South Park Story

South Park Story

Hi guys, I have fallen into South Park hell again since I'm currently replaying the games and wrote my first chapter for my New Kid story, since it's South Park and really mature I only posted the link to the story to my Wattpad for it rather than posting it here on Tumblr.

I don't want any minors or people who get triggered by it to accidentally read it.

Hope you understand!

Have a nice day/night!

Making Waves

Chapter 2: A strange encounter

Careful you stood up from your sleeping place and walked over to the dark dragon.

The poor thing was whining pitifully. It had crashed against one of the stone formations and lay now sideway, its tail curled around itself.

You saw how he licked his tailfin.

Why was it doing that?

You tried to make out in the dark of the night what was wrong with it. Then you understood. It missed a part of its tailfin!

Your heart got out to the dragon!

Poor baby, who had done this to it? Like this, it wouldn’t be able to fly. It was a downed dragon. And a downed dragon is a dead one.

That is what the elders of your coven always told.

You stood now before the dragon and he finally took note of you. You saw how it sniffed the air, probably to check what you are, then you saw how it relaxed a bit.

It recognized the smell of merpeople.

This was good.

You kneeled down before it and reached a hand out. You know the dragons didn’t like to be touched, you needed to get permission from it. You waited for a bit, till you felt how it nudge your hand with his snout.

“Hey sweetheart.”, you cooed and stroked it’s snout. “Your tail hurts bad doesn’t it?”

As an answer, it whines pitifully.

You let your eyes thrift for a second to his nether regions.

He whines pitifully.

Poor boy!

“Don’t worry, I can help. I can’t give you back your tailfin, but I can prevent the wound get infected or worse.”, you tell him.

He looks at you with big green eyes. A question groan left his lips.

You pat his snout before you reached with your other hand in the direction of the pool.

You feel the water answering your command. It flies in a stream to your hand, forming a clove.

You put your water-covered hand on the wound of your new dragon friend and let the water twirl around. You concentrated to heal his wound. The water glows, fighting the infection that was beginning to form. Knitting back the broken skin.

When you feel there is not more to heal for you, you send the water back to the pool.

Your dragon friend croons cutely and gives your cheek a big lick as thank you.

You laugh and pet him.

“It was nothing, sweetheart. I’m glad I could help.”

Making Waves

The next day you wake up thanks to the sounds of the morning birds. This was a new experience for you. You never had heard the singing of the birds this early.

How beautiful and relaxing!

You yawn, snuggling up more to your black dragon friend, while he curled his one wing tighter around you, keeping you warm.

Yesterday night, after the healing session and you making sure he eat some fish, you both had curled up together in your little makeshift sleep place.

Having a dragon as your personal blanket and cuddly company was also new.

But oh so very welcome.

Maybe you two could stay somehow together.

The poor dear needed someone to feed him and care for his wound. Yes, you had healed it well up, yet it was better if you did it for a few more days.

Just to be sure.

Well, it was not like you wanted to return home that fast. You would stay a bit longer here in the cove with your dragon friend.

He needed a name.

You stretched your limps and he crooned softly. Snuggling more up to you, trying to get back to sleep.

You laughed, petting his snout: “Good morning sleepy head, it’s time we get up. I want to check on your tail and then I will catch us some fish.”

The mention of getting fish turned your dragon friend into an excited puppy. He jumped up and croon softly at you.

You missed his warmth but tried to ignore the goosebumps and sat up.

After checking his tail and healing it again with water, you jumped into the pool returning to your mermaid form.

Time to catch some breakfast!

While you were busy with that, you could hear muffled how your dragon friend tried to fly. Your sweetheart probably thought with you healing his wound he could manage.

But you know better.

You can’t regrow what is gone. It hurt you that you can’t help him.

When you are satisfied with the fish you got, holding them tightly in your arms, you see how Sweetheart puts his head into the pool.

You grin up at him and he gives you a crooked grin.

Breaking the surface, you can’t help to give his snout a little kiss. It turns him all shy and you laugh.

“I got us food, Sweetheart.”, you tell him.

He croons excited and you swim to the edge of the pool, putting the caught fish on land.

Sweetheart does not waste time and digs in, which makes you giggle softly.

He is really like an excited toddler.

That is when you hear a gasp and how something falls down into the cove.

The tink, tink, tink, of the thing alerts even Sweetheart.

You both turn to the noise.

And now you have to gasp.

There is a boy.

Probably your age.

He has wild auburn hair with two little braids in it. Eyes so green like the forest around you. His face is oh so handsome. You can tell he is tall and well-muscled like a merman. Not typically for the land dwellers here who seems to be just a block of muscles. He wears a red tunic with some kind of brown armour.

Strangely you have the feeling you have seen him before.

Something about his eyes…

That’s when you get ice cold and gulp.

Oh no, oh no!

A land dweller has seen you! No way in the seven seas he didn’t see your fishtail! It was forbidden to interact with the land dwellers like this!

Oh god, what would he do?

Would he kill you? And Sweetheart too?

Land dwellers weren’t famous for being open-minded.

Yet, he didn’t do anything.

He just stared from Sweetheart to you and back to Sweetheart.

They both shared a profound, unflinching stare, that you felt like an intruder.

It was strange, it was like the world had shifted.

But neither of the boys knew it.

You felt it in your gut.

You don’t know how long you all stayed like this. After a while, the boy gave you two a last glance and…walked just away?

Shocked couldn’t even describe what you were feeling.

This…this was…not something you expected.

The boy was already different from the other land dweller. Not only from the looks, but from the way he thought.

Why would he let a dragon and mermaid be alive?

It didn’t make sense to you.

You rubbed your head and turned to Sweetheart.

He crooned softly. Like he didn’t know either what was going on.

For a moment you had the crazy idea to just turn into your land dweller form and follow after the boy.

Demanding answers.

But this was crazy.

“Let’s just eat Sweetheart.”, you told your dragon friend and tried not to think about the beautiful eyes of the strange boy.

Making Waves

Hiccup sat alone in the Grand Hall with the book of dragons open on the site with the Night Fury entry. He had put his sketchbook with the image he did of the dragon on it.

He could hear the storm outside, but the storm inside him was stronger.

His whole world was flipped upside down.

Just two days ago he had been the disappointment of his father, not worthy to be the heir, even if he wasn’t anymore the fishbone of a boy he once was, and just wanted to kill dragons to finally make his mark, to now not knowing what to think.

He got the Night Fury.

He let it go.

The Night Fury didn’t kill him.

Even if Gobber had said, that dragons always go for the kill.

Searching for an answer he tracked it down to a secret cove.

Only to not find just the dragon but by Odin’s beard a freaking mermaid!

It was so bizarre seeing the Night Fury and you interact like you were friends.

Dragons were hostile creatures!

Well, that is what they had told him for 18 years.

Mermaids were dangerous too!

They lured with their singing the ships of his people against cliffs, so they could eat the meat from their bones.

But how you treated the Night Fury didn’t paint you as a dangerous creature.

You seemed like a normal girl his age who took care of something wounded.

Besides, of course the fishtail and your breasts were for the world to see.

Here Hiccup blushed and groaned. He made a facepalm.

He never had seen a naked woman before and now he kinda did. He didn’t know how to handle that!

It didn’t help that you were so goddamn beautiful!

More beautiful than Astrid!

And Hiccup always thought that Astrid was some kind of heavenly Valkyrie, so goes figure.

This made you practical a goddess.

Again, the image of your perfect perky breasts came to his mind and he groaned even louder.

Hiccup could feel that he got excessively excited. This was so shameful! It was not right to lust after someone he didn’t know, even if you were a mermaid!

Yet his body betrayed him.

Angry he stared down at his "little problem". Great, he has turned into a perv like Snoutloud.

This gave him the shivers.

He tried to think about something different.

How about how you and Night Fury seemed so buddy-buddy with each other? Then the dragon didn’t kill him.

This had to mean something.

Maybe there was more to dragons and mermaids as they know?

Tomorrow he would try to get answers.

Making Waves

Chapter 7: We can change the world

You hate to leave Toothless all alone in the cove.

You hated more that you couldn’t go with Hiccup to his village and watch how he shows his people the truth about dragons.

But you needed to do it.

It was high time.

So after weeks away, you returned to the underwater place your coven used as a home. You lived around a sunken old ship, in the underwater grottos.

You hoped you could return to your home to your parents without a fuss, but of course, your neighbors and friends saw you and swarmed you.

Your best friend hugged you tight and screamed for a solid minute about how you could vanish for weeks without a word!

You let them get it out, that’s when they got your scent and stared with big eyes at you.

When merpeople mated they had a special scent then on them.

You read in their face the question of who the hell you mated with.

That’s when your parents arrived and you gladly let them hug you till you couldn’t breathe anymore.

