Meh, changed my mind, I don’t think the idea I had originally actually looks better than just the 3 gifs side-by-side 

Finished the Diamonds and their Pearls! The illustration with them all together was a massive file, so the image quality may not be great since I scaled it down to post. I really loved the season finale and the diamonds are some of my favorite characters! Which one is your fave?

That. Right there. A pivotal moment for Rose (upon second viewing), re-contextualizing how she’s been treating those around her exactly like the other Diamonds treated her. She had fled from it, but she’d internalized her role. Loving but condescending and hurtful all the same. She had known no other way, until someone, Greg, finally treated her as an equal.

This is exactly right. Essentially every character has done wrong, some even had malcious intent, but Pink comes off as the worst because she died. Just think about Blue in the opening scenes of the movie. Blue literally eluded to the fact that she doesn’t shatter gems anymore... We forget how truly evil so many other antagonists of the show had been because they changed their minds. Pink didn’t get that oppritunity, and no matter how wrong she was at times, she tried to fix things so that others and Steven could live in a better world than the one she grew up in. She was not a hero but she wasn’t a villian. She’s understandable and respectable, because if she was still alive I think we all know she would be the most amazing Crystal Gem.
