. If you face it, you’ll see that it’s only a dream of the past so it can’t hurt you again” he says. Chiasa looks at him and is silent for a moment. She then says that his assumptions that her nightmare was about her past was right. But he’s wrong to think that she was victimized in her past, instead she was the perpetrator.
With a pained look in her eyes, Chiasa explains what her nightmare was about, which explains her past. Her people used to live in a settlement but war had destroyed that place before she was born. So they had to become nomadic people. She was the heir of her clan and was raised by her grandparents, as her parents died when she was a baby.
While she did love her clan, there were many responsibilities expected of her. She was ten when she awakened the ‘eye of Kagura’. So her new additional responsibility was to use it for the benefit of the clan. They expected her to use her still limited divination to see things that would be beneficial to the clan and things that would do harm to it. Chiasa pauses for a moment after saying this but then continues.
She began to chafe under the massive responsibility expected of her so one day instead of tending to her duties, she used her divination to figure out how to slip away from her clan so that she could play by herself for a while. Because she chose to do this, she missed out on seeing that her clan was in danger of being ambushed. And for the one hour she played around like she was a regular, carefree kid, they were fighting off this attack. When she finally got back, their temporary settlement was in disarray and people from the neighboring village told her what happened.
She went after them, using her divination to get a vague sense of their direction. But just like her grandparents always told her, being on your own in this world makes you vulnerable to those who seek to exploit you. Red hair was a distinctive trait of her clan. She was quickly kidnapped by ninja who suspected her background and sold off to a small nation (where the hidden village in the grass is located). They used a restriction jutsu of her own clan that was stolen a long time ago-during the destruction of her clan’s original land-to keep her captive. She was forced to dedicate her entire identity to the nation’s hidden village; her clan’s hiden jutsus were taken and she herself was trained to be one of their ninjas. In this place she knew the opposite of a loving family, to them she was just an outsider that existed solely as their tool.
As her divination grew in power, she could see the predicament of her clan a little clearer. They were in some type of bondage. So as the years passed, she could see clearer that her suffering didn’t compare to whatever it was they were going through. Many times in her mind did she make this journey that she was now on. But it was only recently that she was able to escape her nation and actually do it. She just wants to find her people and save them from whatever bondage they’re in. She knows she can never right her wrongs but she still wants to try.
Sasuke realizes that while the lives he and Chiasa have lived share similarities, there’s one significant difference. He seeks vengeance while she seeks redemption. Sasuke tells Chiasa a little about himself. He tells her that his clan is dead. Chiasa deeply sympathizes with him.
All this time Chiasa has been calling Sasuke ‘Uchiha-kun (recognizing his clan’s insignia from her studies as a child) because he never told her his given name. She also hasn’t told him her surname. But Sasuke knows that they both understand that their names carry weight because they are their identities.
‘Chiasa, my given name is Sasuke’. Sasuke watches Chiasa as she says his full name out loud. She was looking at the grass clenched in her hands as she said it. Still clutching the grass she tells Sasuke her surname. ‘Uzumaki’. Sasuke is shocked to hear this. Internally all that's going through his mind is 'She's an Uzumaki!?' Out loud all he says is "Chiasa Uzumaki". Chiasa at the mention of her full name turns to look at him but is a little confused to see him averting his gaze.
[And then some other bonding moments happen.]
The fate of the Uzumaki
The end of Chiasa and Sasuke's little journey (since it’s Sasuke’s mission to deal with Chiasa who is an intruder, he has a valid reason to follow her) leads them to a familiar place for Chiasa. Memories are coming back to her. It's a village outside of the land of sound where she was last with her people. She thinks (mistakenly) that her divination must have been leading her to this place because her clan is here.
When they reach the border to the land of sound, Chiasa says a little shyly that she knows Sasuke was following her because of his mission but wonders if he’d like to meet her clan after she sets them free. Sasuke says that it’s alright with him and that he’ll help her. This makes Chiasa happy. She’s glad that they don’t have to say goodbye to each other yet. Sasuke (walking a little behind her) says nothing to this.
