Challenge 108: Uniform: Stella Maris

With a theme like Uniform it was the perfect opportunity to draw one of my fav new characters, Stella Maris, from ‘The New World’.  Showing her off in Guardian attire, I went with a bold red bg to pull from Tom Muller’s killer graphics/ dress for the comic covers themselves. I also tried to keep the coloring style as close to Heather’s as possible but I seriously couldn’t do it justice and ended up defaulting back to my safe place of over rendering XP

But seriously, this comic has such an amazing creative team it’s beyond ridiculous! Would definitely recommend picking up this series ✨🙌✨

Today's the big day, the official launch of Creative Action Network's new book: What REALLY Makes America Great. It's a beautiful collection with artwork by over 75 artists (including some of my @squarecarousel buddies) who were inspired by a widespread interest in creating art to challenge the current political climate. Proceeds support The Dream Corps, a social justice accelerator founded by Van Jones that advances economic, environmental, and criminal justice solutions.

The book is available to order from Creative Action Network as well as Target and Barnes and Noble. Deff consider picking it up and helping their cause!
