I did some house repairs under the deck a few days ago, which basically meant I was rolling around in dirt and mud for a few hours. I haven't had the chance to give my heavy jean "male" jacket the attention it deserves and wash it properly yet.

But I needed to go get the mail, and didn't want to be covered in dirt, which pretty much left me with my Frost Sisters coat. I'm still not super comfortable leaving the house looking obviously trans, because to me, I'm not "trans enough" especially in the face hole area.

(And I know there's an entire other conversation there, and I KNOW you don't have to pass, and yet...)

So I had a nice twitchy self conscious stress filled trip to the post office. Of COURSE no one said anything, but good lord it still is going to take me awhile to get used to things like that.

Which, ironically, is helped by, y'know, just doing it.
