There's a reason why the Underfell AU is the new universe/home of Tear? Just curious

Tear's original AU does not exist anymore. There is nothing there to return to, not that Tear is aware of it. They also cannot AU travel on their own.

The headphones are crying!!!!! The headphones becoming somewhat sentient or matching Tear is not something I expected to see from quite a few fanarts actually. First one that cries now too. Such a wild but cool concept you all are going with.

The art is oh so cute. I love the background being a merge of Tear's colors and the blue of their magic. Love the posing and AGAIN the headphone detail. Some good art right there. Take all my love 💕

Oh gosh this was a fun read. Loving that little detail of what day it is and timeline. Really love how you drew Tear there and the text bit with 'ghostly sans & sansly ghost'. It's so silly and such a fun interaction overall. Super good stuff. Fr, enjoyed it quite a lot. Lob it <3

I decided to create Fanart for Undertear by @eriscary , as it somewhat reminded me of the multiverse stories told by fans in earlier days of the Undertale Community, despite still being in the early stages of an impressive comic!

However, I also still wanted to use this to practice writing for Sans in [Press the 'Z' Button, Idiot!], which worked quite well because of how Tear!Sans had already appeared in UnderFell during the currently most recent pages.

I hope that Tear!Sans was presented accurately here when seen in a new, yet motivational scenario from an AU Sans like this, because it's harder to tell with newer projects and characters, especially since Napstablook in Undertale was used as reference for their dialogue here.

(As a bonus, the posing for Tear!Sans' Full Body in the second/third panel has one of the most Battle Sprite-Accurate Sans heads that I've ever drawn!)

When Tear just gets their plush body, they don't automatically know how to 'phase'. The existence of the corporeal body makes the process feel different enough. Unlike before, they now need to use magic and Tear did not have enough time for self discoveries before Error showed up.

When Error attacks Tear, Tear's soul is exposed. Error planned for his strings to go inside his opponent in order to grab the soul. However, his intent force pushed it outside before time. With the new body, Tear didn't know how to reject the intent yet. This usually requires close to no effort and monsters do it instinctually. This is the only canon instance where Tear's soul is forcefully shown via intent.

Another way to force Tear's soul out is by, quite literally, tearing his body apart and digging through all the cotton. This needs to be done using magic, because the plush body won't rip otherwise. Alternatively, it's also possible without magic if Tear is fused with their body

Tear's ribcage area doesn't mimic a skeleton as perfectly. It is not hollow. They had no point of reference while making the body. This is why Tear is pretty soft.

I think Rezmo's just trying to scare Tear. Not sure why, but that seems to be what he's doing.

Tear accidentally blasted him with his tears. Since Rezmo's a ghost too and can only be hit by magical attacks, that's gotta hurt. Not like he didn't deserve it though.