Your parents asked the same questions, mostly your mother, why did you leave without a word, where have you been, till they smelled you too.

Your father took both your mother and you by your hands and swam up to your home.

This was a family matter.

Your neighbor and friends could wait.

After you made yourself comfortable in your home you told them anything. When you finished your tale, your parent’s chins were on the floor.

“You found a life mate.”, your father said in shock.

“A human!”, your mother shrieked.

“A Viking no less.”, reminds your father.

“A Viking who made friends with a dragon!”

“A Viking who made friends with a dragon and is the next leader of his people!”

“Mom, dad, can you keep it down!”, you begged them.

You bet the whole neighborhood heard it.

“Sorry, my little dolphin, but this doesn’t happen often that our people mate with humans.”, tells your mom this and holds the hand of your father.

…Wait what?

“It happened before?”, you shriek now shocked.

You never heard that a mermaid or merman mated with a human before. You thought you would get in trouble because you mated out of your species, yet your parents were mostly calm.

“Ah yes, the last one was Marina. She was a childhood friend of mine.”, told your father this. “It was before the coven moved to these waters, she lives in a place called Italy now with her human mate and children.”

You just blink.

Huh.

“So you are not angry?”, you asked to be sure.

“Of course not, seastar. Sure if you mated with a merperson then you could stay here, but you can visit us.”

“And we will come visiting you and your mate and our grandchildren too.”, says your mother smiling and looking excitedly at your stomach. “Do you think you are already with child?”

You blushed and put your hands on your stomach.

“We only mated once…”

“Oh my little dolphin, your papa and I needed only two shots before I was pregnant with you!”

“MOM!”

“WOMAN, DON’T SAY SUCH THINGS OUT LOUD, THAT’S STILL OUR CHILD!”

Your mother just giggled at your horrific face.

Oh by the seven seas, you would not think about your parents doing that.

You shiver all over.

Nope! You have amnesia now!

Making Waves

In the end, you made your way back to the secret cove happy and glad.

Sure after talking with your parents, you had needed to tell the Elders of your coven about your mate and that you would now live mostly on land, but they took it pretty well.

Like your parents told you, you weren’t the first to mate with a human, so the Elders had experience with such a case.

They asked you only to follow a few guidelines.

Don’t tell anyone where the coven lives and only tell you are a mermaid if it’s really important and you trust this person.

So no problem that also Astrid knows about you.

If anything goes well you needed only to tell Hiccup’s father about yourself, so you could get married in the human way too.

What you would tell the rest of the village and when your parents visit you, you had no idea, you and Hiccup would take care of it when it was time, you decide.

Anyway, you arrived at the secret cove and called Toothless: “Toothless, sweetheart, I’m back!”

Strangely no Toothless came bouncing up to you.

Frowning you got on land and searched the entire cove.

The dragon wasn’t here.

Did Hiccup come earlier to the cove and took Toothless for a flight? Does this mean his plan worked?

You decide to get dressed, then you would check again for some clues.

You couldn’t put your finger on it, something just was weird.

It was like in the air.

You found a clue that made goosebumps appear on your skin.

A part of the high stones of the cove was filled with claw prints. Something, Toothless, who tried desperately to get out of the cove and succeeded.

“Oh no.”, you said. You started to run out of the cove. “Oh no!”

You didn’t care if Vikings spotted you as you raced to the forest following Toothless tracks.

Something terrible happened, your feeling was right.

That’s when you saw a familiar figure racing towards you.

“Hiccup!”, you yelled happily.

“[Y/N]!”

You both meet each other in a tight embrace.

“Are you okay? Are you fine? Where is Toothless?”, you fired one question after another checking your mate for injuries.

“I’m fine, but, oh pearl, all ended in a catastrophe!”

Hiccup told you how he was unable to show the village the truth about dragons. If it weren’t for Toothless your mate would have been toasted by a Monstrous Nightmare! Somehow your dragon friend had sensed that Hiccup needed him. The dragon protected him even against the villagers who wanted to harm actually the Night Furry. They capture Toothless and Hiccup told his dad the true why the dragons raided them. Just Stoick, Hiccup’s dad, didn’t listen to him how dangerous the giant ass dragon actually was and disowned his son also.

Yeah, your mate had a pretty shitty day.

After Astrid talked to him, Hiccup got an idea of how he could help his people who were sailing towards danger, but before he wanted to check on you.

He was happy that at least you were fine.

What he wasn’t so happy about was that you insist on coming with him.

“I’m going to fight the Red Death! Before a hoard of Vikings!”

“I understood you the first time, you can use my waterbending to aid you. I will waterwhip this bitch back to the hellhole it crawled out!”

“They didn’t react well at Toothless, I don’t want that they see you as a monster also when you throw water around. Also, your Elders told you to tell as few people as possible. Outing yourself to nearly the whole village goes against it!”, he argued.

“I’m pretty sure the Elders will understand that I did this to save our dragon friends from the Red Death! Please, I want to fight on your site. Together we are stronger!”, you plead and caressed his cheek.

He looked into your eyes and saw the determination.

“You would just swim after me, right.”

“Yup.”

“All right, then together!”

Your mate takes your hand and you run to the Kill Ring, not caring if someone is seeing you.

You can’t even take in the place as Hiccup makes haste to the Monstrous Nightmare's pen.

Suddenly you hear an unknown boy’s voice: “If you're planning on getting eaten, I'd definitely go with the Gronckle.”

You both turn around, you only recognize Astrid, but the other young woman and the three young men must be Hiccup’s fellow recruits from Dragon Training.

“Wow, who is the bombshell, who holds Hiccup’s hand.”, says the young man with black hair and practically salivates at you.

You frown and Hiccup gives him the evil eye.

Thankful Astrid hits his helmet and declares: “[Y/N], his girlfriend so hands off you all. She is cool, we can trust her.”

This seems to be enough to not get asked questions by Hiccup…friends? They take Astrid words without a doubt.

You smile thankful at her and she winks.

Yeah, definitely not a bimbo.

The long-haired blond young man steps forward with a scowl.

“You were wise to seek help from the world's most deadly weapon.”, he declares. “It's me.”

He gets shoved out of the way by the black-haired who called you a bombshell.

“I love this plan.”

Now he gets shoved by the other blond-haired young woman.

“You're crazy. I like that.”

You are ready to hiss at her, thankful Astrid comes up and grips her by the horns of her helmet.

“He has a girlfriend, Ruff. One who will do horrible things to you if you don’t lay off.”

“Sick!”

You can’t help but snort. These Viking young adults are a hoot.

“So? What is the plan?”, ask you two Astrid.

You and Hiccup smile at each other.

Time to make some dragon riders out of them.

Hiccup steps back from the door, drawing the Monstrous Nightmare out of its cave. It snorts, stepping into the ring, calmed by Hiccup's outstretched hand focused on him.

You see how the other Vikings are bewildered in awe. Well, okay Snotlout, you learned their names, nervously reaches for a spear laying near his foot, but Astrid stops him.

Hiccup slows to a stop in front of you all, with the Nightmare inches from his outstretched hand.

He reaches over and grabs Snotlout's trembling hand.

“Wait! What are you...”

“Relax. It's okay... it's okay.”, calms Hiccup him down.

He replaces his outstretched hand with Snotlout's, putting him in control of the massive beast. The Nightmare snorts but remains calm. Snotlout, by contrast, chuckles nervously it's at once terrifying and amazing.

The others watch, spellbound.

You smile at their faces. They look like children who saw magic for the first time.

While Hiccup searches for his friends something to hold on to the dragons, you let the other dragons out.

A Nadder, a Gronkel and a Zippelback.

Then you go over to Astrid and lead her to the Nadder. You have a feeling this two will do well with each other.

Making Waves

You are flying on the Nadder with Hiccup and Astrid.

The plan was that you and the gang occupied the Red Death, while Hiccup got Toothless.

As you arrive at the Dragon Nest and you can’t help but gasp.

The Red Death is already out, torched the ships of the Vikings, and now is hunting them.

Hiccup doesn’t waste time and asks the Nadder to attack the Red Death with her flames.

Kablam!

The blast explodes against the back of the Red Death's head. It turns distracted, as the Nadder punches through the flames, banking across the sky. Followed by the Monstrous Nightmare, the Zippleback, and the Gronckle.

The dragons roll in unison, revealing to the adult Vikings the recruits and you riding on their backs.

Hiccup, of course, leads and starts to give commands: “Ruff, Tuff, watch your backs! Move Fishlegs!”

The monster shakes off the blast and snaps in your wake. Hiccup directs your squadron out of harm's way. You climb out of reach and circle each other.

“Look at us, we're on a dragon!”, yells Tuffnut to the awestruck adults. “We're on dragons, all of us!”

“Up, let's move it!”, orders you Hiccup.

That’s what the dragons do, climbing past the Red Death. Your group circles over its head.

