Talking about Piper McLean?!?!

We all know that Piper is repeatedly characterized that she is a vegetarian because of a meat factory thing- idk I haven’t read the books in a few months and I don’t want to go look at specifics,

But, I’m saying this as someone that currently at least; doesn’t like piper’s character too much, I find her boring, minorly annoying. Her personality gets a little same-ey and reading her chapters is boring- incredibly boring.

Okay finally the point; what if Piper’s clear empathy and compassion for animals extend to monsters? Am I saying make Piper a pacifist? No, at least not really. But making her much more averse and against killing monsters, that sounds interesting. The only other character that we get that has some sort of overall attachment to monsters is Octavian. And I think Piper getting this facet of character to her sounds interesting

But I don’t really talk about CHB kids; so this is new, and I will do more with them.

I’m working on the legion system for Camp Jupiter and rankings and size and all that fun stuff- it’s a lot and it’s super fun and silly-

Would pay money for an extra book that just went into Camp Jupiter’s war games + Camp Half-Blood capture the flag.

Includes rules, notable games, common strategies, and general information about them.

Would anyone else want that? No idea. Would I want that so I don’t have to keep thinking about it because my list of posts I have lined up is getting longer and longer, yes.

I- I never thought I’d be super interested in the first arc, it just never had anything that captured my interest.

Until now.

Every day the urge to talk about the Titan army just for the Titan’s, how they operated, the nitty gritty and not like for any of the demigod characters-

Just like- I keep getting interested in fictional armies (hate the army in real life- want to make that clear just because I am very interested in things like the Legion and now the Titan army I do not like the actual military. If it is any military event that happened no more than 500+(?) years ago Im not super interested.)

But. The Titan army. Or- really I just like the Titans, they, the brain worms they whisper to me. I’m sorry for that mental image but like- expect more-? Uh. Also probably some stuff on the logistics of the army, how they operated, how they moved around the country various ways- that stuff

Actual headcanon down below,

My parting gift is the concept that the Titan army is (obviously) heavily modernized. It may serve ancient beings for ancient causes but it’s still. Modern, demigods can run around with traditional weaponry but that won’t stop me or anyone from claiming things about their newly acquired demigods who weren’t exposed as much to things like Camp Half-Blood. Also uh, Titans :3 I will talk about titans (maybe just titans. We’ll see how far the obsession goes) also Luke Castellan led the equivalent of the Prima cohort (I only know ancient Roman military so this is going to be really funny in any post-) or like the best cohort. He leads the best troops in battle, he is the overall general. Oversees all of their training and does lead the full army- but that one special regiment(? Again don’t know modern army terms sorry) that’s his. Handpicked, they’re the ones who set up camp closest to the command tent.

Uh. Here’s the boy :3 I haven’t read Sun and the Stars so I don’t really know anything about him- but uh. Here are my headcanons

Wants to either be a surgeon or pediatrician. There’s little in between for him and he’s debating which one

He hangs out with the nymphs and satyrs on his time off because they know the best spots for finding herbs and magic stuff

Probably also really likes camps strawberries

Camp Half Blood Schedule

As of now I have 14 pages for the schedule and describing stuff and activities and it’s all mush, my brain is mush and please I want to go home and see my family 🥺😭😭

In all reality this is a combination of procrastinating reading Tower of Nero because all the characters I really care about have been drop kicked out of the narrative and I’m at my grandparents house. I have nothing to do and I have a horrible sense of time so let’s get into this (plus sometime down the line I’ll go over HoO re-imagining like. Camp Jupiter processes but I’m reading some books about the Roman legion so I’m gonna, tough that out and then report back lol)

Disclaimer!! I don’t know what time is, time is something that eludes my brain and the only summer camp I’ve been to was a Christian one with a foster family because I was bored that summer and I said why not (I’m not Christian but it was funny). Also I like completely forgot if there is anything in the books that actually have schedule lore. I forgot most things with CHB to be honest.

So anyways, actual meat and potatoes

7:30- wake up and get ready. Yes 7:30 sounds reasonable to me. It gives the kids 30 minutes before breakfast and campers can wake up before the ‘official’ time.

On Fridays we have cabin inspections, dictated by the arbitrary ‘one day we picked someone to do it first and now we’re on a rotation’.