Chiasa recognizes an elderly man and calls out to him. He recognizes her and calls out her first name. Some of the other villagers nearby recognize her too. (the little Uzumaki heiress, they say). They ask her how she's doing, though some of their questions are peculiar, something Sasuke notices.
Chiasa tells Sasuke that she can't wait for him to meet her family. The villagers share a look of confusion and concern. The elderly man tells Chiasa that they aren't here anymore. Chiasa looks downcast but quickly regains her cheerfulness. She thinks that she understands why her divination led her to this village; it’s because the old man knows where her clan is. She says to the old man that ‘he knows where her clan is, doesn’t he’. He hesitatingly says yes. Sasuke is immediately recognizing that something isn’t right but Chiasa in her desperation to be reunited with her clan members doesn’t give it any attention. She asks the old man if he can tell them where they are. His reply is him asking her "You came from the Land of Sound right?" Chiasa replies yes. "Then no doubt you've run into them through your journey." Chiasa's expression is one of deep shock.
Sasuke is quick to deduce what's going on. "The creatures" His deduction is correct. The villagers start to explain what happened. Chiasa begins to walk away from everyone. Her gait is unstable. She drops to the ground and screams in agony, tears streaming down her face over this horrific truth-her entire clan was transformed into those misshapen creatures and she was the one to kill them. Sasuke’s eyes are closed, his expression is one of deep sympathy.
Chiasa and Sasuke are alone now, they’ve been alone for a while. Sasuke then says something. ‘It’s not your fault’. He tells her that in that state they were in, nothing could be done. And they themselves chose death in the end. But Chiasa says that it would never have reached this point if she arrived sooner. She even adds to this by saying that none of this would ever have happened if she didn’t abandon them that day. So it is her fault. Sasuke recognizes that to Chiasa her guilt has now become something that is set in stone. Because she thinks her entire clan is dead. The obvious answer that the narrative is ‘screaming’ is for Sasuke to tell Chiasa about Naruto.
Instead, Sasuke shares some info about himself. He tells her that his clan is dead as well. Chiasa is sympathetic. He says that the corpses of his clan were burned up in a mass pile because his home village didn't want anyone to steal their kekkei genkai. He's sure they would have appreciated something like what Chiasa did for her own clan. Chiasa says that it's not too late, their bodies may be gone but it's their souls that are what's truly important.
[Some other dialogue happens]
Sasuke asks Chiasa what she plans to do now. She decides to go back to the land of sound. She wants to make it her new purpose to tend over the graves she made for her clan. She says that she couldn't be there for her clan members in life, so she'll watch over what’s left of them in death. Maybe that's the only type of redemption allowed for someone like her. Sasuke looks at her with an indecipherable expression (again, he knows that she has a cousin in Konoha but for selfish reasons to be revealed he’s not telling her.)
Sasuke and Chiasa pass into the land of sound again. She knows he said that this was his last mission in this land and then he would leave the land of sound so she says goodbye to him.
The Decision
Sasuke goes back to Orochimaru's dwelling. He knows that what the people of the land of sound thought was some sort of supernatural outbreak of akuma (they aren't aware that their land has become a front for Orochimaru's objectives) and what the villagers told Chiasa (by this point she no longer had the heart to divine anything) were both incorrect. Sasuke knows that Orochimaru was the one behind everything. When he returns, Kabuto comments that Sasuke was absent for much longer than he thought it wold take. Kabuto’s not surprised that Sasuke is ignoring his comment but he is surprised when Sasuke asks him about the people who've been fully consumed by the curse mark. That's how Sasuke confirms that Orochimaru really is to blame.
From here on out, the narrative gives context to the scenes of Sasuke preparing to kill Orochimaru and doing it. Basically, what's going through his head is that he's decided that he will no longer live the 'pitiful existence' that Itachi told him to and instead he would elevate himself. This is something he learned from his journey with Chiasa. This old lifestyle was gently rebuffed by Chiasa, though she had no context for any of it. It also gives context for Sasuke's speech to Orochimaru (where he expresses his contempt, disgust, and anger for Orochimaru's actions).
