As his father made his grand introduction, Whitley was merely caught on why the magnum opus of Atlesian technology look like a teenage girl.

Aight so I said I wasn’t gonna make an fox OC to Oscar’s little prince

But hear me out here

With all the sweet childhood friends and nice fox girls others have created, I wanna propose a fox that is not meant to bring the prince and rose together. No, this is a fox meant to drive them away. She’s playing a different sort of game. One of lies, tricks and deceptions. She’s meant to break the main cast apart. She’ll leak information on Blake Belladonna being a former White Fang member, setting up The Trial of Blake Belladonna, led by anti-faunus Atlesian authorities. She’ll appear as a friend to Ruby Rose, using ‘empathy’ to understand Ruby’s point of view and gain her favour. She’ll pair up as Oscar’s ‘partner’, appearing as a friend, pushing the boundaries of their relationship to further entangle the boy in her web of power and lies. She’s a fox in the manner that she lies and cheats and tricks. 

Her motivations? I have no idea. But maybe she’s a devout followers of Salem, much like Tyrian. Perhaps she has something to gain from all the chaos, since as Petyr Baelish once said ‘chaos is a ladder’ and she can use that to raise her station. Perhaps she’s working with Cinder. Perhaps she wishes to have Oscar for herself and wants to drive everybody away from him to have him all to herself. 

Her beauty is great and match with her ‘warm’ temperament, she’s incredibly likeable and popular. People can’t help liking her. What do you mean she lied to you? She wouldn’t do that. She’s too nice. Honestly, aren’t you being a jerk? Maybe you’re jealous of her. 

But she’s here to make friends and stab them in the back. She’s not nice. She’s cruel, cold as Atlesian winters in her heart but appearing to be as warm as the Mistrali springs, and you can never trust anything she says.

This is driven by the fact that there aren’t enough villains in RWBY and maybe by all the foxes and roses that were graciously created are good, nice girls. I’m weird. I like villains. 

So since One Thing and the Brunswick Estate has given us possibilities for Neo’s origin story I suggest that after Neo (whose name may not be Neo after all. Thank you, One Thing) and Roman escaped the Apathy at the Estate, the two of them got separated. Neo was rendered mute and amnesiac, leaving her to wander aimlessly. This would be the time Neo would start to develop her unique fighting style meanwhile Roman got smarter, playing at being a magician’s apprentice here and a simple goon for criminal there. Roman would eventually hear descriptions of a cold-blooded killer whose description would match that of his childhood friend and go out and seek her, leading to their eventual reunion, Neo’s subsequent naming and the two of them becoming partners in crime.