“Fishlegs, break it down.”, ask him Hiccup.

“Okay. Heavily armored skull and tail made for bashing and crushing. Steer clear of both. Small eyes, large nostrils. Relies on hearing and smell.”

“Okay. Lout, Legs, hang in its blind spot. Make some noise, keep it confused. Ruff, Tuff, find out if it has a shot limit. Make it mad.”

“That's my specialty.”, preens Ruffnut.

“Since when?”, wonders Tuffnut. “Everyone knows I'm more irritating. See.”

He follows this up by hanging upside down his Zippelback head.

“Just do what I told you.”, signs Hiccup exasperated. “I'll be back as soon as I can.”

“Don't worry, we got it covered!”, reassures Tuffnut.

“Yeah!”, adds Fishlegs.

Hiccup, you and Astrid peel away to search for Toothless. He has to be on one of the burning ships!

“There!”, Hiccup shouts and steers Nadder over the deck and hands Astrid the reins.

He lines up his jump and hops off, guarding his face against the flames. He lands on the burning deck.

You get ready to waterbend.

You make an arc-like movement, careful not to catch Toothless and Hiccup in the waves, and dose the ship with the ocean water.

At least the ship doesn’t burn anymore and this will give Hiccup enough time to free Toothless.

“Awesome pearl!”, yells Hiccup up at you.

“Mermaids for the win.”, can’t help Astrid herself to add.

You grin.

“Get Toothless, me, Astrid, and the Nadder will help the others.”

Hiccup nods and you girls fly up to the Red Death. You waterbend as much ocean water as you can after you in a long stream.

Astrid and you flie by on her Nadder, catching Snotlout in all his heroics by playing whack-a-mole with the Red Death eyes.

“Yeah! You're the Viking!”, tells him, Astrid.

Snotlout grins, finally vindicated in her eyes. In his distraction, he gets thrown, but thankful you are there and catch him in a waterstream.

Careful you take him to the ground away from the Red Death.

“Thank you, mermaid girl!”, he calls up to you.

Yeah, you had told the gang what you really were on your flight here. Better before they saw you waterbend, it would be a drag to explain later all this to the adults. Mostly to Hiccup’s father.

You nod and turn to Astrid: “Astrid, hold on tight!”

You go into another bending position.

“Hey, you ugly ass bitch how about this!”

You waterbend at the Red Death head the biggest waterwhip you have ever done. The giant dragon nearly falls to the side. You let the water return to you and attack again with the waterwhip. This time the bitch falls down.

“Awesome, [Y/N]!”, cheers Astrid.

Her cheer is short-lived since the Red Death stands up again and starts to inhale, preparing to blast.

You, her, and her Nadder get caught in the suction, pulled toward the monster's gaping mouth.

You try to waterbend, anything to help you guys, but the air circulation is too strong. You lose your grip on the water and it splashes down on the ground.

That’s when you hear the familiar whir of the...

“Night Fury! Get down!”, yells a Viking.

A massive blast jolts the Red Death's head sideways.

Astrid and you are thrown clear of its mouth and her Nadder.

You two can grip each other hands and you try with your free hand to reach for the ocean water, so you don’t end up as pancakes but you don’t have to worry since you get caught by the leg.

You look up to see Toothless.

“Sweetheart!”, you nearly cry happily.

He gives you his cute toothless smile.

Hiccup and Toothless fly over the crowd of Vikings and set Astrid and you down.

They circle back to reengage a black speck against the clouds.

“Go.”, whispers Astrid after them.

“End this.”, you add quietly too.

You feel how Astrid squeezes your hand and you squeeze back.

You stay by her as you watch Toothless and your mate fight the Red Death with anything they got.

You pray to the seven seas that both return to you.

In the end, they must have sent a plasma blast into the Red Death’s mouths since it hits the ground, head-first. It explodes in the biggest explosion you ever saw.

Dust and ashes are twirling around the Vikings, who watched with you, and your form.

You all watch in horror as Hiccup and Toothless disappear into the boiling inferno.

“HICCUP!”, your scream and want to run but Astrid holds you back, hugging you tight.

“No, [Y/N]! That’s suicide!”

“BUT I NEED TO GET TO HIM!”

“I promised Hiccup, I would keep an eye on you and I will do so!”

You try to break out from her embrace, but Astrid is much stronger then you. Defeated you wail on her shoulder, hot tears running down your cheeks.

He can’t be…

He can’t be…

No of the two can be…!

While for you your whole world breaks done, Stoick searches for his son.

You get thrown out of your despair when you hear Stoick call that Hiccup is alive.

This time Astird lets you go and you run up with all your might to your mate.

Toothless lays on the ground tired, Hiccup is in arms of a big man, you bet his father and another Viking stand beside him.

You hear how all the Vikings and dragons cheers, yet you are only fixed on your mate’s still face. He breathed, at least that.

“HICCUP, TOOTHLESS!”, you fall on your knees between the dragon and the large Viking who held your mate.

You pet Toothless with one hand, who gives you a tiny purr and with your other you stroke Hiccup’s head.

Tears of pure joy stream down your face.

They are okay, they are okay!

You thank the seven seas for that.

Making Waves

Your head nearly hits Hiccup bedframe as you try to stay awake.

It’s been a week since the battle with the Red Death and your mate hasn’t woken up.

You healed him up every day, every hour.

You couldn’t bring back what he lost in the battle, but you could help him to recover faster.

Toothless is curled up beside your chair, his head on your lap, and purrs at you.

“Don’t start.”, you mumble to him. You know what he wants to say. “I will sleep when he wakes up.”

You hear the now familiar footsteps of a large Viking coming up to you and feel a big hand laying on your shoulder.

“Toothless is right, lass.”, says Stoick. “Using all your forces to heal him and not recover any will do you no good.”

You look up at this man, who a week ago didn’t even know what you were to his son, and see real concern for you.

The one you show a child.

Or a daughter-in-law, in your case.

“I know, father, but it I feel so helpless seeing him like this. I just can’t leave him.”

Yes, after you explained to Stoick anything, it was normal for you to call your father-in-law also father. Merpeople did this.

He caressed your head and shook his.

“Stubborn, just like my son. No wonder he loves you so much.”, he mussed and you turned shy. “But, lass, what do you think Hiccup would want from you?”

That was simple.

“That I go to bed and sleep.”, you sign.

Annoyed you stood up and made your way over to the door.

“I will sleep for a while at the port, then I will be back.”, you promised.

With that, you open the door.

It still filled your heart with joy to see Hiccup village transformed into a dragon sanctuary.

Everywhere were dragons and dragon riders. Humans and dragons lived in perfect harmony together.

You smiled and waved at the people who recognized you.

Saying you were pretty famous on Berk was an understatement.

You couldn’t even step out without getting crowded by the Vikings.

This time they let you go to the port faster. An old treasure chest where your clothes would be kept till you return was placed there just for you.

After undressing you dive down into the water. Not even on the ocean ground and you fall asleep before your head even hit the wet sand.

Okay, maybe you were more tired than you let on.

Making Waves

You sleep for a long time. The lull of the water relaxes you and makes you forget for a time all your worries.

You start to awake as you hear a ruckus on the surface.

Yawning, you stretch yourself and then swim up to see what that is about.

There is a crowd around Stoick and Hiccup house!

This can only mean…!

Faster then lighting you jump out the water, get dressed and run up the hill to the house. The crowd makes space for you.

“HICCUP!”, you shout joyfully seeing him awake at his front door, his father and Gobber beside him with the other Vikings.

His face formally brightens as the sun as he sees you running up to him. Thanks to his new protestic he doesn’t dare to run, but he can come towards you.

Hiccup spreads his arms calling your name in the sweetest voice, when you are finally, finally back in his arms.

Happy tears roll down your cheeks and your lips find each other hungrily.

Hoots, hollers, and cat-calls are heard around you, but you two couldn’t care less.

You are finally together again.

No one would separate you.

“Okay, okay, leave something for the wedding night you two.”, calls Stoick fatherly over.

That’s when you both realize that maybe you kissed a bit too much in front of the whole village.

You stop and bury your head into Hiccup’s chest, while Hiccup’s face is red as a tomato.

A sheepish laugh comes out of him.

The whole village coo at you two.

You dare to look and see first Astrid huge grin and Ruffnut thumbs up in your direction.

Yeah, the two girls gave you great company while you waited for Hiccup to wake up.

Playful you poke your tongue out of them.

That’s when Gobber walks up to you and presents Hiccup with a rebuilt saddle, rigging, and tail.

“Welcome home.”, he simply states.

Suddenly, Toothless pounces on the crowd, crushing several unsuspecting Vikings under his weight.

“Night Fury, get down!”

Toothless eyes the new tail excitedly, tongue wagging. Amidst the groans and grumbles, Hiccup and you exchange a sheepish grin.