The Proposal aka The Vow
Flashback over: Sasuke tells Chiasa the truth he confirmed about her clan’s demise and that he killed Orochimaru who was responsible. It’s a lot of information to process and too many emotions are passing though Chiasa for them to be deciphered. Sasuke then tells her more about the type of person Orochimaru is. Chiasa asks him ‘why he would even associate with someone like him’. Sasuke tells her about his motive for joining Orochimaru (to gain power) which leads to him telling her the full truth of his own clan’s demise. Chiasa is horrified and angry-especially because she was an heir just like Itachi, so it's inconceivable to her how he could think to do something so heinous.
Sasuke tells Chiasa to join him. Let his path be hers, his purpose be hers. It’s a ‘seductive’ proposal and her answer is yes.
While Chiasa has some time on her own still, she uses this time to properly think about what she said yes to. She reinforces her decision. When she reunites again with Sasuke, she says out loud that by joining him she's fully accepting then that her clan is just a memory. Sasuke says nothing to this (even though he knows that there's one Uzumaki living in Konoha). She decides on her own to let go of the Uzumakis and join Sasuke. Hearing this, Sasuke says that the path she'd chosen before, she wouldn’t have found anything there, just decay. He says that killing the one who killed your own loved ones and destroyed your entire world, that's redemption. He makes a vow to her, that she'll find the redemption she's looking for with him. Wanting so desperately to soothe the pain in her heart, she looks at him with a sort of pained hope.

Sasuke Jinraiden
I'm working on a massive SasukexFemaleOC story that I'm calling "Sasuke Jinraiden" after the name of one of his light novels. I figured Naruto had Shippuden (Shippuden means hurricane chronicles which plays on his Uzumaki name) so it makes sense that Sasuke's story would be called Jinraiden (literally meaning Thunderclap Chronicles which is a play on his lightning affinity.) It starts from Shippuden and goes into the Next generation.
Follow me if this sounds interesting to you! I've done so much plotting so I'm gonna mass post to tumblr.

team ‘i’m a prodigy that fucked up my little brother’s life really hard but if you touch him i will eviscerate you’
every attempt to write an emotionless character i've ever seen has failed if just for the fact that humans are so emotional by nature that imagining the truly "emotionless" is near impossible and they just end up writing a character who is super autistic instead
Two up, two down
We talk about Potter as a timeless series, as quills and parchment will never date, but there are a few key elements which are of their time, and I sometimes suspect that eventually, their original meaning may be lost.
Snape’s house in Spinner’s End is one of these. If you visit Surrey, a house akin to Number 4 on Privet Drive can be found on hundreds of identical estates. Indeed, the three-bedroom house with a garage, and both front and back gardens, situated on a private housing estate in leafy surburbia is one that most British people will have strolled through at some point.
But Snape’s house in Spinner’s End is the opposite of the Dursleys’ aspirational abode, and is somewhere that few modern readers will have seen in its original form with their own eyes. Snape’s house in Spinner’s End is a traditional two up, two down through terraced house, mired deep in a maze of identical cobbled streets, overlooked by a looming mill chimney, and seemingly – by the 90s – entirely abandoned.
The difficulty that some may have in accurately picturing this scene is because these houses, in this state, no longer exist. A large percentage of two up, two down terraces were demolished as part of slum clearance, which should tell you all that you need to know about the state of the houses.

Those which remained have been extensively modified – usually knocking down the privy (outside toilet), and then building a two storey extension across the bulk of the yard to create a third room downstairs, and a bathroom upstairs. Some houses only have a single extension; it is rather common in some areas of the Midlands to have a bathroom that leads off the kitchen downstairs – because the bathroom was the missing room, and it was cheaper to build one storey than two.
Pottermore had an article earlier in the year which explained how the filmmakers originally wanted to film on location, but could not, because the houses simply did not exist in their traditional state.
The houses were typically constructed with two rooms downstairs and two rooms upstairs with a tiny backyard entry leading to the outhouse. Craig actually considered shooting on location, but even though the buildings were intact, they had been brought into the modern era, with up-to-date kitchens and plastic extensions, so the set was built at the studio.