8:00-8:30; breakfast time, yes you only get 30 minutes for breakfast we have things to do and does it take you more than 30 minutes to gobble up breakfast? (No judgement it took me 2 hours to eat lunch one time) but If I ever let the other 13+ pages of notes come to light they’ll be more in depth stuff about. Everything, but breakfast time includes

- one cabin setting up the Dining Pavilion

-Everyone offering to the Gods

-Morning announcements!

-yum actually eat food

-plate staking/cleaning up the tables

8:30-10:00; the first activity. The activities are your going to the arena, or the forge, all that jazz. Uh, there’s a board in the Big House where counselors set up the schedules (as in signing up for activities n stuff and coordinating) I’ll get into it someday. Maybe.

10:00-12:00; Activity 2/downtime. Because pinky swear just chilling is an activity. Downtime is important. I wrote down that cabins can sign for the same thing back to back if they so wish. Also the rules are looser than the words clinging onto my brain so really anything happens. It’s CHB they laugh in the face of a rule.

12:00-12:30; Lunch time. Nothing special about it. Uh ,:3

12:30-2:00; third activity. Action packed days for the win!

2:00-4:00; fourth activity time. Also probably when most of the campers start cabin revolts. No one agrees on a schedule most of the time.

4:00-4:30; actual specific free time. Some moments to gather round and chill out. You’ve already spent most of your day, doing something.

4:30-5:30; activity 5. Most of the time this can just be a continuation of the free time.

Don’t ask me what those extra 10 minutes are for no one really ever knows

After 6 o’ clock no one is allowed on the lake. Sorry man

6:00; also the beginning of Dinner. Dinner goes as planned, usually with some Camp wide event happening because of course. Can’t have good stuff here at camp/j

7:00; Camp Sing-a-long times!

7:30-8:00; your stuck in the Cabin circle but at least you get those last few minutes to hang out without the threat of harpies later in the night.

8:00; all campers enter cabins for like getting ready to go to bed and stuff. Get your last conversations in

8:30; official curfew is in effect. No one can leave the cabins except for counselors who need to plan the next day because they aren’t planning their full week on Sunday.

I have notes also on like. Everything else ,:3 Chiron gets lessons and the Cabins have to do those and stuff. Sorry I haven’t been, posting long posts like this for a while lol. I’ll probably get some HoO re-imagined Camp Jupiter content out once I finish this one book I’m reading and have my CJ notebook (yes I do have a whole notebook dedicated to CJ there’s my fun fact). Also, at some point I’d like to introduce Charlico (Chiron’s WIFE) to CHB if possible. Love you Charlico/j

Okay ,:3 I think I sound a little delirious, tomorrow I have to get on a plane and after that I have to go stay a week at someone else’s place. I’ll see all of you soon to talk about the forge or something. Or maybe I’ll finally get my master lists all sorted out and stuff lol.

Kleos cries over plates.

Kleos here, dear 5 people who read this you may be asking “Kleos why are you crying over plates? Whose plates are you mourning??” And I say, Camp Half-Bloods plates.

Specifically like here- I’m writing notes about stuff I want to post so I can have drafts that I can just shoot off when I’m on a plane or busy or just need something to put out. Pages 14-17 (as of now) are about mealtimes/the dining pavilion in CHB. Why does this affect the plates? Well, we all know about the Dryads and how they come over with the beef and the strawberries and all that jazz. Fine all good and dandy the plates are just plates.

And that’d be good, I could go off context clues and stuff and ramble about the diets of children at CHB with that. If Leo didn’t come barging in talking in MoA about the magical enchanted plates they got from CHB along with the cups that magically summoned food. I’ve been (not actually) crying over this for the past 2 hours because it hurts my brain to decipher what this means. Because we have the many instances of the very average plate plates and then the magical girl plates.

This in my head means two things. Either all the plates are magic at CHB except they don’t use the magic plates or those plates Leo has have been locked in Chiron’s china cabinet in the big house for display- which obviously the wording of the 2nd option is a joke but like. The lore implications of what the plates magical status to me in this fictional universe is somehow halting me completely in any progress which is stupid. “Kleos it’s just something Rick didn’t think of,” “Kleos as your peers say, tis not that deep bro” and I say to that. Yeah no duh, but who cares other arbitrary strawman me (the one worm in my brain that is realistic).

So, as I cried over what was going on with Michael Kahale all those months ago. Now I cry over plates. Fucking plates, because either option in my brain makes me ask “why aren’t they using the magic plates” when they use the magic cups??? I can just go with “they are in majority of canon seen as normal plates. Therefore they are normal plates and Leo was just on something/j” but this is my plate conundrum. Maybe in a few days I’ll answer my own problem but this has been “Kleos cries over a plate issue rather than actually writing that Bryce Lawerence fic or continuing to work on the first chapter of SoN re-imagined” thank you.

