To have Jin Xian take his place is a deliberate choice, and I’m curious to discover if it has the implications I think it might have.

I was just skimming this show for Happy Ghost’s actor, hoping he might interact with Beauty Ghost once or twice. I didn’t expect to be emotionally devastated and compelled by his tragic relationship with a puppy-dog-eyed arsonist, but here we are.

Here’s the music video with English subtitles! Since it’s been referred to as a promotional song on Weibo and Youku, I would say that it’s likely not going to be the theme song (personally, I’m still holding out hope for keeping the donghua theme).
