4. Do you write every day? If so, do you have daily goals?

I try to write every day, but that isn't always possible! My usual routine is I write in bed as soon as I wake up for an hour, where I usually aim for about 1000 words but almost always fall short. In my opinion it's always better to have 10 extra words than none!

17. What piece of writing are you most proud of?

That one's tricky! Probably either this Hawkeye fic because it got such a good reception and the amount of serotonin I got was wild, or the ripples they cause, which is the longest project I've ever tried to execute and I've learnt so much while writing it!

The outsider POV in this fic is what makes it so funny, and honestly, the dramatic irony had me giggling the whole way through!

Everyone's a Critic by Englandwouldfall (109k)

Dean is a chef, and Cas is a food critic who calls his garlic bread "closeted". It only gets funnier from there. I read the entire thing in one sitting and I loved it!

Dean and Cas are radio DJs, and everyone seems to think they're dating. It's so funny but also a really sweet friends to lovers story!

Sam Winchester, Ally At Law by alittleduck (3.3k)

This is the first of three in an absolutely hilarious series!! The whole series is so funny and lighthearted, I think everyone should read it!

Broadway Musical by Griftings (12k)

This fic is funny on it's own. What makes it one of the funniest Supernatural fics of all is the formatting.

I absolutely LOVE NorthernSparrow's fics and this is one of my favourites... it's an AU set in an Alaskan research base, but it manages to be closer to canon than you would expect. As always the writing is brilliant and the plot is just perfect!

You Can Keep Holding On by NorthernSparrow (352k)

Speaking of NorthernSparrow... I usually try and keep it to one fic per author per list, but I couldn't help myself this time. If you love angsty slow burn, this is the fic for you. I don't want to spoil it any more than that, so just go read it!

A lovely AU where Dean fakes his death and ends up living with Cas and his kids. It's a really touching fic, and honestly one of the best uses of Jimmy I've ever seen!

A/N: Hello everyone! There will be 2 more chapters of this fic coming out in quick succession, and then I will be taking a month's break in order to rewrite the earlier chapters before continuing. There's more detail about this break in the end notes for this chapter :D

Here's a snippet:

To begin with, Matt was hesitant to move out of Hell’s Kitchen. To live outside of it — even if it was only by three blocks — was a betrayal; to his parents, and to the residents he spent his nights fighting for. Foggy, as usual, was the one to talk sense into him. “It’s a five minute walk away, Matt,” he said. “And you know as well as I do that we’re lucky to have found any landlord that will take two Blipped tenants.”

Now, as he perches on the rooftop of their apartment building, he knows Foggy was right. Adding a few more blocks to his patrol isn’t killing him, especially since the amount of organized crime has plummeted to the lowest Matt has ever seen. Apparently, half of your obscure European gang disappearing puts a dampener on evil schemes.

Matt leaps from one rooftop to the next. The gravel digs into his skin through the thin fabric, and he once again misses the costume Melvin made for him. Maybe he worked with Fisk, but God, nearly being framed or killed would be worth it to get back an outfit that actually protected him.

At least Foggy enjoyed it when he ripped his shirt.

Matt has only made it two blocks when he hears another person nearby. He drops down onto a creaky fire escape, trying to decipher whether or not they are a threat. Before he can get a decent grasp on his surroundings, however, the person begins crawling up the walls.

Matt recoils in horror, taking a sharp step backwards. The fire escape unleashes a deafening whine, and the floor disappears underneath his feet. With nothing to break his fall but the concrete pavement, he knows that this is going to be a Claire evening — if he manages to survive at all.

He tucks his knees up to his chest, trying to reduce the number of bones he’s about to break. But just before he hits the ground, something slams into him and sticks him to the brick wall of the alleyway.

Struggling against the strange substance that is pinning him to the wall, Matt whips his head around, trying to figure out whether he has been saved, or trapped. The material is stretchy — enough to allow him to breathe comfortably, at least — but strong, designed to stop someone much more powerful than him from escaping.

“Oh my God,” a voice says from the rooftop of the building opposite. Matt tilts his head, gritting his teeth through a mild concussion to focus on the stranger. The voice belongs to a teenage boy, who appears to be covered head to toe in spandex.

“Spiderman,” Matt concludes.

“Are you okay, sir?” he says, swinging down to the pavement. “That was a close call! That fire escape has to be against health and safety laws, you should totally complain.”

“I don’t live there,” Matt says.

Spiderman pauses, his heart rate skyrocketing. “Oh my God. Are you Daredevil?”

“No,” Matt says. “I’m a cosplayer. Can you get me down?”

“Right! Let me just — uh, I’m gonna have to pull you, I’m so sorry. God, this is so embarrassing.”

“For both of us, believe me.”
