Lowkey wondering if the reason why Tyrian—a homicidal mass murderer who terrorized the people of Anima—worships Salem like a “goddess” is because she killed more people in a day than he’s killed in his entire life. Like could imagine Salem’s pitch to get Tyrian to join her side:

Tyrian: Lady, I’ve killed more people than you can count. Why should I follow you?

Salem: I was responsible for the deaths of my first husband, our children and all of humanity first time coming. Get on my level, 

Tyrian: *instantly bends the knee* … My QUEEN!

When you think about it in this light, it really puts a whole new spin to the catchphrase “YES QUEEN! SLAY!” Now I can’t stop picturing Tyrian saying that to Salem.

Some more reincarnation AU concepts. Here we have Senjurou who’s soul is being gradually absorbed by the demon residing inside him in exchange for its power. Hopefully I can post more regarding this AU, and Senjurou especially, in the future.

I have this headcanon where Japan can't be the only country with supernatural problem. If this is happening in Japan then who knows what's happening in other countries. Since this is the Taisho era, of course there's going to be trading with other countries. Sometime in the 80s, this Chinese (or Russian, I need to do some research to avoid cultural insensivity) fire bird spirit locked inside an amulet/box/i need to do sum fleshing out. is taken to Japan and studied by archaeologists and put up in a museum. According to archaeologists, the item was worshipped as a regional deity when really it was a parasitic spirit that fed on the spirits of their host. It was just smart and manipulated the humans around it into thinking it was a god. However, in a battle, the spirit lost power and was trapped inside the object. There'd be a fire when the Senjurou would be visiting the museum on an elementary school excursion where the item would be on display. The fire would be blazing out of control and Senjurou would be on the edge of death when his spirit would inadvertently awaken the spirit. The spirit and Senjurou would make a deal. His life in exchange for the lives of everybody in the museum. The fires calmed down enough for fire fighters to extinguish the blaze and rescue the remaining people alive inside. But Senjurou would have to live with the knowledge that exchange for the power of the spirit residing inside him, his soul eventually be devoured.
