Ares Cabin Headcanons
Ares Cabin Headcanons
Ares is actually a really good dad who loves his daughters. He defended his daughter, Alcippe, after she was raped. He would do that for any one of his daughters.
Children of Ares will typically devote themselves to one person, who they would slaughter entire armies and die for.
They're the most passionate campers, besides the Aphrodite cabin.
The Ares cabin gets together with the other children of war gods (Athena, Nemesis, Aphrodite, etc.) to plan full out wars, or maybe just the inevitable zombie apocalypse, etc.
They have terrible nightmares where they essentially live through terrible wars, such as the Trojan war, and die terrible deaths alongside great heroes. A reminder that they were always born to die in battle.
They fight for their dad's attention a lot. While he doesn't particularly want to pay attention to any of them, he'll humor them every once in a while.
Even the smaller children of Ares that were built for agility and speed are incredibly strong powerhouses.
Their fatal flaw tends to be hubris. They're always searching and competing for glory. No matter how small and insignificant it may be, they always want to be the best.
They get along very very well with the Aphrodite cabin. And great with the Nemesis cabin, along with other children of war gods, but not so great with the Athena cabin.
They naturally talk very loudly. They also walk very quickly. Their footsteps are really loud, everyone can tell when a child of Ares is walking their way.
They have a very dark sense of humor. They laugh loudly and deeply, with their whole chest.

Friendly reminder that while Percy regains his memories, Jason died never knowing who he was before.
<33
Jason Grace considers himself flawed from conception, let me explain.
He was raised in a place that values rules and order and law and values Jupiter. These two things are important. Jason is a manifesting of his father's broken promise of the rules being bent, and yes, Jupiter is a king, but I like to think bc Jupiter hates jason, so so much that he reminds Jason that he is the child of a broken promise. The Kings word is law, and so doubting his rules are bad (and will get jason immediately murdered but that's a whole different issue) bit Jaosn is the perso who everyone can direct that hate too. Jason is like the sacrificial lamb. Htis makes no sense but like yeah.
And also, since he's a son of Jupiter, he has been told that it's his destiny to serve the legion and so the fact that he didn't pop out of the womb in armour defending New Rome is a problem. Who cares if it's impossible? He had to do that, and since he didn't, ue is a failure from the start. Or something
Thinking about how Jason lost his memories, and unlike Percy, he never properly got them back. Even in the later books he still feels completely disconnected from them.
Thinking specifically about how, unlike Percy who remembered Annabeth, Jason only remembered his training and his sister’s face—but he was so young when he got separated from Thalia that there barely is anything there for him to remember or hold onto. She cannot be the kind of comfort Annabeth is for Percy. She’s also not someone who Jason can ever come home to like one might to other siblings, seeing as she’s constantly on the move, specifically with a group of Hunters that doesn’t allow boys to join.
Thinking about Jason getting everything ripped away from him except his knowledge of how to be a hero for the gods. And he tries to learn how to be something else. He does. But he never quite manages. And in the end that is what kills him.
Pjo headcanon ask: anythin about the yesr roubd demigods lives at camp.
YESS, I love this ask!
First of all, they are closer to the nymphs than the rest of chb
Nymphs are often ignored by most of the campers but year rounders have more time to interact with them
Theorically, it is prohibited to sleep at other cabins
But they ignore that
Random summer camper: I wish I could spend more time in the rest of the cabins, they're all very cool Demeter year rounder: oh yeah I once spent like 2 months sleeping at the Hephaestus cabin lol
They know a lot of sheds scattered around camp that not even Chiron knew existed
This also means they have been in contact with a lot of cursed objects
Random year rounder: last month we discovered a shed in the middle of the forest Random summer camper: really? And what happened? Random year rounder: I touched a watering can and there's a high chance that I'll be haunted by evil spirits when I turn 18 hahah
Aaaaaaand I can't think of anything else, sorry, I know this was short :( but I'll edit if I think abt something more