“Oh, sweetheart…”

It doesn’t take long that you and Hiccup are back on Toothless’s back, ready to reach for the sky again. Astrid is beside you on her Nadder she named Stormfly and smiles at you two.

“You guys ready?”, ask Hiccup you and Toothless.

You hug his waist tighter and put your chin on his shoulder. You give his cheek a kiss, while Toothless snorts an excited 'yes!'.

“Let’s go, love!”

From his mount, Hiccup looks out over the changed world.

This... is Berk. It snows nine months of the year...and hails the other three.

Your trio leaps into the bright blue sky, Hiccup and Toothless together as one. Astrid follows suit, giving chase.

Any food that grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here are even more so.

Hiccup and you and Astrid race your dragons through the village under eaves, over rooftops, down cliff-sides, and between ship masts. You shout happily into the sky and raise a fist.

The only upsides are the pets. While other places have...ponies or parrots, we have...

The gang joins you as they take to the open sky, rocketing far above the village. The Northern sky swirls with blazing, multicolored dragons. Hiccup, you and Toothless break from the pack, spinning into the blinding sun.

Hiccup turns his face to yours and you share a passionate kiss, Toothless crooning approving.

Dragons.

Making Waves

Chapter 3: Mermaid, Human, and Dragon

You were just floating around on the surface of the pool in the hidden cove and staring into the sky. Sweetheart has made himself comfortable on a rock formation, taking a nap.

After the strange boy had left yesterday, you really thought that he would be back with his whole village to hunt you two down, but nothing happened.

You were glad!

It just didn’t make sense!

What was going on, in his brain? Why did he just leave? Why didn’t he return?

Why did you want that he returned?

Yes, he was very, very handsome and his green eyes have haunted you in your sleep, but you shouldn’t feel this way.

You should just be happy that the boy left you and Sweetheart alone.

End of story.

Yet you didn’t want that it ended like this.

You wanted to understand him. You wanted to understand these new feelings in you. You wanted to understand why you thought you knew him.

You signed out loud and dipped down in the pool.

Maybe being a bit underwater would help you.

Bored you braided some seaweed. You had no idea what do to with yourself. Or for what you could use the seaweed.

Still you braided.

You were so fixed on the braiding that you got something happening on the surface as a shiny little dagger floated down your side.

With a raised eyebrow you watched the dagger floating down on the ground of the pool.

Okay?

That’s when you heard a muffled voice saying: “Huh. Toothless. I could've sworn you had...-“

Yes, this was Sweetheart who swallowed something. Probably a fish.

“-teeth.”

And a land dweller was talking to him.

Could it be…him?

You felt how your heart started to race at that thought. You needed to check!

So slowly and carefully you emersed your head till your nose out of the water to see who was with Sweetheart.

Indeed, it was him!

The strange young man from yesterday!

You felt yourself blushing. You were closer to him now and…wow he had adorable freckles on his face and his eyes were still this brilliant forest green.

You hadn’t made them up. They really were so enchanting and familiar like you remember.

Currently, he and Sweetheart are sitting in front of each other, and…is this a regurgitated bit of fish on the boy’s lap?

Fascinated you looked at how the two seem to communicate without words.

Sweetheart wanted that the boy eats the fish and he did it with great discomfort.

You have to give kudos to the young men.

Eating fish with dragon saliva on it was something nasty! Not to copy.

The boy gave Sweetheart an awkward smile, which made you smile too, and… incredible Sweetheart tried to copy him.

You had to fight a giggle at Sweetheart’s smile. It was so crocky and adorable!

Amazed, the boy sits up and tries to touch him. Sweetheart just hisses at him. So the boy didn’t know that dragons didn’t like to be touched. They needed to come to you, not you to them.

Your dragon friend flaps off to a crash on the other side of the cove. You whine silently at it and hope he doesn’t hurt himself. But seeing how he blasts the mossy ground to a red-hot temperature and curls up on it like a giant puppy, shows you that all is good with him.

You need to stifle your giggles as you see how the strange boy sits now beside sweetheart waving innocently. Sweetheart tolerates his persistent presence until the boy tries to touch his damaged tail. The dragon snaps at him.

At least he doesn’t have a death wish and leaves Sweetheart be.

Mmh…could you maybe?

He is here, so why not.

Careful and silent you swim to the pool edge, where Sweetheart is sitting.

He titles his head cutely and wants to croon at you, but you make clear that he needs to be still.

So he does and just blinks at you.

When you are out of the water, you turn your fishtail into legs and stand up. You give sweetheart a pet and then slowly walk over to the strange boy.

He is sitting with his back towards you, minding his own busy. You can see he is enjoying the rays of the sun.

What was the best way to approach him?

“You came alone, why?”, you ask him directly.

Dancing around the subject is too troublesome. Just go for the kill shot.

Startled he twirls around with his head and gets so red in the face that you need a new word for the color seeing you in all your naked glory.

He gaps like a fish, then shyly looks at the ground.

You cock a hip out and cross your arms wondering.

Humans and their weird way how the handle nudity. What was so wrong with being nude? Why did they have the need to cover up something so beautiful like the body?

“Hello, I asked you something.”, you say to him.

You see him gulp, still looking at the ground.

“You…you are the mermaid. The…the one from yesterday.”, he stutters.

“Correct.”

Why should you lie if he knows?

He is still and plays with his fingers.

You sign.

Better address the elephant in the cove.

“Okay, what has you bothered so much?”, you start. “That I’m not a bloodthirsty mermaid or my naked tits and pussy?”

How he splutters makes you bit your lip to not laugh out loud. He seems overwhelmed with all.

You are not that evil to make him suffer more.

“You know what forget it. I’m [Y/N], what’s your name?”

He still doesn’t look at you, but he answers: “I’m…Hiccup.”

“Bless you?”

“No, that’s my name.”

Which kind of parents gave their offspring such a name?

Maybe he practically hears this question in the silence between you, because he rolls his eyes and explains: “Parents believe a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls. Like our charming Viking demeanor wouldn't do that.”

“So that is what you call yourself, Viking.”, you say astonished.

Now he makes the mistake to look up. He is still red, but you see how he tries only to look at your face. It’s sweet, but it’s not like you are ashamed of your body. Probably a human thing.

“What do your people call us?”, he asks curiously.

“Land Dweller and we are the merfolk or merpeople.”

“That… fascinating.”

You nod and then raise an eyebrow.

“You still haven’t answered me, why did you come alone? I was scared you would return with your whole clan to hunt down Sweetheart and me.”, you tell him truthfully.

“Sweetheart? He looks more like a Toothless.”, he rebukes with a frown.

“Only because he can retreat his teeth? You are not that creative.”, you fire back.

“Says the one who just calls him by a pet name.”, he counters.

You both stare at each other frowning, till you feel how your lips twitch and see how Hiccup’s does too.

Not a second later you both laugh.

The whole situation is so surreal.

Here you are with a human, Viking, probably the first time in the history of both your people talking and you both can’t agree on a name for a dragon.

Even thinking about it, it’s just crazy.

“I came alone because…I don’t want to hurt you two. Neither Toothless nor you. I told nobody of you both.”, he explains finally.

This…is actually good.

You sit down beside him, hugging your knees to your chest so he doesn’t see your breasts. Maybe that will make him calm down more.

“That’s really noble of you. I never heard of a land dweller who didn’t kill a dragon or mermaid.”

Hiccup doesn’t seem to share your sentiment. He rolls his eyes and huffs.

“That’s you, but if my people found out that not only I’m hiding a dragon, especially a Night Fury and a mermaid from them, they would call me crazy and banish me without a doubt.”

“Really just like that?”

“We have been enemies with the dragons for 100 years and your people have a bad reputation of singing Vikings to their doom, so yeah, the popularity award I wouldn’t win.”

“That’s just insane!”, you shout and can’t help to let go of your knees and raise your hands over your head. “Dragons are wonderful creatures, we have been friends with time since we can remember and my people don’t do that. Or at least we don’t do it anymore. When we first learned that land dwellers died because of our singing we are careful that no one of your people are near us when we sing.”

“Hey, calm down, all is good. I’m not thinking like my people. At least not anymore.”, he admits.

Like if you had agreed on, you both turn to Toothless, who is taking now a nap, hanging upside down from a tree like a bat. You coo at the dragon and Hiccup smiles a bit.

“These past days have been crazy but…I’m starting to see the truth.”

“And what is the truth?”

Now you look each other in the eyes. How you wished to dive into these pools of wonderful green.

“There…there is more than meets the eyes with dragons and mermaids.”, he whispers like he is telling a secret. “Maybe, no, we did judge to fast and didn’t try to understand you. And I want to understand.”

This really touches your heart. You feel and hear in his voice how sincere Hiccup is.

He wants to change, to learn, to understand.