Throughout the 20th century, cobbled streets were routinely replaced by various other road surfaces, namely tarmac and asphalt – and, of course, the scarcity of cobblestones now means that such streets are aesthetically desirable. However, the cobblestones in Spinner’s End are not an indication of affluence, but an indication of an area left behind. This is further illustrated by the rusted railings, the broken streetlights, and the boarded up windows.
These were workers houses, often funded by the owners of the mill, and therefore tied – meaning that rent was deducted from your wage before you received it. There were benefits to being in tied accommodation, including being close to work and having a guaranteed landlord – but that was as much benefit to the mill owner as the worker. Seeing great competition, some mill owners invested in their properties to entice workers – but Spinner’s End is not an example of this; Spinner’s End would’ve been regarded as little better than a slum even when fully occupied.
The narrow streets are indicative of when these houses were built, presumably in the late 1800s – cars were not a concern, and the attitude was to build as many houses on as small a piece of land as possible.
By the time the 90s roll around, and we see Narcissa and Bellatrix descend upon the street, Spinner’s End appears to be mostly deserted. With the closure of traditional manual industries, families would be keen to relocate to where work could be found. Estates which hadn’t already been cleared by the 60s would find themselves left to rack and ruin, their former occupants long gone – whether seeking a new life elsewhere, or having died.
For once, Bellatrix is not being anti-Muggle when she sneers at the Muggle dunghill; she is unnervingly accurate. It is a slum by her standards, but most importantly, it was a slum by everyone else’s standards as well. By the time Severus was born, work should’ve been well under way to clear the area, or to renovate it. This evidently did not occur – which itself explains how undesirable the area is; nobody wanted to spruce it up - they wanted to leave. There were no jobs, no amenities, no services – and eventually, no people.
We often ponder why Snape remains at Spinner’s End, but perhaps there lies the answer; he wasn’t just hiding from the magical world, but he was also hiding from the Muggle world as well…
All I'm seeing in these replies you're getting is a bunch of deflection from your original point. Nobody is talking about Orochimaru, Kabuto, or the other villians in Naruto. In this post Sasuke Uchiha is the one being discussed, not the rest of them, so it makes no sense to keep playing this "but what about so and so and what they did" game.
A criminal by definition is someone who has committed an unlawful act. Terrorism is the usage of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, usually for political reasons. The fact of the matter is that Sasuke meets the criteria of both those terms. He became a criminal of Konoha when he killed their acting Hokage Danzo. He became a terrorist of Konoha(and the shinobi world) when he affiliated himself with an organization that invaded their village and attempted to abduct their jinchuuriki. He further associated himself with terrorism when he attempted to kill Konoha's current kage(and the other kages), enslave the tailed beasts, and basically use his power to force Konoha(and the rest of the world) to succumb to his vision of what the world should be with no regard to any of their opinions on this matter.
Even if these acts of terror in the end remained only attempts thanks to Naruto, that's still considered punishable. Criminal attempt is a thing that you can be charged for, especially when the attempted crimes are such high level crimes as Sasuke's one. (Seriously, try a fraction of the things Sasuke did in real life and see where that lands you. Hope you have a blonde friend in high places and an angry alien mom you partly defeated to get you absolved of all your wrongdoings.) It is for these reasons that Sasuke was imprisoned for a time by Konoha, stop acting obtuse about this.
And before someone starts writing up some reply talking about the Uchiha Massacre and Konoha's part in it, just stop right there. You can acknowledge the horrors of the Uchiha Massacre and Konoha's role in it and still condemn what Sasuke did and was planning to do. A select few members of Konoha's government being implicit in an inhumane crime does not mean that there's an anything goes rule when it comes to crimes committed towards an entire village of people. Sasuke was wronged by Konoha in his past but he was also in the wrong for what he planned to do to Konoha in his future. He can be both a victim and an oppressor, it doesn't have to be one or the other.
