Is there a Theon scene that stands out to you in particular that you think should be spoken about more?

fsffffff where to start...

i think the scenes that stand out to me the most to me, besides the 'obvious' ones (godswood scenes, escape with jeyne, etc) are theon's interactions with roose, the spearwives, barbrey, as well as the dogs. i'm also personally extremely emotional over the short and very uncomfortable glimpses in how jeyne & theon interact as ramsay's girls/co-captives/playthings.

also the sample chapter with stannis, i rarely ever see stannis’ decision to torture theon mentioned much. (it’s like this scene gets read as “stannis holds him captive & in chains” while the torture gets disappeared from the reading.)

maybe because i myself had kind of ‘forgotten’ about it or didn’t think about it much, i most appreciated alleyskywalker's post about theon's "i will not command any men to die with me". it adds so much! it questions the usual takes like "theon in acok was so bad and in adwd he is so victimised so can we still be mad but he finally does sometimes selfless for the first time in his life a first step to redemption maybe?" if we remember that sacrificing his own chance of survival for the sakes of others is sth he was already capable of in acok. so his evolution is about sth else.

i also think that the aftermath of theon & asha’s reunion might be worth a (re)read, i mean i think the scene itself might be worth a reread (if only to remember that it was asha initiated the flirting & escalated to touching which i think most people are not aware of) but also theon's subsequent nausea and loss of appetite and feeling of violation, the ironborn gender power plays w/ asha + everybody else during the feast, theon lowkey wanting to die at the end of that chapter, this is all less memeable than “lol horny man hits on his sister” but also way more interesting.

I Wait, Staring At The Northern Star (I'm Afraid It Won't Lead Me Anywhere) - (asoiaf, M) a fic focused on the premise of Theon and Palla reuniting post-Ramsay (even though Ramsay is very much present within this fic). Probably my favorite of my fics right now!

With The Ink Of A Ghost - (got, T) this one is a Theon/Sansa canon-divergent au, in which Theon accompanies Sansa to the wall. They also reunite with Jon!

All Of Midas's Sons - (the outsiders, T) a Dally/Johnny au where they both live and reunite 20 years later. (My personal darling).

you've got blood on your hands and i know it's mine (i just need some time) - (jjba, T) a gen Giorno fic focused on him reuniting with his mom, lots of hurt/comfort. (This is my most popular fic, which i find quite surprising tbh).

seven years old - (pjo, NR) an unrequited childhood crush Thalia/Annabeth fic, that plays with the idea of Annabeth having a crush on Thalia instead of Luke.

... aaand writing this post has made me realize just how many of my fics are centered around reunion. Lol.
