„And that‘s your grammy April and gruncle Mike when they were young!“
Wow, how lucky we are - we thought nature had nothing left when humanity went down the drain.
Hey little wasch fetish if this isn't the beginning of civilisation.
He/she/it since we don't know that we don't want to commit ourselves, so what we have to say is that he discovered washing before the handgun as a civilisation good, which as we know does not occur with all humans in that order.
Who knows if you have already intellectually overtaken the person filming you, but you don't show it.
As if we're going to fuck this up really hard with humanity and we're going down with our civilisation. It's better to cooperate than to be separatists.
But the way you look, we think you already know that.
Good luck building a new mammalian civilisation smaller.

And please don't start with religion, it only leads to ruin. If it's religion, then embed nature and life as a whole. Quite enough,

You know that sort of technological/sci-fi aesthetic that was most prevalent in the late ‘80s to the mid-’90s that used a lot of grey to beige colors and angular shapes with heavily rounded edges and corners?
Syd Mead was certainly a big influence, though a bit sleeker than most examples:
One of the greatest exemplars of the aesthetic is the interior of the Enterprise-D on Star Trek: The Next Generation:
It seems to be designed to appear both futuristic and welcoming. The plastic usually has a grainy texture so it doesn’t look so shiny and cold. Light sources are soft, with the lightbulbs concealed behind corners or plastic coverings that diffuse the light; it was also usually a bit dimmer to feel more indoorsy and cosy. Pure whites are shunned. Chairs and couches are made to appear comfortable at first glance (even if weird angles and slopes would compromise comfort in practice). Ceilings and walls slope inwards, accentuating the low, cosy feeling. It makes me think of being in an airliner, since airliner interiors have a similar aesthetic (that worked to ST:TNG’s advantage; since the interiors reminded me of an airplane, it felt like they really were in a spaceship).
In some ways it seems to be a softer, cosier update of the ‘60s space age aesthetic, and there’s a smooth transition to the colder, shinier Y2K aesthetic.
ok so i was in the shower one time and my brain trailed off and i just started imagining what if the Enterprise got a distress signal that has been sent from the 21st century and when they look at it it's just stupid ancient meme shitpostery. like they think they've come across a really weird time-travelling anomaly and they put it on main viewer and they just get colossally rickrolled from 300 years in the past. it hasn't left my head for the past few days so now you must witness my vision
Data: Captain, it appears we are somehow receiving an unusual distress signal originating from the ancient year of 2024.
*Picard and Riker exchange looks*
Riker: 2024..? That's impossible.
Picard: Hm... Unusual indeed. Put it on main viewer.
Data: Aye sir.
and then the viewscreen activates and it's just this
TH GAY PEOPLE IN MY PHONEWHEN I DROP IT ON THE FLOOR
me when i've been put into a social situation i really didn't want to participate in and i have to pretend that i'm actively enjoying it until i can go home
hello trekkies it was Captain Picard Day a couple days ago so please have one of my absolute favourite Star Trek clips ever to exist
(this post is late because my phone was an asshole and didn't tell me it was picard day on the 16th despite the fact that i literally vividly remember setting an event to notify me on that day, pretend this was posted on the 16th i beg of you)
i love how early on in the series Star Trek TNG established that Data is fully functional and that he can, in fact, have sex. like as if they knew that was something someone was inevitably gonna ask and they just wanted to get it out of the way first thing. they literally had him bang someone and then act like a drunk idiot immediately after the pilot episode aired and i think that's so fucking funny.
early TNG establishes three main things about Data's character: Data is an Android. Data cannot feel emotions. this Android can FUCK.
THEY DIED?… || BLLK X STARTREK: TNG AU
@the-rini-rush I wanted to show you this since I saw you like Blue Lock
Explaination: In this AU, Zarabeth (White hair girl with blue uniform), Evie (Black hair girl in red uniform), Zar (Black hair boy in blue uniform), are the older sibling to Rin and Sae who are in Starfleet. They use their free time to visit Rin and Sae. And regularly it’s Zarabeth who sends him letters. One day, they went to war with the Kavims, an evil alien planet who waged war on Starfleet. And Rin received a letter from their captain named ‘Jenna T. Kirk’….
The note said “Rin Itoshi, the war between the Kavims are over, but, this isn’t Zarabeth. It’s Jenna, her captain. I wrote you this letter to give you the news that, Zar Itoshi, Evie Itoshi, Zarabeth Itoshi, have passed away. We found their bodies near fallen rocks with some of their limbs torn off and bloodied up. We concluded they died from wounds. I hope my best wishes in mourning to you.”
— Captain Jenna T. Kirk
They were found smiling. Smiling. It was like they were in comfort that they were with each other even in death. They were nicknamed the ‘Cadets Who Smiled In Death’.
I can’t be the only one that thinks that O’Brien was somehow responsible for the transporter accident…right?
There’s no canon evidence that he served on that ship but how else would Thomas Riker know who he is and hold a grudge against him?
O’Brien was already on DS9 when “Second Chances” (TNG 6x24) took place so he couldn’t have met him then. O’Brien hadn’t seen him on DS9 before they were on the Defiant. With how confused O’Brien was I can only assume that he hadn’t had a previous bad incident with Thomas that he believed was with Will.
There’s literally no other possibility…O’BRIEN CAUSED THE SPLIT!!