“Then.”, you begin and hold out a hand for him to take. “Let’s be friends and learn from each other, Hiccup. I too want to understand you Vikings better.”

He gives you a crooked smile, which is not good for your already racing heart, and takes it carefully like you are something immensely precious, your hand in his.

Your small hand fits perfectly into his larger one. Like you are two pieces of a shell. You try not to think about it too much.

You shake each other hands.

And something beautiful is born, you can just feel it.

Making Waves

You don’t know how, but you and Hiccup end up drawing on the earth together.

Well he draws, you make nonsense.

Drawing was not really a hobby mermaids did.

While you two draw away, you talk with each other.

You learn from Hiccup that he is the son of the chief, the leader of the Vikings, and one day should take over. But in his father’s eyes, he was a disappointment, even if he wasn’t anymore so little as he used to be.

You tell him about your parents and your coven. How you are practically one big family. About the circle of elders who lead and made the rules, your coven has to follow. You needed to have a certain age and other merpeople had to vote for you to enter the circle of elders.

It was fascinating how different your societys worked.

What you had in common was that you both may be 18, actually been young adults, but in the eyes of your people you were a man in Hiccup’s case if he killed his first dragon and for you when you born your first child.

Yeah, neither of you was jealous of the other.

You couldn’t image killing a dragon like Toothless, it would rip your heart out and Hiccup found it so weird that he would need to father a child to be seen as an adult.

“So marriage doesn’t exist for your people?”, he asks again, after he explains to you the concept of marriage of his people.

You have given up on drawing and just watch amazed at how Hiccup is making a drawing of Toothless.

“Yes, we mate just. Sometimes for life, like my parents, and form our own family units.”. you tell him. “Most of my people stay with a mate for a short while, till the baby is a toddler, and then search for a new match.”

“You don’t believe in love for eternity. Having one person to share anything till your last breath?”

“Me personal or my people?”

“Both?”

“Did you really make it sound like a question, Hiccup?”, you try not to laugh.

He makes a face and adds some more details to his Toothless drawing.

“Also?”

You sign. You never really thought about it. You should go with that what you people believe.

“We believe in love. But the love of the family, of the entire coven, is more important than one between two merpeople. Only united we are strong. It’s not like that this love is frowned upon, my parents aren’t treated differently just because they are Mates.”, you tell him. “For me personally…never thought of that. I just know one day I need to find a mate to have a child if I want to be an adult.”

You weren’t ready to tell that you actually run away from your duty to your people since you didn’t feel ready to make this step. You guys got to know each other still, it was way too earlier to talk about something like this.

Before Hiccup could answer, you both felt Toothless behind you, staring down at the drawings.

Hiccup continued to draw like nothing was happening, while Toothless crooned at it.

What happened in the next minutes…you could only describe it as magical.

As world changing.

You were a silent observant of how this two, dragon and young men, got an understanding for each other.

How Hiccup reached his hand out to Toothless turning his head away, showing him trust.

And then…Toothless touching Hiccup’s hand with his snout.

They stayed like this for a few seconds.

You swore the world stood still and started to again as Toothless got away from him and Hiccup stared in awe after the dragon.

You walked up to your Viking friend, putting a hand on his shoulder.

“Dragons are amazing, aren’t they?”

He turned his head to you. You saw a flicker of the young boy he once was when the world was still filled with hope, magic, and unconditional love.

Somehow this was so familiar…

He nodded speechlessly.

Making Waves

Happy Valentine’s day my lovely reader!

I hope you enjoy my Valentine’s gift to you all! :D

MINOR’S DON’T INTERACT!

Making Waves

Chapter 6: Only you, no one else

You are cuddled up to Toothless, the dragon nuzzling your cheek, while you scratch him under his snout.

Together you are waiting for Hiccup. It’s high time he comes from Dragon Training.

You wonder what is making him late.

“I will ask him, Toothless.”, you whisper to him like it’s a secret. “I will ask him to be my Mate and start a family.”

Practically, you want to ask in the mermaid way for Hiccup’s hand in marriage. Some land dwellers would say it’s way too earlier, but for your kind, it was only natural to go the whole way when you found your Life Mate.

It was incredible you found what your parents have.

Even with a human!

Who would have thought?

Toothless seems to like the idea because he gives you a big dragon smooch and purrs.

“You will be the best uncle to our children, I just know, Toothless.”, you tell him and give him a kiss on his snout.

The idea of little you’s and little Hiccup’s made Toothless purr even more. Of course, he would love your guys hatchlings like there were his own. He loved both of you so much.

That’s when you hear two voices discussing with each other.

One is Hiccup’s, and the second one is female.

“AAAAUUGGGHHH! Why would you do that?!”

“That's for the lies.”

It seems like the female hit Hiccup with something. You stand up and Toothless is right beside you. You can feel how your canines become sharper, hearing your mate in distress.

“And THAT'S for everything else.”

Hiccup yelps and both you and Toothless start to growl. You feel how your nails get longer and sharper.

Now you see the intruder.

It’s a young blond Viking woman with an axe.

She sees you two now too, but Toothless is the first to pounce toward her, snarling.

“Oh man.”, whines Hiccup who manages to stand up.

He doesn’t stay long up because the intruder dives onto Hiccup.

“Get down! Run! Run!”, she commandes.

The young woman pulls her axe, ready to take on Toothless.

“No!”. yells Hiccup.

That’s when you step in.

The water answers your command.

With a waterwhip, you hit away the axe out of the girl’s hand and hold then her hand in place, while you stop Toothless in his tracks with a stream that wraps around his body.

You hold your bending form and walk up to Toothless’s side.

You give the girl, who looks at you with fear, a cold glare and show your grown canines.

“What do you want from my mate and my friend, human!”, you hiss acid.

Even Hiccup seems to be taken back.

“You never told me you can do that with water.”, he blinks confused.

“It never came up.”

“What is going on?”, shrieks the intruder and tries to get her hand out of your water hold. It not working. “Who is this water witch?!”

“Mermaid!”, you correct angrily.

“Astrid.”, Hiccup turns so that he is between your and Toothless side and this Astrid sides. “You scared them, it’s okay.”

“I scarred them?! Your water I mean your mermaid is holding me hostage with water!”, she yells shocked.

Hiccup turns to you: “[Y/N], pearl, please let her go.”

You want to melt at the pet name, but you stay in your bending form.

“No, I don’t trust her!”

“She is a friend!”

You and Toothless snort at the same time. Yeah right!

“Please.”, begs Hiccp and gives you puppy dog eyes.

Damn you can’t resist them.

With a sign, you stop your bending, and the water splashes on the ground. Hiccup comes towards you two and puts a calming hand on Toothless’s neck, while he wraps his other arm around your waist.

You snuggle up to your mate and show this Astrid again your canines as she stares at you three in disbelief.

“Who are they?!”, she wants to know from Hiccup.

“Astrid, [Y/N] and Toothless. [Y/N] and Toothless, Astrid.”, he introduces you all to each other.

Toothless growls and you hiss at her.

You are so not charmed to meet her.

Astrid backs away, eyeing you, Hiccup, and Toothless together with pure disgust. She turns and runs for the village.

“We're dead.”, deadpans Hiccup.

Satisfied with Astrid's departure, Toothless and you turn away.

“Where do you think you're going?”, Hiccup wants to know.

Making Waves

You can’t believe Hiccup talked you and Toothless into it. You two are riding and flying with Toothless in search of this stupid Astrid.

You couldn’t care less but your mate insisted that it was important that the blond-haired bimbo didn’t reach his village and blab all about you and Toothless.

You rather would run away with Hiccup and Toothless!

Why did you agree to this again?

Right, because you loved Hiccup and trusted his judgment.

But one stupid move from the bimbo and you would decapitate her with a waterwhip.

No regrets on your side.

Your trio finally found her and Toothless snatched her up by one of her arms.

The blond-haired bimbo screams in fear: “Oh great Odin's ghost, this is it!”

You fly Astrid to the top of a towering pine. It bows and creaks under your combined weight as Astrid dangles a hundred feet in the air.

“Hiccup! Get me down from here!”, demanded Astrid from him.

You growl at her in a warning. She seems to shrink under your piercing glare.

Hiccup pats one of your hands on his side to calm you down. He is pretty damn sure that given the chance you would murder Astrid without regret.

You have told him in the days you passed together how protective mermaids could get for their mates.

He didn’t want you to murder someone for him. It made him just sick thinking about it.

“You have to give me a chance to explain.”, he implores Astrid.

“I'm not listening to ANYTHING you have to say!”

“Watch it, bimbo!”, you warn her hissing, canines poking out from your mouth.

It makes her shrink even more into herself. Someone isn’t used to getting intimidated by someone much more powerful. This gives you a certain glee.

