Anna and John's friendship means the world to me.

Anna is immediately starstuck by Rose and her intelligence (be still my heart) and we like to joke that she nearly proposes to Margaret (can I hug you). Because she loves scientists. And she is especially excited to meet other female scientists.

Meanwhile Samuel's just Rose's brother who helps haul bricks. Pretty much the only thing she says to him is to thank him for hauling bricks. Until the satellite launch. Because he's the one who first realizes she was on her father's ship. Which I think is interesting. She mostly talks to herself/to John about what happened. Which makes sense, since John is her best friend. But I do think it would be interesting to explore the theme of legacy and struggling to live up to the expectations of deceased parents, with Samuel and Anna. Just based on Samuel's parts in Through the Glass.

Also I loved Urania Propetia, but it would also be interesting to see interactions between just Anna and Rose, or just Anna and Margaret. Because I can see Rose easily matching Anna's high energy, whereas Margaret's a bit more reserved but just as intense about wanting to know more. Rose is along for the adventure, for the scientific discovery. Margaret's searching for meaning.

And they also both have their own things with family and legacy. Rose wanting to be more than this, and Margaret wanting to find what's been lost.

Anyways, all this to say I have a lot of feelings about Anna and would love to see her return and interact with everyone.

anna for the ask game thing

i love her!!! one of my favorite Pulp characters, for sure.

I ship her and Sia! but that's not a surprise, you know me :p. her and Margaret is also something I've been considering, but I like their bond as friends, so I don't ship them all that much. still neat though.

her and John mean the world to me. um maybe this is cheating, but I've been writing her interacting with Kal lately. and I really like how fucked up that dynamic is.

hm... I wish we'd gotten to see her dynamic with Samuel! we know her dynamic with John, Margaret, and Rose, but not so much with Samuel! I would've liked to see that. and her and Benjamin should talk. it would be good for him. and her and Sia should kiss. at some point.

Yeah I know what you mean with writing her. I write her a lot, but I'm never sure that I have her voice right, since she's very much a character who uses words very carefully. Same as Samuel.

I was just ranting about this in another post, but I would also love to see more of Margaret and Anna. Anna tends to bury her sadness behind a smiling face and bubbly disposition, whereas Margaret's blatantly honest about her feelings, even the negative ones. Margaret's a bit more hesitant after the hoax, but like you said, Anna's the one person who wasn't involved in that. So idk, maybe Margaret does some more trauma dumping and Anna feels safe enough to open up about her own negative stuff too.

I loved Margaret and Benjamin friendship in the Benjamin comes alslong AU. Because again, he told her the truth, and also the Stratfords are passed at him and she's pissed at the Stratfords. So you know. Bring him along for revenge. Forgiveness parallels and all that. Never saw them as romantic before Jack opened my eyes to Radiant Sunsets.

How I feel about this character

How do I describe Margaret Cavendish? No, but seriously, she’s my favourite character in Pulp. Dahan clearly put so much thought into writing her, and I adore all of her solos. She’s a tricky character to write, but I try my best! She has so much sadness and mystery packed into her, but she’s finally starting to find her answers! I hope we get to learn more about her in Searcher.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

I’ve got a couple! Samuel, of course. I started that ship name, but I genuinely think they have such a fun dynamic. Anna, because I honestly believe Anna fell a little in love with the beautiful, rich woman who’s funding her passion project, and I think Margaret deserves someone to talk to in the Township who wasn’t remotely involved in the Hoax. And somehow, Benjamin, because my friend @its-short-for-jackalope wrote a very fun thing for Radiant Sunsets that got me fully on board.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Hmm, hard one. I guess I’d have to say Rose? Don’t get me wrong, I can ship this too. But when I think of her and Margaret, it’s usually platonic. Plus, I just love Babel.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I don’t think I have one, really. All of my Margaret opinions have been received pretty well.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

If she’s not space royalty, I’ll eat my hat.

I ask myself, as I steal my husband's formal wear. Both, actually.

He's just been telling me I look nice and adjusting small parts of the outfit, helping me decide which shoes, belts, pants, etc. look best together. I love that man so much.
