A College Student Created A Powerful Photo Series Inspired By Brock Turner’s Release.

“It happens to anyone.”

Twenty-year-old Yana Mazurkevich’s photo series “It Happened” was created for sexual assault awareness media platform Current Solutions. She said the photos look as if they are frozen in motion, showing “something that actually happens in real life.”

“And this happens to real people, people close to you, people who you know,” she said.

No way we should excuse rape and rapists in the US. Black people are dying behind bars for stealing snacks, Brock Turner serves 3 months for raping an unconscious woman. 

Please share! People need to step out of their comfort zones to speak up and start a conversation.