“Pearl, please.”, whisper Hiccup to you, before a turns his words back to Astrid: “Then I won't speak. Just let me show you.”

Hiccup extends a hand.

“Please, Astrid.”

She eyes him, you and the dragon, then the ground far, far below.

After a moment, she swats Hiccup's outstretched hand away and reluctantly climbs over the pedal, lines, and harness. She settles behind Hiccup and you, avoiding as much contact as possible.

Yeah, you don’t really want her hands on you. You can’t guarantee that you wouldn’t bite them off. This woman lets your feral side out.

“Now get me down.”, she says to Hiccup.

“Toothless? Down. Gently.”

You and Toothless share a glance and nod to each other. You would give the bimbo a lesson she wouldn’t forget.

The dragon spreads his wings slowly. With a whop, they fill with the updraft. Toothless releases the tree tucks in his legs, and hovers in place.

“See? Nothing to be afraid of.”

Hiccup spoke to soon, Toothless suddenly launches straight upward. Astrid screams and you grin. The acceleration is tremendous. Every downbeat buck the saddle, heaving you into the sky, doubling your speed like a rocket.

Astrid is thrown backward. She screams more and hugs you for dear life, squeezing the breath out of you.

You fight the instinct to bite her hands off.

“Toothless! What is wrong with you?! Bad dragon!”, scolds Hiccup him. “He's not usually like this. Oh no...!”

Toothless rolls and plummets toward the coastline far below. You laugh happily at Astrid’s screams, Toothless is doing an awesome job. He rockets over the ocean waves, deliberately dipping you all in the froth.

“Toothless, what are you doing?! We need her to like us! [Y/N], say something to him!”, begs you Hiccup for help to get control over the dragon.

“Toothless, do the spin!”, you yell cheerfully.

He does as you tell him.

“Thanks for nothing you two, you are a great help!”, groans Hiccup defeated.

“Okay! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!”, shrieks Astrid regretfully. “Just get me off of this thing.”

Now that’s more you like it.

You give Toothless side a pet and you level off and head up into the clouds.

Astrid opens her eyes again and looks out over a world she'd never dreamed of. She reaches out and touches clouds, pierces columns ablaze in golden hues, and floats over a vast, alien skyscape.

You reach also a hand out, bending the water out of the clouds and letting the waterdrops fly in a beautiful arc over your group.

You hear how Astrid gasps in wonder.

It’s beautiful how the light reflects in rainbow colors in the water drops.

She grins, despite herself.

Toothless rises above a blanket of clouds and levels off under a starry sky. You emerge from a blanket of clouds under the dancing Northern Lights, shimmering in ribbons across the vast sky.

Below you, Berk's torches flicker in the inky darkness. The new perspective is breathtaking.

Toothless climbs past Berk's tallest peaks and heads out over open water, leaving the village lights behind you.

“All right, I admit it.”, breaks Astrid the silence over your group. “This is pretty cool. It's... amazing. He's amazing.”

Carefully she reaches down and pats Toothless' side.

“And you are pretty cool. Never knew mermaids could do such things.”, tells you Astrid fascinated.

Well, maybe she isn’t such a bimbo.

Even just a little bit.

You thank her simply.

“So what now?”, turn Astrid the word to Hiccup.

Yeah, you are wondering this too.

Hiccup groans.

“Hiccup, your final exam is tomorrow.”, she reminds him. “You know you're going to have to kill...a dragon.”

“That’s such a stupid and disgusting rite of age!”, you add angrily.

“Don't remind me, guys.”

A strange, unearthly din approaches. Toothless ear plates suddenly stand on end. Panicked, he abruptly dives, dipping into cloud cover.

“Toothless! What's happening? What is it?”, Hiccup asks him confused.

Meanwhile, you rub one of your ears. Something is making a strange sound and it vibrates in your head. Autsch.

“You all right?”, ask you, Astrid.

You can’t answer her since Toothless actually barks at you all in a way that clearly says to stay quiet.

Suddenly, out of the dense cloud, a Monstrous Nightmare emerges.

“Get down!”, whisper-shouts Hiccup at you girls.

Hiccup, you and Astrid duck.

The Nightmare calls out. A Zippleback appears on the other side of Toothless, boxing him in.

“What's going on?”, wonders Astrid.

“I don't know.”, admins Hiccup.

“You guys don’t hear it? There is a strange sound in the air. I can’t make it out what it is.”, you explain to them.

“Toothless. You've got to get us out of here, bud.”, declares the young man.

Yet the Night Furry just hisses at him.

Other dragons, previously invisible in the thick clouds, appear all around you. Hundreds of them, all carrying fish and game in their talons.

“It looks like they're hauling in their kill.”, whispers Hiccup.

The Zippleback eyes you ravenously.

“What does that make us?”, wants the blond-haired woman to know.

No one has an answer for her.

The dragons bank and dive in formation, plummeting through the thickening fog and weaving between towering, craggy sea stacks. They emerge at the base of a massive volcanic caldera, glowing with rivulets of lava. The flock of dragons fall into rank, funneling through a crack, and zipping through a winding tunnel.

It gives way to a vast, steamy inner chamber, tiered with pocky shelves. Dragons of all breeds lay about, nested in hordes.

The arriving dragons fly in, dropping the fish and game into a central pit, glowing red and shrouded in mist.

“It’s the Dragon Nest!”, you realize shocked.

So here live your dragon friends. There exist nicer places than a volcano. Why would they live here?

“What my dad wouldn't give to find this.”, signs Hiccup.

Toothless peels away from the procession, landing on a small shadowy shelf to keep a low profile. Hiccup, you and Astrid peek around, taking in the busy hive of sorts.

You watch on as the food continues to be dropped into the pit.

“It's satisfying to know that all of our food has been dumped down a hole.”, remarks Hiccup dry.

“They're not eating any of it.”, notes Astrid.

“I have a bad feeling about this. A really, really bad one.”, you share and bite your lips.

Now that you are in the Dragon Nest you can pit-point where the strange sounds come from.

It comes from the pit.

This couldn’t mean anything good.

And you would be right as a Gronkel spits a little fish into the pit and get’s rewarded by getting eaten by the biggest dragon you ever saw!

Your mermaid instincts formally scream to run and never return.

“By the seven seas!”

“What is that?”, adds Astrid terrified.

The monstrous beast sniffs the air, seemingly aware of you. It nears the ledge where Toothless is hiding and roars.

Several dragons take flight in fear.

“Alright buddy, we gotta get out of here. Now!”, commands Hiccup to Toothless.

Toothless listens and takes flight, barely evading the monster's snapping jaws.

The behemoth dragon lunges for you, snatching a Zippleback out of the air instead.

Your group disappears into the winged exodus as thousands of dragons flee the caldera in fear.

Making Waves

You are still reeling from the revelation of this giant ass dragon when you four arrive at the cove.

Astrid is talking yours and Hiccups ears off: “No, no, it totally makes sense. It's like a giant beehive. They're the workers... and that's their queen. It controls them.”

You touch down at the sandy ground and Astrid doesn’t waste time jumping down from Toothless.

“Let's find your dad.”, say Astrid to Hiccup, ready to return to their village.

Hiccup helps you down from Toothless since you wear a long dress and tucks you close to his side. Shaking you embrace him.

That giant dragon would haunt your dreams you were sure.

“No, no! Not yet. They'll kill Toothless.”, reminds Hiccup Astrid. “Astrid, we have to think this through carefully.”

Saying Astrid is astonished is an understatement. She gaps at you two. “Hiccup, we just discovered the dragons' nest the thing we've been after since Vikings first sailed here. And you want to keep it a secret? To protect your pet dragon? Are you serious?”

“Yes.”, Hiccup and you say as one resolute.

Astrid's taken aback.

“Okay. Then what do we do?”

“Just give me until tomorrow. I'll figure something out.”

“Okay.”

Then Astrid punches you and Hiccup in the arm.

“That's for kidnapping me.”, she tells you two.

You raise an eyebrow at her, while Hiccup looks at Toothless who snorts dismissively.

Next Astrid gives you and Hiccup a short hug.

“That's for, everything else.”

With that, she leaves.

“I don’t get this girl.”, you say to Hiccup. “Is that normal for a Viking?”

He wraps his arm around your shoulder and hugs you to himself. His head is put over yours and you hug him back.

“To be true I don’t get it either, pearl.”

You sign together.

Toothless comes over and joins your hug. You pet the Night Furry.

“Love, stay here tonight. We can think about something together to protect Toothless.”, you plea to him.

You can’t bear right now the thought to be away from your mate.

“You know what, this sounds good. I don’t wanna leave either of you right now.”

Toothless purrs, while you smile.

So a while later you and Hiccup lay under the bear fur he gifted you in the little cave you made your sleeping place.

Strangely Toothless didn’t join you guys and decided to sleep upside down like a bat on a tree.

