You know that feeling, when you're staring at your reflection (because you've been wearing a mask for 4 years and are still not used to seeing your own face) and contemplating your life choices? And then your ex-lover shows up, but instead of attacking you again, he just gives you a very tight hug. Because he still hates you for the whole faking your death and torturing him thing, but he's also just super glad you're alive? Anyways, this is what I think that would look like.

and I have to shout out fallinginaforrest's awesome art that opened my mind and made me think "oh yeah they're probably a bit scruffier than they were in the beginning" and thus inspired me to give both Samuel and John a little more scruff than I usually do.