So I just realized that Jason has never met Dionysus, like yes he and Percy met him as Bacchus in Mark of Athena, but we all know that gods Roman and Greek sides are very different. In the book Jason even said that Bacchus wasnt that bad, and was actually revered by many, and he couldn't understand why Percy dindnt believe he could help. So now all I can think about is the fact that Jason decided to stay at Camp Half Blood, and we can assume that Dionysus still has to finish out his sentence as head of the camp. So if all that happens just imagine Dionysus just sitting in a Hawaiian shirt drinking diet coke, and Jason walks up to him, and dionysus is just like "get out of my face Joe gandolf" or something like that, and Jason is just so confused.

Because why in the absolute FUCK would you send a 13-year-old to tell a kid (which is under your supervision too btw) that "Oh yeah, your sister is dead" !?

That's not say that this man is also a complete DOORMAT to the gods!

Like bro, you're also one of Krono's kids and are also immortal and train their children, you have to have some agency.

Most gods do care about their children. I'm sure if you alerted them or talked to them, they would have at the very least done something indirectly.

You ignored Percy in favor of Thalia when she got resurrected! Choosing to focus on her instead of being strategic and training them BOTH.

There's also the matter of capture the flag. This man does absolutely nothing to supervise these games. If Percy didn't have water-healing powers, he might have just DIED. There is no consequence to the kid's wrongdoings, Clarisse barely gets a punishment for attacking Percy the way she did.

For someone who has been training heroes for thousands of years, he doesn't seem to do anything AT ALL.

Good God where do I even start!?

Let's start with my girl Zoe, and look I love her, but I cannot bring myself to forget the blatant way she SPECIFICALLY chose Bianca to be on the quest.

It was obvious as hell that she chose her because:

She just got recruited, she has no bond with Zoe or other members of the hunt, therefore if they lose her, she wouldn't feel that guilty or upset about it.

Strategically, she's also inexperienced, by sacrificing her, they are preserving more precious and useful members of the hunt who have more experience in battle and teamwork. By losing Bianca, she is essentially losing NOTHING, because if she's lost, then they're just gonna be back to the way they were before.

She also does the bare minimum to protect her on the quest, mostly ignoring her for the most part. There is no scene where she tries to help Bianca learn or give her pointers to her, to, you know, NOT DIE!?

Might be harsh from me, but I put half of the blame of Bianca's death on her. Bianca was her responsibility, and Zoe is not a teenager, she is thousands of years old and has been in the hunt for many years. Yes, Bianca should have not touched anything, but she's a kid and the responsibility of kids on the assigned guardian.

Look, I know why Zoe did why she did, she's a human like the rest of us, but her feelings are an explanation for what she did, not a justification.

Next is Artemis.

I get why she offered Bianca a place in the hunt, but at the very least she could have let her also see camp before offering her that, especially because she has a little brother which she loves. I can't really say much about her considering that Percy got kicked out of the tent before we could hear what she was saying to Bianca.

The next thing is the hunters characterization over all.

I cannot stand the way they act in camp. I'm sorry Rick, but you CAN like girly things and still be a warrior, liking pink isn't gonna stop me from punching someone in the face and shattering their jaw.

Why would you make the hunters look down on the Aphrodite kids because of that? If I like more feminine stuff, it isn't gonna decrease my capability as a person, it doesn't make me less.

The hunters, even in the myths, weren't just a man-hating group, they have had male members before, like that one guy Artemis went to hell and back to resurrect after he got killed by a sea monster.

Does camp half-blood have horse bathrooms specifically for Chiron? Or no, he just goes to do his work in the forest or stables?

Can Chiron eat grass or hay? Are they tasty to him?

Man, lack of sleep and a caffeine-running brain is one hell of a disaster.

Curse!AU (angst warning?)

Hear me out y'all. Being a halfblood there could be a like 1% chance you could inherit a curse alr. Like imagine Aphrodite!reader.

1% chance of inheriting a curse where reader is very codependent and could become eternally devoted to someone no matter how they are treated.

Additional things for this curse. Their eyes pupils turn into hearts when around this person, a sign of the curse and as they spend time with the person it slowly changes the color of their entire eye to pink.

Any ideas for the other gods as a curse that their halfblood!reader can develop? Im all for good curses and bad curses.
