i actually think it was a great choice to shift the canon timeline for the forging of the one ring. in this timeline, sauron loses celebrimbor (both loses his friendship and loses their battle of wills) and then is utterly rejected by galadriel right before he forges the one ring. i think these events will serve to push him further down the path of evil and away from his self-deluded “good intentions” and add more anger and hatred into his forging process when he does go to create the one ring.

I like the idea that if I don't post on here in over 24 hours people probably assume I'm out living my life when in reality I've just been sucked into a 100k fanfic and the idea of not reading it for more than a second makes me want to eat my own hands
