hiya anonie! i honestly have a lot of favourite fics because there are honestly a lot of amazing writers in the em community. even if they’ve stopped posting or aren’t in the fandom anymore, i always gotta show my support for them. but if you want me to go down with one fic, only one it’s gotta be:

A nearly fatally wounded Mikasa is tended to by a guilt-ridden Eren. The task leads to a conversation and chain of events that throws the nature of their relationship into question.

it’s an amazingly written fic, so perfectly in character, the writer has captured eren and mikasa‘s charcter so well to the t. it fits in the canon verse, it could even fit in within the current timeline if it wanted to but gosh ive read this fic too many times to count and i still cry every time i read it, honestly if you haven’t read touch i highly recommend you do.

the fic is from eren’s point of view and they literally grasped his mindset excellently. a few hidden gems that actually tie in with canon and mikasa’s play field of emotions is captured perfectly too. it’s so em like this fic could just be canon honestly — it’s an absolute gem and i can’t thank the writer enough for what they’ve done!

What I’m most afraid… is… forgetting Anna. The strange lessons we have every day… are making my memories fade. Please, don’t make me forget Anna. It’s only Anna and me in this whole world.