Well, it would give you privacy to talk with Hiccup about other topics than how to save Toothless from the other Vikings.

Hiccup’s plan right now was to show the village that dragons were friendly while he should kill the Monstrous Nightmare in the Kill Ring.

It wasn’t the best plan, but the only plan were Toothless wouldn’t be exposed to the village.

You snuggled up closer to your mate, while Hiccup played with your hair.

It was a comforting and so domestic feeling.

You wanted to experience this for the rest of your life.

No time like the present, before all this with Astrid and the big bad dragon happened you wanted to ask him something important.

“Hiccup?”

“Mmh?”

“Do you want to be my life mate?”

He formerly turned into a statue and stopped playing with your hair.

You put your chin on his chest to look him in the face. He was blushing red and gaping.

“Hiccup, love?”

“D-Did d-did you just asked me in your mermaid way to marry you?!”, he stutters shocked in disbelief.

You nodded.

“Yes, I did.”

“W-Wait you mean also y-you w-want-“

“Your children? Yes, indeed I want that.”

Your mate turned so red you were worried for a second he would faint.

But he said in a tiny fragile voice: “A-Are y-you s-sure you want me? Like forever? W-What if you meet a nice merman and want him instant? Not that I would blame you, I’m just a hiccup.”

This broke your heart. Who made him believe he wasn’t worthy of love?

You would show him.

So you sat up and swung a leg over his waist. His eyes got big like a pufferfish.

He stutters your name.

“I love you, Hiccup.”, you purred softly. You touched your necklace. “I think, I loved you even when we were kids. That’s why I couldn’t decide which merman from my coven I wanted as a mate. I know this now.”

“Huh, what do you mean by that?”

You smiled and took off your necklace to give it to him.

“This was once a bracelet.”, you explained to him. “When I was a little girl I once visited Berk with my parents. It was a big festival. There I meet a shy, sweet, and intelligent land dweller boy who showed me his home, played games with me, and made me laugh till I couldn’t breathe anymore. As a goodbye gift, he gave me a bracelet he had made for me, while I wasn’t looking. I never asked for his name but…you both have the same green eyes. The same crooked smile. The same big heart. You are my first and last love, Hiccup, I’m sure. So….I’m yours too?”

You waited nervously for his answer. After spending so much time together you were pretty sure that Hiccup and your first land dweller friend were one in the same.

You just hoped he felt the same.

Hiccup played with the bracelet, seeming deep in thoughts, till he said: “I…I always thought that day…that I made it up in my mind. That I just dreamed that I found a friend…who liked me for me…but…you look like the little girl…the one I made this bracelet for…”

He looked up at you, tears were twinkling in his eyes.

“You weren’t a dream…you are real.”

You put your hands on his cheek and whipped away the falling tears.

“I’m real Hiccup. I’m not a fairytale. I love you, only you and no one else, I promise, for infinity. We can even get married in your land dweller way, I just want to be at your side and love you and love the children we will have together.”

The young man made a gasping sound, like he couldn’t believe someone could love him this much.

Still, he leaned up and gave you a quick peck.

“I love you too, maybe it’s crazy after a few weeks with each other, but I don’t want I live without you anymore.”, he told you smiling, even if he still cried. “You were the first person to accept me, you came back to me, you gave me your friendship and your heart…Yes, I want to be your life mate.”

“And I want to be your wife.”

You both meet in a passionate kiss which made you both moan out loud.

It was like fire.

Burning you from the inside and outside.

Only getting better, the more you kissed, the more you touched.

But at the same time, it fawned the flames.

You couldn’t take it anymore and stripped down your dress and undergarments.

You helped Hiccup out of his clothes and pants.

Kissing and touching every new part of him.

Worshipping him in the way he deserved.

This was your mate, your heart and soul, no one would take him away from you.

You throw your head back, enjoying Hiccups strong and deep trusts. One of his hands is on your hip the other goes to your cheek caressing it.

He closes his eyes in pleasure and moans. You shiver and kiss his hand, impaling yourself on his thick hard cock. Over and over again.

Soon Hiccup reaches his limit and comes.

He yells your name into the heavens and you feel his seed entering you, warming your womb.

You purr at the feeling.

You are still not ready to orgasm but Hiccup rubs frantically your clit to help you to get over the edge.

He swerves it’s the most beautiful thing in all the world to see you coming apart.

With a loud keen, you come and feel your own liquid splashing down on your joined parts.

It’s messy and sticky, but so damn hot.

Tired you collapse on top of Hiccup and you two share loving kisses in the afterglow.

For merpeople, you are married now and you couldn’t be happier.

Whatever would bring tomorrow…you would face it together.

Making Waves

I can’t believe I finally wrote smut.

Somehow.

Kinda.

I hope you all enjoyed it.

If not I’m sorry, I’m new at this.

Happy Valentinesday again my loves!

To Belong

To Belong

She was the weird foreign girl, he was the most useless Viking in the history of Berk. Together they were just Leandra and Hiccup. Two best friends who searched for their place in the world. Would their search for it unite or separate them?

To Belong

Chapter 1

Transfixed a young maiden with long wavy black hair stared out the window. She was in her room and could hear with clarity the battle cries of her neighbors and the screams of the dragons.

Just a normal night on Berk.

Was it absurd that she envies the dragons? Most people saw them as nuisances, but she wanted to fly like them.

Just away from Berk.

Away from a life she didn’t choose but had to live it. She sighed and put a bit of hair behind her ear.

Wallow in her misery wouldn’t help anyone, she needed to get out and do her job.

Gothi was counting on her.

It just was one of these nights where anything seemed too much.

She wonders sometimes if her best friend felt this hole in his chest too. He may be a born Viking, yet it was clear that in the eyes of the people of Berk and his own father, he was no Viking material.

They put him in the same spot as her the “weird foreign girl”.

A knock is heard on her room door and her stepmother, Sigrùn Jonnson, enters her sanctuary from the world.

Under her big belly with her future half-sibling in it, even the proud Viking woman has to gasp for air.

“You should rest.”, she says to her stepmother, before she can talk.

“And you should be out helping Gothi with the wounded, Leandra.”, reminds her Sigrùn.

“I was on my way.”

Not believing it the red-haired woman raises one eyebrow.

“Really? It looks more like you are daydreaming. I swerve to Odin Stoick’s boy has you infected with it.”

Angry Leandra stands up from her windowsill and grips her pouch, with her ointments and healing herbs in it, slinging it over her shoulder.

“We don’t talk about Hiccup! We only seem always to fight when he comes up and frankly it’s my free right to be friends with whom I want to be, comprender.”, she hisses.

Sigrùr raises her hands in a way to pacify her stepdaughter.

“All right, all right. I won’t say a thing. I will go back to bed, your brother is confusing my stomach for a ball. Don’t forget to greet your father.”

With that Sigrùr waddles away.

“It could be a girl.”, Leandra grumbles after her.

She doesn’t know if she was heard, but it was important to her to say this. Leandra knows how much her parents want a perfect Viking boy and not another little Spanish senorita like her from her father’s first marriage.

It all just sucks.

The black-haired girl goes down the stairs and sees her father stirring the fire in their fireplace.

“Papi.”, she calls over to him, already reaching for the door. “I’m off to help Gothi.”

“Hasta luego mi amor! And be careful out there.”

“Si!”

With that, she steps out and has to dodge already a Gronkel.

Ah yes, nothing better to start her work day!

To Belong

“I’m sorry, really!”, Leandra whines at the old Viking woman and can barely dodge her walking stick.

Gothi shakes her head, scribbling down on the ground.

“That’s a bit mean, I know I should be here earlier, I was just distracted.”

More scribbles.

“No, Hiccup, hasn’t anything to do with it. It’s just one of these days.”

The old woman gives her a pitiful look and writes down.

“Yeah, you are right. It’s tough for me to find my place here.”, the black-haired girl signs. “But I like helping you, Gothi.”

She gets just a nod as answers and Gothi points out at the fighting Vikings.

“Yes, I will see if someone needs healing.”

With that Leandra runs into the fry, careful not to crash into a dragon, looking for Vikings who need healing and ones she needs to send to Gothi.

She may be "the weird foreigner", but her dear neighbors respect and trust in the healing wisdom she learned from Gothi.

The black-haired girl is handing out burn ointment to a few of the men when she sees Mister Svenson holding his right arm tight to his chest.

A quick check on it’s clear that it is broken.

“Mister Svenson, please wait here for me. I will stabilize the arm before you can go to Gothi.”, she asks him.

“All right, lass.”

With that, she runs to the blacksmith stall and calls out: “Gobber, Hiccup, I need some iron poles!”

It’s Gobber who greets her, hammering away on an anvil.

“Evening lass, full out on helping the men I see.”

She grins and waves at him. Leandra always liked Gobber. Since she can remember he had treated her just like a normal child, never making her feel like an outcast on Berk.