So with all this being said, is there anyone who can explain to me what was so awful and unforgivable about Sasuke's imprisonment? It's not like it was some Greek mythology level of eternally cruel punishment. He was imprisoned for what couldn't be more than a few months and then released to do as he pleased, with a little admonishment also given by Kakashi. He then decided to go on that redemption journey, Konoha didn't make him. I don't even see what's so bad about the filler scene added in the anime. Sasuke is a powerful shinobi with some powerful dojutsu, it's only common sense that they'd try to restrict him. And we all know that if Sasuke wanted to he could break those restrictions easily. I'm just not seeing the outrage fandom is having for what is Sasuke essentially getting a time out.
Like, my pet annoyance with fans of Naruto and more in particular fans of Sasuke, is the whole ‘he didn’t deserve to be imprisoned’ thing.
You need to understand that even though the show concentrates on this very small group of ninja there are thousands of people in the Hidden Leaf.
What Sasuke does threatens all of them, including children. Saying he doesn’t deserve to be punished despite completely planning to destroy the village at some point, killing an active hokage and attempting to keep the entire world under his control whilst aiming to kill everyone powerful enough to stop him is fucking ridiculous.
I get he has reasons. Reasons are not excuses. To an average person in that world he posed a massive fucking threat to everybody and what do the officials do to stop this powerful, fucking God-like ninja who has only one true equal? Well, kinda just hope he’s going to keep his word about changing his mind,
tldr; Sasuke is a criminal, stop letting your love of him blind you to the fact that he is very dangerous and has done things that in the real world you don’t get away with because you ‘changed your mind’.
tldr; stop treating Sasuke like he’s your ~baby~ who can do no wrong and Konoha is evil for punishing him.
I think it's a weird combination of all the things you listed, and from my experience with SNS shippers, your posts being by default anti ss are definitely one of the reasons. SNS shippers do love Sasuke. 2/3 of their posts about Sasuke are them fangirling over him(Ironically something they claim to detest. I guess it's all in good nature when they do it, only for Sakura does it show the shallowness of her feelings). The other third are apologist essays for his attempted murder of his teamates, actual murder of those samurai, planned murder of the kages and innocent civilians, awful fathering, other wrongdoings I can't recall at the moment(but he most certainly has done), and his asshole behavior towards people.
They only trash talk Sasuke when it's in the context of him not being in a relationship with Naruto. I think the sentiment behind it is to show how bad of a character Sasuke has become once he was "forced/guilted" into a relationship with Sakura. They do the same thing with Naruto. Pre 698 Naruto is a ball of sunshine, post 698 Naruto is a scumbag. It's a part of their whole mantra that the ending of Naruto ruined the integrity and quality of the characters and story.
Personally though, I don’t get why they’re so adamant that Naruto was ruined when Ch 699&700 was released. Tobi=Obito should’ve been the alarm signal and “He was the coolest guy” was the death knell.
tbh i don’t understand sasunaru shippers’ logic. they keep liking my anti sasuke posts (the ones in which i call him every name under the sun, renounce him as a shitty father and shitty human being in general, a douchebag undeserving of redemption, undeserving of naruto and sakura’s love and devotion, undeserving of the countless second chances he’s given, the people he takes for granted, and even the ones where i claim i ship him with death), but if sasuke is half of their otp, why do they seem to hate him so much? if they agree with my interpretation that sasuke is an irredeemable piece of shit, why do they ship him with naruto?
is it because my anti sasuke posts are also anti sasusaku by proxy? so it’s a weird case of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’? is it ‘it’s not abuse with sasunaru bc naruto is a dude/naruto can stand up to sasuke’? (which is incorrect anyway, when it comes to sasuke, naruto is as much of a wuss as sakura is, if not more. see: him getting on all fours in front of A, begging him to spare a dangerous criminal’s life just bc he and said criminal used to be best buds once upon a time. seriously, that should’ve been a sure sign that naruto would be a shit politician one day, acting on sentimentality rather than reason).
or have those yaoi goggles impaired their reading comprehension to the point where they are unable to recognize that my posts are specifically shitting on half their otp?