Speaking of outcasted, there was the second one of Berk and her dearest and best friend.

Hiccup has the poles she asked for in his hands, handing them to her.

“Here you are, Lee.”

“Thanks, Hic!”

The girl with black wavy hair and tan is my only and best friend Leandra. She is a year older than me and comes originally from a place called Spain. But since her father and she stranded on Berk 10 years ago and her dad fell in love with one of the village women they live here. She is like me on outcast since she isn’t a Viking, but she manages to become our village elder apprentice. Once I asked her if she wanted to be a healer in the future and she just told me she is doing this job so she doesn’t die of boredom. Yeah, Lee, isn’t the biggest fan of Berk. I hear her often mumbling about how she wants to go back to Spain to her grandmother.

“All good with you?”, Leandra asks her best friend.

She knows how much he wants to be out there like the other teenagers and help out the grown-ups, but since he is so accident-prone he was basically banished into the blacksmith stall.

“Yeah, all good.”, he answers her.

“And about your little, you know.”, she pointedly looks in the direction of his new invention.

He gives her a small grin.

“Seems to be ready.”

Leandra nods.

“All right, if I get the chance I will join you in your plan, but to be on the save side, good luck, Hic.”

“Thanks, Lee!”

With a last wave, Leandra makes her way to Mister Svenson.

To Belong

It’s really dumb luck that Leandra is near the blacksmith stall when she sees Hiccup racing out of it with his invention.

She was currently handing out again burnt ointment and nearly throws it in the face of Mrs. Ingerson.

“Here you go. Gotta go to Gothi, I’m all out!”, she lies and ignores the calls for her.

Her best friend needs her moral support!

She finds him on a cliff overlooking the smoking catapult, thanks to the dragon Hiccup so much wants to kill.

“Hiccup, I’m here!”

He turns happily smiling at her.

“Perfect, timing, Lee. Help me set it up?”

“You need to ask?”

Together the two teenagers crank several levers, unfolding and then cocking the bowed arms of his contraption. He drops a bola onto a chamber and then pivots the weapon on a gimbal head toward the dark sky.

Leandra steps back and listens, just like Hiccup for the familiar screech of the Night Furry, while she has her hands in a prayer position.

She hopes the Lord has mercy on Hiccp and gives him this change.

Hiccup’s eye is pressed to the scope, hand poised on the trigger.

They hear the Night Fury approaching and Hiccup turns his aim to the defense tower.

It closes in for the final strike, completely camouflaged in the night.

“Come on. Give me something to shoot at, give me something to shoot at.”, mutters Hiccup to himself.

Leandra, still praying, mutters too: “Please my Lord, he needs it, please let him shoot it down!”

Boom! The tower topples. The blast of fire illuminates the dragon for a split second.

Hiccup pulls the trigger.

The flexed arms snap forward, springing the weapon off the ground. The bola disappears into the sky, followed by a whack and a screech.

Even if she prayed for it, Leandra can’t help it and her chin meets the floor.

Hiccup did it!

“Hic! You did it!”, she yells happily and hugs him from behind.

He is like a statue, till he realizes what he did.

“Oh I hit it! Yes, I hit it!”, he celebrates.

The boy turns around to hug his best friend better and the two jump around like two crazy kangaroos.

“Wuhu!”, shouts Leandra, so happy for Hiccup.

At least one of them would finally fit in!

“Did anybody see that?”, ask Hiccup exited.

It’s short-lived since when they turn around again the teenagers see a huge Monstrous Nightmare slithering up over the lip of the cliff.

“Except for you.”, Hiccup can’t help himself and deadpans at the dragon.

The black-haired girl grips his hands and drags him with her.

“Less talking, more running!”

“I know, I was just-“

“Hic, shut it and move these legs of yours!”

Both teens scream like children running through the Plaza, with the Nightmare fast on their heels.

Vikings scatter as Hiccup and Leandra dodge a near-fatal blast. The Nightmare's sticky, Napalm-like fire splashes up onto buildings, setting them alight.

“I swerve to Holy Mary, Hiccup, if we survive this, I’m going to kick your ass!”, shrieks Leandra.

“What did I do?! I didn’t tell the dragon to follow us!”

The boy makes them duck behind the last standing brazier, the only shelter available.

The Nightmare blasts it, spraying fire all around him.

The two best friends hug each other tight and Hiccup can hear how Leandra is praying to her god, eyes closed and shaking. He never wanted to risk his best friend’s life only to get the respect of his father and clan.

This so was not the plan!

But now it seemed that they both are toast.

With a gulp, Hiccup peers around the smoldering post. No sign of the Nightmare.

He turns back to find it leering at him, blocking their escape.

It takes a deep breath.

The boy turns himself and Leandra so around that his back is to the Nightmare and her to the brazier.

It was highly unlikely that they would survive the blast of the dragon, but if his maneuver could protect Lee even just a little bit, he would die happier.

Suddenly, Stoick leaps between them, tackling the Nightmare to the ground. They tumble and wrestle, resuming their earlier fight. The Nightmare tries to toast him, but only coughs up smoke.

“You're all out.”, informs Stoick the dragon.

He smashes the Nightmare repeatedly in the face, driving it away. It takes to the air and disappears.

Winded, Stoick turns to Hiccup and Leandra.

The girl has tear streaks going down her tan face, gripping the tunic of his son tight, while Hiccup hugs her too and pets her head to calm her down.

“Gracias a Dios!”, mumbles the girl relieved.

Stoick saved them from an early death!

That’s when the burnt brazier pole collapses, sending the massive iron basket crashing. It bounces down the hill, destroying as it goes and scattering the Vikings who were holding down the netted Nadders. The freed dragons escape with several sheep in tow.

Both Leandra and Hiccup made faces during the whole scene. It was kind of their fault.

“Sorry, dad.”

“I’m sorry, Mister Stoick.”

The escaped Nadders fly past with sheep in their clutches.

The raid is over.

The dragons have clearly won.

The murmuring crowd eyes Stoick, awaiting his response.

“Okay, but I hit a Night Fury.”, says Hiccup sheepish.

For a moment Stoick ignores his son to look at the young maiden beside him. The girl is still shaking and didn’t stop crying.

He gives her a little head pat and calls out to her father: “Gustavo, get your daughter.”

Leandra can’t even look that fast, as her papi takes her in his arms and Stoick grips Hiccup by the back scruff of his collar and hauls him away, fuming with embarrassment.

The girl knows what is going to happen and wants to step out of the embrace of her father, but he hugs her tighter.

“No mi amor you stay put, I nearly lost you, let your papi hold you.”

“B-But-“

“No, but!”

Meanwhile, Hiccup tries to talk to his father: “It's not like the last few times, Dad. I mean I really actually hit it. You guys were busy and I had a very clear shot. It went down, just off Raven Point. Let's get a search party out there, before it—“

“STOP! Just....stop.”, say’s Stoick.

He releases Hiccup. Everyone goes silent, staring expectantly. Leandra bites her lips. This will not end well for her best friend.

“Every time you step outside, disaster follows.”, Stoick nearly growls to his son. “Can you not see that I have bigger problems? Winter's almost here and I have an entire village to feed!”

Hiccup looks around. All eyes are upon him. Only Leandra’s eyes are friendly and worried for him. She is still crying.

Damn, he hates to make her cry.

Maybe that’s why he jokingly says: “Between you and me, the village could do with a little less feeding, don't ya think?”

A few rotund Vikings stir self-consciously. The black-haired girl can’t help to crack a smile.

“This isn't a joke, Hiccup! Why can't you follow the simplest orders?”

“Mister Stoick.”, calls Leandra out and sniffs her last tears away. “Please, Hiccup didn’t lie. I was with him when he shout down the Night Furry.”

“You are a good lass, Leandra, but this is between me and my son.”, reprimand her the chief.

Before she can say more her father commands practically: “Suficiente Leandra!”

So she shuts up and looks at the ground frowning.

“I can't stop myself.”, speaks Hiccup up and hopes so to get the nasty looks away from Leandra. She didn’t deserve them. She just helped him and was now probably scarred for life. “I see a dragon and I have to just... kill it, you know? It's who I am, Dad.”

“You are many things, Hiccup. But a dragon killer is not one of them.”

Autsch, this hurts!

Leandra looks at her best friend sad, while the other Vikings agree with Stoick.

“Get back to the house.”, wants Stoick from his son.

Gobber comes up and gives Hiccup a little slap on the back of his head.

“Make sure he gets there.”, Stoick tells Gobber. “I have his mess to clean up.”

Leandra wants to follow them, but her papi takes hold of her hand and leads them to their house.

“That was enough excitement for a night, young lady. We are going home!”

The black-haired maiden signs.

Oh, she will hear on earful when Sigrùr hears about all this.

Yeah!
